The Earth, a planet with a history known only to one race, the humans. Earth, the birthplace of Empires, and the resting place for Kingdoms. Earth, a land where billions of people have been born, but also a land where billions have died. Earth, the only place where the Human race could reside, the only place where empires could expand, the only place where humans could live. This has changed now, a technology has been passed around all nations on earth that opens up the Sol system for colonization. With the invention of terraforming, Empires that where mighty on earth, can now become even mightier in space.

The year is 2453. Earth has seen crimes against the things living there, and it has seen crimes done against itself. Genocides, plagues, wars, bombings, nuclear radiation. All of these things caused by the people living there. But now, with the sky opened up for settlers to take, these things shall spread farther out. Planets such as Mars, which is desolate, could now see huge wars of epic proportions.

Humanity shall no longer be stuck to roam Earth, it shall now be free to take the land of Sol. It is free to forge Empires. It is free to conquer all that must be conquered. It is free, to once again, colonize lands unknown.

The Battle For Sol has begun.

Hi everybody, and welcome to my first Rp on this new account of mine, Battle For Sol. If you couldn't tell from my long winded description, this RP will be about controlling your nation through the times of the new age of Colonialism. The Solar System has been opened up for nations to take as there own lands, and now, it is up to you to take it from your enemies hands.

This is the first RP I have ever hosted like this, but I have hosted plenty before on different websites and some with my old account on here.

This RP is not just going to be an RP though, oh no. With this, I shall have a wiki, and from what I plan by the end of this, I want a whole new chapter of history formed from this RP.

3.5. Speaking of OP nations, what defines as an OP nation is someone owning a land the size of Russia with 3 trillion population and 3 billion nukes. Basically, keep it realistic.

6. For IC posts, the least amount you can have is 3 paragraphs, with no limit to how much you can have (So 3 paragraphs to however much you want paragraphs)

Will pull up satellite images of Mars and circle a few things, I may have a few colony domes on Jupiter and I may take a bit of the Asteroid belt, but all of these are dabbles, except Mars, which would house more permanent settlements.

So I have a question, how are companies going to work? I'm considering to go with a sizable corporation rather then having a nation.

Companies are, like nations, going to be character base. But instead of like, going to war, you shall control what nations get how much of you products.

And what about singular characters and rebel groups. I'm gonna be a company as well, but I'm curious about the other things.

I'm assuming that alongside whatever nation/company we're making we also need a character to play, makes enough sense that way. Also do I need to list landholdings like a nation?

No, Companies do not have landholdings, but if you ask the person first, you can (maybe), list where your companies HQ is.

Rebel groups play like nations, but on a smaller scale.
With Singular Characters you just go through what they are currently doing.

Enough for terraforming and floating cities with spaceships that can stay in orbit without recharging for 10 years.

Hmm it might be easier to give an example of some movie or book that will be close to what we can expect, there's a lot to cover especially since we are looking at everything at once.

I may have a mini-planet in that case, composed of various asteroids to make the Agamemnon Colonial Sphere. Jupiter holdings may be difficult, but if I drain some of the gas and set up shields as well as water ad oxygen, it should be self-sustaining. I would assume we have the tech to make a round-trip from Earth to Jupiter around a month?

There is really no exact book that I can compare. Maybe a sort of Enders game technology, just with no FTL and you can't leave the solar system without going out there for about 100 or so years.

Yeah we do.

Oh no, Lightsabers can be used, kind of sorta.
Not in the star wars way, so no, it is not powered by a crystal.
If you do use it, it would have to be used a sort of modified laser gun, as in you modify the gun/hilt to send out a constant stream of lasers firing that go to a certain length, the longer you make the lightsaber, the weaker it is.

Yeah, as long as it is mostly accurate.

Also guys, I decided not to go with New Confederacy, but instead I will go with New Russian Empire. Will update claims.
