¨Wait!¨ Griff shouted out to Danni, loosing volume as he realised he had most likely waked her up, and angered her ¨I have a request for myself ¨ he mutered just loud enough for her to hear, he already had a debt so this certainly was a selfish request, he mustered the courage and petitioned ¨I need a lever action rifle, but not any normal rifle, I have to modify the chambers to be able to use these shells ¨ Griff took some of the trinkets that Natsu had picked up before, slight of hand was his specialty, after all, and at such a close distance, that said, it was no piece of cake, Natsu´s focus was unbelievable, but back to the matter at hand. ¨These special shells are essential to my arsenal, so ¨ he hesitated a bit before determinedly asking ¨may I use the workshop to modify a rifle and pay you back latter? While the parts cool off, I´ll help the workshop in any way I can to repay you of course ¨ The shells Griff took out were a peculiar bunch, they were intricate and clear but of simple operation, when the shell impacted a second time, it would release mic the contents of the two cambers inside producing a great flash of light that passed though the glass but, if one desired, it had a second feature that mixed the liquids at the first or third impact, The one next to it had the same function but it worked on a timer, a good weapon smith would realise their functions at a close inspection.

Dani turned over in bed and slowly rose, much like a zombie. Shambling her way into a room off to the side with her eyes still closed, the 5 people in the other room heard a bunch of rummaging and shuffling, things being moved. Suddenly there was a huge *CRASH* followed by a voice "SON OF A FUCKING BITCHIN' FRIZZY!!!!!!!!", then a huge light like the sun erupted from the dark. "FOUND IT!" came as voice as the light died down into nothing and Dani came shambling back out like nothing happened, holding a long silver accented mahogany box. She tossed it to Griff. "Here. That should work. I think it was supposed to go to some whiny dick in the Marines, but he... decided to leave it. Do whatever you want to it on your own time. I own you right now, so I don't mind if you arm yourself. Everyone else is. You can just pay me back later. Oh, and just so you know, it utilizes magazines for reloading. There are five in the box in addition to the one already equipped. You need to modify those as well" She said, crawling back into bed...

"Well," Sammy said as he stood up. "If that's everything, we should probably head to our rooms. Show me the way bald guy!" Sammy ran out the door eager to get to the room...he then quickly returned to grab the menu and denden mushi then leave again.

Griff took the box and the awesomely crafted riffle to the workshop straight away, there were a lot of people around doing their own thing so Griff just ignored them, and how could he not, he had an expertly crafted rifle. The workshop was all over the place, but it had to have some sort of order, so Griff worked piece by piece and returned everything to how it was, it made the modification process much longer than expected but at least he would avoid getting into more debt and trouble. First he disassembled the rifle, got to know the ins and outs of the rifle, then he took the cartridge and, sadly, modified it, it was almost unbearable to modify such a great piece, but Griff would modify it to an even better model (in his tastes anyway), while working, he attracted the attention of some of the inhabitants, they laughed at his modifications, he showed the versatility of them, and they corrected him on power output, they exchanged ideas, stories, laughs, drinks and finally, they got him drunk, well they all ended up drunk and asleep, the rifle finished and ready, next to them.

Ike and Mike lead the remaining two out of Dani's room and brought them to their respective rooms. Without a word they handed Sammy and Natsu a key to their room and left without a word, back to their posts. Sammy IMMEDIATELY called the kitchen on the denden mushi and ordered so... oh, so much meat. After her unbelievably long day, Natsu was exhausted. Dozens of thoughts ran through her head, but she was just too damn tired to deal with them now. She didn't even bother checking the room or anything, flopping onto the bed. In less than two minutes she was out. Around the same time, there was a knock on the door of room 1 and Sammy threw the door wide open as a man wheeled a tray loaded UP with all kinds of meat. Sammy was practically flooding the room with saliva. The delivery-boy left, but Sammy either didn't notice or care, his attention only on his dinner. Hell, he almost didn't want to eat the gorgeous pieces of art in front of him.... but that lasted for less than an attosecond as he dove in. Almost immediately after he finished, Sammy was passed out with a pleased grin on his face, as a deep, deep fog began to roll in... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 5 hours later... ------------------------ *BOOM!!!!!!!!* A massive explosion jerked Dani out of the land of dreams and into reality. Darting to the window, she found the entirty of the island covered in highly dense fog. It was almost impossible to see anything... except for one large battleship in the northern dock. It was a marine ship. Dani didn't understand. She didn't have a bounty on her or anything like that, so why where they here? She didn't have much time to think as a burst of fire came from the ship. Immediately, she grabbed the megaphone denden beside her and shouted "TAKE COVER!!!" as the cannonball flew over the wall and crashed into one of the food shops. "CODE RED! CODE RED! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!! RAISE THE DEFENSIVE SHIELDS AND ASSUME BATTLE POSITIONS!! GO! GO! GO!" she ordered, grabbing her coat and guns as she left her room, dashing down to room 15. She broke down the door "Alright little missy, why the fuck are the marines attacking my island!? I want answers, NOW!"...

As the attack raged on, Sammy slept peacefully, snoring away in his room, until… BOOOM “NGYAAAH!” *THUMP* “itetete, What the?...” CRASH Sammy stood up, grabbing his hat and placing it on his head,and ran towards the window to see what all the commotion was, but all he could see was the rooftops of the town. “What’s with all this fog?” BANG “Huh?” He looked up to where that sound had come from but all he saw was a canon ball heading right towards him! Acting quickly, Sammy jumped out of the window just before the ball hit. he was able to land on top of one of the buildings and gain his bearings. “Who the hell is attacking this place?!?” BANG another canon shot, Sammy was able to track where the sound came from this time, and what he saw was none other than the famous Seagull flag. “Marines…”

Natsu had slept fine, no dreams of any kind. And then of course everything went to shit. BOOM! Immediately, she shot to her feet looking out of the window. Hmm, a fog eh? Lucky bastards. She pinpointed the sound of the bangs and just then her door was kicked down. "Alright missy why the fuck are the marines attacking my island!? I want answers, NOW!" Dani demanded. "I don't know. I left before anyone could go back to Lougetown and order a command. However, they shouldn't have sent anyone after me, even if I am just a lieutenant." She said utterly confused as to why marines would be here after she said she would capture the law breakers.

BOOM, Griff and the others around him woke up in a panic, flames begun to burn the shops around them, the another explosion, this time some debris was launched at Griff and the others, He quickly dodged out of the way but some of the people behind them didn’t react in time, leaving some nasty wounds. It was the first time Griff had been in a group, and him acting for himself meant that other got hurt, and there was nothing he could do about it, his weakness was apparent to him once again. Then they all heard Dani over the megaphone, “CODE RED! CODE RED! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!! RAISE THE DEFENSIVE SHIELDS AND ASSUME BATTLE POSITIONS!! GO! GO! GO!” she ordered and as if it was nothing all the men before him stood back up and organised themselves into attack and first aid positions, supporting each other and facing whatever it was that was attacking, Griff just stood in silence and his mind took him to an unexpected conclusion. The last time someone cared for him, he wasn’t able to help, but now, these men treated him .. normally so he took a high vantage point over them, asked a worker there for arrows “Why arrows, those are cannons! what are you gonna do, poke them away?“ Griff just took out his bow, took out one of the arrows he had brought with him and pointed at the ship, another cannonball was shot, Griff took aim “Shooting star, COMET” the arrow shot flew straight and true with a loud bang, striking the cannonball that exploding in in mid air. “That is what I can do, please, any arrows you find” Griffs hands were shaking a bit, it was do or die time, no quick way out, this was a true battle. He took a better look at the ship and saw the seagul mark “Marines? our bounty’s aren’t that high, somethings off here” looking to the side he saw Sammy on one of the rooftops.

A large *WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE* droned through the compound as the massively tall, thick, heavy, metal walls of the defense system ground into place. So long as those were up, no more cannonballs could get through. Meanwhile, Dani growled as Natsu appeared to be telling the truth. Lougetown WAS only a five day journey, she didn't see how it was possible, or even fucking why it was plausible, to send a fully equipped battleship after one small marine. And why would they fire on her rather than just talk. She was on... okaaaay... ish... standing with the government. Not to mention she would have gotten a Wanted poster in the mail BEFORE they had time to reach her. Before she had time to think the rest of this through, however, she noticed something odd in the fog. A... hand? Holding... SHIT!!! ... ... ... ... BOOOOOOM!!!!!! Room 15 exploded as an RPG hit. 18 feet down, Dani had her hand jammed into the side of the tower, Natsu clutched tightly in her left arm. Letting her down gently (the ground was two feet down), Dani unplugged from the wall. "Okay... clearly these guys don't care about killing you to kill me. These are not marine tactics. Someone is playing pretend... but why?" Dani said, mostly to herself. Once again, she didn't get long to think as suddenly dozens of men and women started to rain down from the fog, guns ablazing. Each one was dressed as a marine... but clearly... these were mercenaries. And not just any. These guys belonged to the Aka Pirates. 'Marvy-chan would NEVER do this... somethings wrong' she thought, pulling out her guns and popping some of the bastards. Acquaintances or not, no one... NO ONE... fucks with her family...

Sammy smiled to himself. It looks like everyone can handle themselves right now, which means he can go and take care of the big problem. “Oi, Dani!!” the woman turned to face him. “Is there a way i can get over the wall!?” “Yeah, there’s a lift at the south end of the town!” “Sweet!... Which way is south?!” Dani pointed to her right. “Alright!,” Sammy turned around to face Griff. “Griff, i want you to meet up with Dani, do whatever she say to do!! I’m gonna go check on our ship!!” Sammy knelt down, readying himself. Suddenly, he began sprinting across the roof he was on, leaping to the next and then the next, all in the direction Dani pointed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He soon found himself at the foot of the wall, stretching stories above him. "Man this thing is huge. Now where's that lift" "Oi, quit pushing!" "Huh?" Sammy turned to see many of the residence cramming into a small room connected to a railing on the wall. "That must be it." Sammy jogged over to the group of men trying to get on. it was clear to him that he wasn't going to get on normally, so instead, he leaped over top of the group, jumped off one of their heads and landed on top of the lift just as it was taking off.

Griff put away his bow, taking out what little trinkets he had and the riffle just as Sammy instructed him to head towards Dani, Griff was surprised as how Sammy took charge of the situation but it was no time to be amazed at that, as he headed towards Dani, he noticed that marines were raining from the sky, stoping to a halt he looked up as a weird fog dropped, Griff had never seen something like that before, he stood there stumped, then the marine fire got him back on his senses, he took cover and collected his thoughts, a little further down, Dani was shooting the sky, as mad as he had seen her yet. Griff took that second to move further close to her. he kept to the side as he shot a sound bomb at the Cloud, maybe that could help a bit and daze the falling marines.

Natsu placed a hand to her head a bit dazed at the explosion. Two years was barely enough time to be accustomed to this, she thought and stood up even if everything was spinning. She needed to get over it, and done now. So she took out her sword and stood pausing for a moment and swung, cutting into the side of a marine by mistake. She had sensed danger and had struck out. Well, fuck this could be bad, but then she saw that it was a fake marine and no longer had mercy. She didn't like the marines, but she would not allow someone to belittle it but her. "You disgust me." She said blinking rapidly. "Dani! Four o' clock! Quick!" She shouted the warning.

Dani looked up after busting another merc between the eyes as Natsu shouted at her. "Four o'whatsit no-" *WHAM* she was cut off as a massive force struck her from the back and launched her into a nearby stall. Dizzily standing up, she tried to see what hit her, but nothing was there except for fog. And suddenly there was a large fist, smashing right into the side of her face, easily launching her forty feet into another stall. Groggily shaking her head, she tried to stand up, but only succeeded into making it to her hands and knees. Focusing her eyes, she saw another fist start to form in the fog... wait... not in... FROM the fog. 'A USER!' she thought, her eyes going wide, before narrowing into a kind of "aw, hell naw" look. "Yeah, no. Fuck this" she said, reaching behind her back into a small pouch of dust. She grabbed a handful and (grimacing a bit) threw it into the fog

"YYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGH!!!!!!* came a cry from the entire mass as it rapidly shrunk back down to a human male, curled into the fetal position, unable to move "Erhg. You bitch! What did you do to me!?" he shouted at Dani, or would have if he could move. As it were, he was more shouting in the opposite direction. Using her foot to flop him over, Dani just grinned "New invention. Powdered Artificial Seastone. More handy than I thought it would be. Lucky I had a sample on me, huh? Kind of a deus ex machina, ya ask me" she gloated. But before she could say any more, a massive grinding echoed throughout the camp, as the defensive walls came down. "What!? Who?!" Dani asked, looking down as she heard chuckling coming from the man under her foot "Did you think we didn't know about your wall? You couldn't recognize a distraction if it slapped you in the face. Too busy taking the brute force op-" He never spoke again as a hole appeared in his forehead. "Shit! This isn't good. I have to get the walls back up, or else. Luckily, the turrets are still active" she said to herself, heading in the direction of the defense control room... only to see it explode. "Oh... shit.... What else can go wro-" "FOUR SHIPS JUST FINISHED LANDING IN THE REMAINING DOCKS" came an announcement over the P.A. "Oh, COME ON!"...

“...zzzZZZZZzzz…” Sammy snored away on top of the lift, bored from the long wait. He soon stopped as it came to a screeching hault. He yawned groggily, stepped off the lifts roof and onto the wall. “alright, now where did we dock our ship?” Sammy looked from his left to his right, spotting a really cool looking crane thing, some guys destroying some of the spare ships, and another small fleet about to dock near his ship… wait… “OH SHIT!!!” Sammy sprinted along the wall towards his ship.

“Prepare to drop anchor!” a commanding officer shouted to the crews of the ships, there were two in total, but they weren’t marine ships. “Captain!”
“What is it?”
“There is a ship docked, but it’s not like the others. what should we do with it?”
“Destroy it like the rest.”
“Uh, c-captain?” another crew member asked.
“What now?”
“I think you should see this.” the crew member handed him a pair of binoculars. He looked through them at the wall, seeing a boy… running down it. “What is that child doing? doesn’t he know he’ll die when reaches the ground?!”
Sure enough, when the boy got to the ground there was a large *BOOM* and a cluod of dust that sprayed into the air. But soon after the boy flew out of that cloud like a bullet, running even faster than before. The enemy crew was awe struck, with exclamations of him being a monster or demon. “Calm down you blubbering imbeciles!!” the captain shouted. “he’s still only one boy!! There’s no way he can get to us from there!”
“C-c-captain!”
“WHAT?!...eh?”
The boy was now running across the water towards the ships. “EHHHH?!?! H-HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!? NO NORMAL HUMAN SHOULD BE THAT FAST!!”
When the boy got close enough, he leaped onto the deck of the ship, smiling as he landed.
“Hoo, i made it.”
The crew of the ship backed away in fear.
“Now then, hey you!” he pointed at the captain
“y-yes?”
“you’re in charge of these guys right?”
“yes, I-i am.”
“then you should probably tell them to turn around”
“...huh?”
“There are marines attacking the island, so it’s not really safe.”

Griff saw how the mist took shape into a man, he had only heard of the logia type before, this was his first time seeing one, but the experience was short lived, in a moment, Dani put a bullet in the mans head, Griff continued towards Danni who speed up towards the Wall

¨FOUR SHIPS JUST FINISHED LANDING IN THE REMAINING DOCKS¨

Griff noticed the walls were down again, seeing as how Dani was occupied already he decided to do what he knew he could do to help, he took the highest vantage point he could find, taking all the ammo he could gather along the way. 

Up a tower, he laid all the ammo in an organised fashion and readied his rifle, and aimed at the docking ships.

The Captain of the ship stood upon the side of the ship with his sword held high ¨GO AND WRECK HAVOC MEN, BURN AND PIL…¨¨ he was shot in the mouth, he immediately began to spit out fire as he jumped into the water, the men who jumped out of the ship were distracted for that moment just as another shot landed in the middle of them, letting out a bright flash blinding them, then a barrage of shots destroyed the weapons they were holding, and exploded a barrel of oil that a man was carrying, seriously slowing the disembarking of the ship.
From the ship beside it, a really creepy man slithered his way out of the boat and into the nearest building. ¨Judging from the angle and precession of the shots, were dealing with a sharpshooter, but the methods he uses are childish, I´ll take care of him, continue as planed¨ the man spoke to a den den sushi as he banished into the town, moving as quiet as a mouse.

¨thats one ship delayed, on to the next one ¨Griff counted his ammo as he aimed for another way to delay the other ship, he had a lot of live rounds but few trick shots, and fewer gadgets, he was bound to be found out but it would take time he thought taking aim at another ship

Natsu felt bad that Dani got hit, and thought to keep in mind that not everyone had her training. Four ships, full of possible fake Marines. Fun. She rotates her shoulders to get the stress out of her back, and began to walk forward. She had to contribute somehow, without hurting her fellow marine operatives. "First to find the ships. That will be fun." She says softly as she used the memory of walking through the island to try and 'see' where the ships were going forward. Course someone tried to stop her but the fight was over within minutes. She may not enjoy using her abilities and strength, but it was called for in this one situation. She hardly used her ice abilities, for she didn't think these people a real threat. Not yet anyway.

Now that the fog had cleared up, Dani got a good look at her surroundings. Her clan was doing a pretty damn good job at holding off the mercs and the new kids were easily holding their own. 'Huh. We might get out of this with minimal casualties' she thought, as she made her way towards the nearest gunners turret, dodging gunfire and returning her own as she went. It didn't take her long before she got to the control cabin and shut herself in, flipping the switch from auto to manual. Peering through the sight at the nearest enemy ship, she adjusted slightly and took aim... riiiiiiight for their ammo storage, or at least where she assumed it would be. Luckily, she was correct, and the ship detonated, taking out everyone on board and a good chunk of the docks, too. "Oh, well. Easy enough to rebuild. Anyways, one down, four to go" she said, switching the turret back to auto and making her way back out into the fray, taking out a few fools distracted by the explosion.

One by one, Griff took out marines, but they seemed endless ¨I´m gonna have to go ammo hunting in a bit, my stocks really low he thought looking at the few munitions on his feet.
Meanwhile behind him crept the snakelike marine. Slowly moving one foot in front of the other making sure not to make a sound, Griff continued to carefully aim and shoot. then finally, he was finally in range of the kill, raising his knife like a scorpion he readied to stab straight for Griffs neck. ¨You had some talents kid, but this is as far as your story goes¨ the man thought as he thrusted down.
CRACK
the Floor cave in as the tower plummeted, finally, a lucky break for Griff, who was caught of guard too.
In the floor below, after a few seconds, Griff regained consciousness, looking around he found his Rifle, a 5 trick shots, 4 normal munitions. The wheels on his shoes broke off and he was heavily wounded, on first inspection a broken arm and a concussion with lots of internal pain, the snakelike marine was across the room but, in the blink of an eye he disappeared. ¨I have to move quickly griff thought, quickly limping out of the wreckage, and into another house. There he took cover and began loading a trick shot with his good right arm, then he swiftly made a makeshift cast with wood and drags for his arm. ¨My, my ¨ came the sound from all around Griff ¨Looks like this little bird has some luck, but it has just run out! ¨ Griff rolled to the side as the man broke through the wall towards him only to disappear into the darkness of the room again, ¨Not good, I gotta get ut of here¨ Griff thought as he ran as fast as he could towards the door. ¨You won´t leave my cobra nest that easy youngling¨ the man said as he leapt from the darkness in front of Griff, knife at the ready aiming for his neck, he stabbed, Griff quickly evaded back falling to the floor, the man was relentless, striking again and again, Griff taking flesh cuts while evading left to right while backing away until he hit the wall. ¨Game over¨ the man said as he stood on top of Griff, kicking away the rifle and stepping on his broken arm. ¨GAAAAAA¨ Griff screamed as the man just laughed. ¨JAJAJAJAJA, cry all you wan´t, no one will save you¨
Griff just smirked in pain ¨No one will save your ether¨ snapping his shoes together he activated the emergency flew option on his wind dials, letting out a burst of compressed air that pushed his foot up into the man, sending him through the wall and Griff flipping in place and dislocating his shoulder. Having no time to pass out he manually readjusted his shoulder back in place and limped out of the house and into the open, dropping a few bullets as he limped into a sort of small plaza, where he just collapsed next to a pole, getting back into a sitting position he took out his gun, and using his knee for support, aiming at a single spot, closing his eyes Waiting for the snake mans move.

For a while the crew of the ship just stood around, dumbfounded by the kid staring blankly back at them.

"So... are you guys gonna turn this ship around or not?" Sammy asked while picking his nose.
one of the deck hands walked up to the captain, "Orders, captain?" The captain just glared at Sammy, gritting his teeth. This has to be some kind of joke. No man should ever be able to move that fast... Just then the captain got an idea. "Oi, kid!" he called out through his smirk. "that was pretty impressive, the way you ran across the water to get to our ship." he said walking up to Sammy.

"eh, nothin to special," Sammy said plainly, "I'm just really fast."

"So I've noticed," the captain was behind him at this point, "but i have a question for you..."

"Hmm?"

"Can ya dodge bullets?"

*BANG*

Sammy ducked under the bullet, made a sweeping kick at the captains feet, and as he hit the ground, planted his foot on his chest. Sammy knelt down with his own grin and said, "Yes, yes i can."
