Whoo! Finally mustered up the courage to get this thread up! I blame...you, Arclite ;P
Edit: Added small descriptions about characters, cities and towns to help us keep track of things =) I know I said I would edit it sooner, but never got around to it. That was 9 months ago... >.<; So sorry!
Kalandor
A town that though has changed throughout the decades, still retains its name in tribute to the first king to rule their kindgom, Kaland. Due to the size of the town, news tends to spread fast. However, it cannot be said that everyone knows each other. As travellers pass through this town, so do stories. Technology is present here but not as prominent as in the larger cities such as Desdemona or Galtea Arborus. What does set this town apart, however, is that its occupants, skilled in crafting weapons and armour, carefully choose who they supply their goods to, having the right to deny even cities as large as Desdemona due to being under the protection of Galtea Arborus.
Desdemona
Proud city and home to a branch of Druthers&Druthers. This huge city, recently the host to an important and once in a lifetime auction, stands as one of the most advanced cities with developers and big names calling this their home. A few interesting things unique to this city are found here and are quite rare in other parts. The number one brand of technology, that has and always been one of the many competing large names here is Razor, a name not only a high advancement in transport, but also in representation of the city. Desdemona can be reached in number of ways, be it by land, sea or even sky, making it the number one destination for all travellers no matter their preferred method of travel.
Gore:
Dragon of Legend which history has recorded to have ‘suddenly disappeared’ during one of the great wars between Humans and Dragons. Due to the blood that has stained his name, he has since been dubbed the ‘Blood Dragon’, a creature to be feared. However, could this all have been some misunderstanding, that humankind are instead the monsters? History was, after all, written by the victor.
Rosalie:
A girl whose main objective is to find the man who as been like a father to her. Adventurous by nature, she has grown used to wandering about on her own, returning to Sigmund and Eric whenever she needs support and perhaps guidance. Other than that, Rosalie is more than capable of keeping an eye out for danger, but whether or not she chooses to avoid such situations, however, depends solely on what she is trying to achieve at the time.
Setton:
Rosalie’s adoptive father who has been looking after the girl as if she were his own. Not known to have many relationships outside of this, he is a strategist who keeps his friends close and his enemies closer. Before separating with the child, he had given his dear Rose a pocket watch, a pendant and a knife that once belonged to her mother. In the case that she need to draw on it, he had also given her a small portion of his winnings earned from coordinating successful attacks against enemies, knowing full well that she would spend it wisely. However, spending it wisely, in his opinion, is staying away from everything that is made of steel and moves through the sky quickly. Due to the same circumstances that have forced him into hiding, he has thought to invest in something that would prove to be a most powerful asset to have and to gain that one thing, he has enlisted the help of Marian, Aisen and Delna.
Glenn:
One of Setton’s men, he was the most trusted and may have known where Setton was currently residing. Quite proud and boastful, there seems to be no such word as ‘reckless’, in his vocabulary. He believes that everything that happens, happens for a reason and for that, recklessness was just an action that was ‘necessary’ on his part. Rosalie vaguely remembers his face when he and a group of hunters had entered Kalandor, his distinct facial features being the reason she had followed him, wanting to get answers to her father’s whereabouts. Unfortunately, he met his end at the claws of the very beast he had been after.
Marian: A woman who seems to know a thing or two about the people she claims to be her targets. There seems to be a relationship between her and Setton, but where their relationship stands remains unclear, still. What can be said about her is that she has a very specific goal and she is more than willing to help for a small fee.
Aisen & Delna:
Aisen is a man who works for a group that has been preserving the ancient arts. His relationship with Delna falls back six years, becoming some sort of guardian to Delna, a young woman he had taken under his wing when all else was crumbling around her. He was, per say, her saviour. Throughout these years, he has developed a bond with her due to realising that working alongside someone was much better than taking care of things himself.
Rorshe:
‘Man of The Order’, is best used to describe him. If given the chance, he would not hesitate to bring Gore down. He had been charged with keeping the Blood Dragon in check.
Eric:
One of the blacksmith’s sons in Kalandor, he is a young man whose stern nature contradicts his otherwise young age and appearance. Known for being serious when his brother isn’t, it does not mean that he is incapable of sharing a joke every now and then. Quite close with older brother Sigmund, he would do anything to keep the other safe and to do that, he believes he must take on the role of responsibility in place of his brother. He and his brother have been studying the old tales told of the Blood Dragon, sometimes being given extra extracts by Sigmund to read, but even then, the two still do not know much of Gore.
Sigmund:
He has a good head on his shoulders and excels in searching for information not well known to many. His enthusiasm for what he does is easily evident unlike that of his brother, but he knows when a situation has turned sour enough that his antics would be inappropriate. Sigmund isn’t too fond of his nickname, ‘siggy,’ and often becomes miffed when called by that name. It was one Eric had called him when they were younger and Rosalie happened to have overheard that name. Safe to say, much to his displeasure, it has stuck since then. He doesn’t like violence, though, and would often try to settle arguments before they escalate too quickly, leaving things to Eric who can handle such matters better than he ever could should things get out of hand.
