Long story short the Mortean Empire in its 1200 years of past only fought a civil war once.
And it was orchestrated by psychic aliens who used "friendly" messages to mind control a considerable part of the military then nearly take over their new frontier planet.
This was called the First Ixian War.
Later there was a Second Ixian War but that one ended up with the Morteans sterilizing the home planet of the Ix.
"Best psychic is the dead psychic", they said.
The idea of benevolent, privacy-respecting and nice telepaths is almost completely alien to them.

They're nice telepaths, they're privacy-respecting, they can be nice, but the Sakari are by no means benevolent. *Points to planets destroyed in the first two posts and ships destroyed in the post about two weeks ago*

Morteans generally lack empathy, too.
They prefer peace and diplomatic solutions but they're ruthless in combat.
To them death has no meaning aside from it maybe negatively effecting the civilization's economy and well-being.
Losing a hundred men is nothing.
Losing a million men is a strategic issue and needs the government to discuss their gradual replacement.

Their most likely reaction when another civilization asks them for their war crimes:
"You razed an entire planet! Killed 4 billion of unarmed helpless citizen in one night!"
"Yes, we did. How much economical compensation you require? According to our intelligence reports, your yearly tax rate, loss of resource production, not to mention the rehabitation expenses would cost..."

it would seem that my race, the Pantheo, are quite similar, just benevolent, very much so. Granted, this benevolence is only shown to fellow believers, but they don't go about destroying planets. YET?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Suppose only because they can't.
Stuck to their own four star system can do that.

They have fought countless other races, granted, never really pushed them back to their worlds due to the limits of sub-FTL, I guess.

Durandal, I will reply to your post when all people who were supposed to interact with me have posted.

I understand that, however in game scale I need to keep it low for now or we will see massive power inflation.

My peoples variant would just be "If they didn't want to die, they should have listened to instructions better; Think of it as a learning experience." >:D

The Abh reaction:

"What are civilians? Are they like cowards? Then haven't we done both you and them a great service? I don't understand why you're so angry. Please calm down."

And you wonder why players recently prefered the Ro'Mani over your Abh Empire.

Also on a note, I keep on forgetting to mention this but all players in the RP have the ability to create minor civilizations.

A few rules
1.They cant be hugely advanced(unless something was worked out with me beforehand)
2.They cant be hugely big(They wouldn't be minor then, although if you have a idea for a major NPC civ PM me about it and I will probably approve it depending on what you want to do with it)

@duck55223Well, that's a relief.
Because I thought of something like interstellar Zeon Empire.
Say, they're part of the ancient human "colonists" like the Ro'Mani but they went somewhere else and developed their technology differently.
Something-something about them being space-nomads living in large colony ships and using something similar to Mobile Suits in combat.

If your referring to the colonists that created the New Roman Empire and the ones dominated by the Collective there were ever only those two colony ships, although I guess we can throw in a third.

Always have a third plan, they say.
Alright, to avoid clutter I'm posting that profile to you in PM
