Name: Ovserd Oduun

Age: 38

Sex: Female

Race: Dwarven

Class: Rogue/Artificer

Title: Casteless

Magical Abilities: n/a

Personality: Crood. She has a very abrasive personality. Manners are lacking, but she can tell some mean jokes.

History:
Ovserd grew up casteless in Dust town in Orzammar. She survived by taking care of her mother. Her mother reminding her constantly that she was a disappointment for not bearing a son. So she ran away and joined up with Jarvia's crew. Where she met an interesting dwarf named Tinker. Tinker was in charge of booby-trapping the hideout and took Ovserd in as his apprentice. Soon, the back-alleys and all of the compounds were properly set.

Jarvia called in Ovserd and sent her on a mission. She was sent to the surface. Apparently in the country of Orlais was a man who would train her to build and make more improved traps than she had at the complex currently. The apprenticeship would last years she knew, but Ovserd accepted the mission willingly knowing it would elevate her status in the carta. Unfortunately as she was nearing the end of her apprenticeship news reached her about the demise of Jarvia and that the carta was scattered. Not having anywhere else to go, Ovserd joined in the fight against the darkspawn. She began setting ambushes for the empress's army.

Appearance:

Other: Ovserd is scared of nugs. She dual wields axes.

I am sorry to say that your character is denied. Based on these skills, it seems you would most likely find him in Skyrim.

Reasons for denial: First of all, no one can imbue anything with elements unless it is in the form of a rune. There are sustainable spells that allow you to bestow elemental damage on allies' weapons, however they are mage only.

Second, only mages can cast spells at all. If you have magic abilities, it is more than likely your parents would have sent you to one of the Circles turned school(actual school not a prison). With a specific specialization, you could become a mage and a warrior.

Third, if you are going to be a mage or a warrior.. or even a rogue, you probably won't have time to learn how to use a forge let alone make your own armor.

Also, there is no 'knight' class.
If you revise your character, I would be more than happy to accept you.

Sorry 'bout that. I kinda was thinking Skyrim-like anyways. Can you tell me about the classes? I'll change it when I get to my laptop.

I'll probably make him a normal knight then. You know with just a normal sword.

Since it is a lot to go over, I would prefer if you read about them yourself. Also, if you haven't played the game itself, I would recommend reading up on some of the lore.. or play the game if you can.

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Classes_and_specializations_(Origins)
This page can take you to all class and specializtions in the three games.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a private message.

Name: Alexander Atreides

Age: 44

Sex: Male

Race: Human

Class: Mage

Title: Taskmage

Magical Abilities: Having spent his entire life training and fighting with magic, Atreides has settled into using two very specific schools of magic.

Entropy: From clouding and confusing the minds of enemies, to sapping the very strength from targeted enemies and all around him, to even bringing down swirling vortex's of enthropic magic to leave groups of enemies disabled and vulnerable, Atreides has long experience and training with Entropic magic, having turned an art based out of the most chaotic portion of the Fade, into something not only reliable, but rather potent in the face of enemies that are resilient to more direct methods of assault.

Force: Sometimes subtly and disabling enemies just doesn't cut it, or his allies are in no position to take advantage of the gaps that he has created in the enemies. In these cases, Atreides turns to a school of magic that utilizes a brutally simple property. Gravity. Amplifying the force of gravity in an area to the point of being like the Fist of the Maker, scattering and forcing foes together, and even, with great focus, redirect the gravity in an area to force enemies to a snails pace, leaving them open to further harassment or a mighty crushing blow delivered courtesy of gravity.

Personality: Alexander Atreides, the Taskmage, values cunning and creativity first and foremost. While intelligent and rather well grounded for a mage, the man believes that all the knowledge in the world is useless without being able to come up with inventive and practical ways of applying such things. The man has some serious authority issues, not taking well to anyone he doesn't respect, let alone someone he has the energy and dedication to hate, trying to tell him what to do. He has been known to abuse his magical gifts to exact revenge on those he does not approve of, to the point of borderline sedition and treason. Only borderline, though. Beyond his mile wide vengeance streak and the stubbornness to carry it out, Alex is fairly approacheable, albeit he will be rather plain in his speaking which might come across as rude or insulting. But he is just honest in his opinion, and if he doesn't like someone, they WILL know it.

History: Alex was borne to a pair of Apostates, one arcane, the other religious. His father had never been handed over to the Circles of his time and refused to bow to them, and his mother had been driven out after her rather choice words and repeated stand offs aimed at the village Chantry. Being a boy on the run taught the lad right quick that all the magic in the world can't replace good old fashioned cunning and ingenuity. Since he didn't have the formal training of a mage guild, he never broadly branched across various schools before settling on one. Instead, his father focused on, at a young age, teaching the boy Entropy magic, for reason that by itself, the school of magic was not the most lethal of branches, more focused on general disabling and nullification of potential threats. Growing up with his parents he saw the world, and many of its glories, secrets, and horrors in between the dull and dreary places they had to stop at on occasion.

Once he was old enough, Alexander bid farewell to both his parents and went his own way to walk the world, alone. From the seat of empires most grand to the dingiest and dirtiest pub in some run down border town, Atreides has seen many, many places in the world as he walked and continued to openly practice his magic. He made a name for himself taking various jobs and sorting them out, often times bloodless, and in many places the title of Taskmage was known to the town, due to the intervention and aid from Atreides. When the war started, Atreides was in one of the first cities hit by the Tevinter and their daemons. He had been studying Force magic, a Kirkwall favorite, alongside his advancing and inventive work in Entropy, at the time and found himself blasting away daemons with sheer waves of force while obscuring and dampening the strength of enemy forces. The city fell, in due time, and Atreides the Taskmage has been fighting in the war ever since, by virtue of having nowhere else to run to, and if the Tevinter took over, he was not fooled by the idea of mages ruling. Their mages would rule, not the others he worked alongside and himself. Survival drove the man to stand against the Tevinter and their daemons, and he still stands now when the call went out for a new force to be assembled.

Appearance:

Other: Alexander's staff is an heirloom, according to his father, and seems to grow with the man in power and experience rather than get left behind in power.

@Polaris North I'm sorry, but your lack of experience with the setting, and the fact that you don't seem to want to study up on it will make this RP very hard for you to be in. You don't seem to take learning about the setting very seriously. So I'm going to deny you again, for the final time. I hope you find other RPs that you will fit in with, this one just isn't for you.

Name: Heather Lockart

Age: 27

Sex: Female

Race: Human

Class: Warrior (Templar)

Title: Knight-Lieutenant

Magical Abilities: Via the use of lyruim, she possesses the abilities of a Templar, skilled in the ways of fighting magic and demons.

Personality: Heather is a little shy, however once you get through her shell you'll never get her to shut up. She is kind, polite, and talkative once she gets to know you. She is very protective of her friends and comrades. Heather does not particularly hate mages, however she knows the danger all too well. She wishes to protect them as well as the innocents they might hurt.

She is a little insecure about her body, though, she really needn't be. Heather is in great shape and quite lovely.

History: Heather lived peacefully on the outskirts of Redcliffe with her family most of her young life. Her father, Robert, was a skilled warrior, her mother, Cynthia, an apostate mage in hiding. She lacked the ability to become a mage and thus learned the sword and shield from her father to help fend of bandits from their quiet little home.

At the age of 15, their peace was very disturbed when her mother became possessed by a demon. Robert told Heather to hide and fought as best he could, but was eventually slain by the demon. Heather, now angered by her father's murder, leapt into action without thinking about it much, and slew the demon, as well as her own mother, in a rage.

She fled the scene after realizing what she had done, and ran sobbing to Redcliffe, where she recovered and made her own home there. Determined to never allow what had happened to happen to anyone else, Heather left to join the Templar Order and steadily rose through the ranks. Her most recent promotion being Knight-Lieutenant.

This, of course, came with an addiction to lyruim. If she could protect others from the awful abilties of demons and mages, Heather gladly took it. She hated the taste, though.

Appearance:

Other: Heather loves cute things and animals.

We aren't even in the Hinterlands.
As for a magic archer rogue, I have to say no. We are sticking to the lore that has been given to us. Warriors and rogues have talents while mages get spells. If a specialization gets you what you want, go for it.

@Ezmeralda@Shurikai As GM I can handle things, but thank you for trying to help.

@AiyvaGuard Regardless of non GM status for the others Shurikai is right. I am allowing all classes from all the games and what their skills/magic entail, but there will not be any mixing classes. This is to keep things a bit simpler and easier to handle.

lol I wasn't trying to take over anything. I just thought maybe what he/she had in mind could actually be one of the rogue specs. Or similar enough to it that they could just use it instead of trying to break lore.

After all the games did have people like Fenris, who had some pretty un-warriorlike abilities.

Name: Gwenaelle Lecuyer

Age: 31

Sex: Female

Race: Human

Class: Sword and Shield Warrior/Templar

Title: Chevalier

Magical Abilities: Not so much as magic as negating magic that all Templars are capable of doing. Regardless of her no longer being a templar she is still capable of performing such acts.

Personality: Two things become apparent when first talking to Gwenaelle Lecuyer. First, her loyalty to the defense of Orlais is unmatched by most, and this loyalty can extend to those that she cares about, feeling more strongly with each emotion when it comes to the things she truly cares about in life. While being raised by the Chantry would obviously make one of a religious bent, it is not the blind fanaticism that many would want to see within the ranks of the Chantry. Rather, her religious beliefs bolster her without leaving her a raving zealot. When it comes to making a difference, she will gladly spill her life blood to do so, without a second thought in the matter.

History: Born to one of the noble families of Orlais, one would think that the newest daughter of the Lecuyer family would have been rather well off. One would be mistaken, although appearances were deceiving. The Lecuyer family had fallen upon hard times, although for the sake of the Game, they maintained the illusion of grandeur, wealth, and affluence in the world of politics amongst the other noble families of Orlais. Since the Lecuyer family could ill afford raising another in the same manner they had other children that had come before Gwenaelle, they instead chose to send her away in secret, off to a Chantry to become a Lay Sister, which both would save face if discovered, and keep her out of their interests and problems otherwise.

Raised among the Chantry and fellow Lay Sisters, Gwenaelle grew into a far different young woman than if she would have remained with her barely afloat noble family back in Orlais. In due time, she came of age and was able to return to visit the family she had been sent away from. She did not remain with them for very long, seeing nothing of interest to the woman before she turned away and went back to the Chantry. But she chose a path different to quite a few members of the Chantry, and joined with the Order of the Templar to hunt apostate mages, keep Circle Mages in line, and enforce the rule of the Chantry overall.

While her training and tenure with the Templar remained uneventful for a time, that quickly changed with the war between Templar and Mage sparking into full blown, often times open conflict in the streets of cities and countrysides across the land. Many templar turned to the most extreme methods of handling the mage rebels, executing them outright by Right of Annulment, or otherwise taking rebels and enacting the Rite of Tranquility to eliminate any possible threat they posed. Gwenaelle often took prisoners, but not for the reason of making them Tranquil or executing them, instead treating them with some sense of sanity and decency, even if they had to be interrogated for information. This brought her to the attention of the Seekers, who upon offering the female Templar a place amongst their ranks, she was quick to take up the offer to such a position, honored to be even asked to join, let alone accepted.

Departing with the Seekers from the templar order she had learned to fight in, Gwenaelle found herself in the company of Lord Lucius as they left on a mission that, in her gut, did not sit well with the seeker. So she went on a quiet, secret mission and concluded that she could no longer follow the Templar and Seekers into the battle, not in good conscious and really believe in the work she was doing anymore. Departing from both groups, she returned to Orlais and swore her sword and shield to the service of the current Empress, alongside the Inquisition, to stand against Corypheus and its amassed forces.

Eventually, like any conflict, the war was ended. Gwenaelle would take great enjoyment in the peace that came of the post conflict nations afterwards, remaining sworn and ready to aid the army of Orlais whenever they might call, spending time hunting down remnant forces while taking the time to relax and unwind from the warfare. When the attack on their western front came, however, she was already on the frontlines, fighting tooth and nail against the invaders. When the time came for Cullen to begin recruiting, she was a quick and easy pick for her years of experience and abilities to nullify the magic of the Magisters that faced them.

Name: Atharen

Age: 22

Sex: Female

Race: Dalish

Clan: Lavellan

Class: Mage: Spirit Healer

Title: First to the Keeper(of Lavellan)

Magical Abilities:
Primal: Chain lightning, tempest
Storm: Energy barrage, Lightning bolt

Creation: heal, rejuvenate, regeneration, heroic aura, heroic offense, heroic defense

Spirit Healer: group heal, Life ward, cleansing aura

Personality: Atharen is a kindly soul. She will go out of her way to help not only her clans men but humans if she happens upon one that is injured. Her helpful and nurturing nature extends to wild animals as well. Atharen's willingness to help is only matched by her desire to learn about her people. She reads the books she can get her hands on and investigates any ruins her clan happens to pass by in the hope of meeting one of the sentinels the Inquisitor met in the Temple of Mythal.

History: Atharen was born in the shadow of Sundermount, just outside Kirkwall. She had the fortune of being born to the Dalish clan Lavellen as her birth came after one of the apprentices to the Keeper being mauled to death by a bear. Her magical talent emerged at an earlier age than most and many feared she would be unwittingly possessed by a demon. What her clans men didn't know, was that she was being watched over while she slept.
While in the Beyond- or the Fade, as the humans called it- a spirit taught Atharen how to heal. All while her Keeper was telling her all spirits were dangerous.
As she grew older, her Keeper officially named Atharen her second apprentice. At first, she and the First got along very well. Though, when she revealed she walked the Beyond with a spirit of compassion, the First turned from her.
Withdrawn from her clans men, Atharen became closer to her natural surroundings. From the benevolent spirits she met, she learned about the Beyond and her own world. She never sought material gain, only knowledge.
As the years wore on, the Keeper took notice of Atharen's uncanny ability to heal with magic. While she suspected spirits, the Keeper simply told the clan she was more powerful. The First to the Keeper became jealous of the attention Atharen was getting and decided to prove once and for all that he was superior. He asked her to meet him outside of camp.
When she entered the clearing, there was a halla in front of him, bleeding to death. He played innocent, told her the shems had done it. This halla, however, was one that pulled their aravels. How would a shem get close enough to their camp to injure it without being heard? He said he had found it a ways off and carried it thus far. Atharen could hear a faint whisper through the veil. It told her he was lying, but she already knew that. The halla recognized her as she approached and called out in pain, pleading for her to end its suffering. He said he was going to heal it with magic the Keeper taught him. Too late, the poor beast had lost too much blood. He couldn't save it. She pushed him away and summoned the power within her, the skills the spirit taught her.
The hallas body knit together quickly. It was on its feet faster than a lightning strike. She glared at him. He knew she knew. Soon the Keeper would too. If not from Atharen, then the halla keeper as the halla would speak to its caretaker. He fled into the night never returning. The next morning, Atharen was named First to the Keeper.

When the war broke out between Tevinter and Orlais, Cullen sent out missives to all known Dalish clans, asking for assistance. Atharen was the first to volunteer and found herself in Orlais shortly after with a small group of hunters.

Name: Valana Sabrae
Age: 32
Sex: Female
Race: Elf
Class: Mage/Knight-Enchanter
Title: Warden-Lieutenant

Appearance:

Magical Abilities:
Spirit Blade - She creates a blade of solid magic to make melee attacks against enemies. Effective against magical barriers. With Defending Blade she is able to deflect projectiles such as arrows.
Fade Cloak - She surrounds herself with magic of the Veil itself becoming briefly invulnerable and able to pass through her enemies.
Fade Shield - She creates a Barrier that is strengthened during combat. While unable to completely stop attacks, it acts in much the same way as a Warrior's armor.
Energy Barrage - She unleashes a salvo of elemental attacks from her staff that home in on a single target.
Flashfire - She fires a ball of fire at an enemy that ignites them, causing searing pain and possibly sending them fleeing in terror.

Personality: Valana is typically a grim young woman. She may have once been quite a good humored and friendly girl in the past, and she even shows signs of this side to her on occasion, however the events of recent years have caused her to lose much of her previous mirth.

History: Valana was born to the Sabrae Dalish Clan however due to the custom of only allowing three mages in any one clan, Valana was forced to leave the clan when she was barely more than ten years of age, before even receiving her Vallaslin. She would have died in the wilderness of the Hinterlands had she not been found and taken in by a human family of farmers living near Lothering. The family was surprisingly friendly to her despite her Elven heritage and as a result Valana found herself wanting to do anything she could help them. However the moment started their hearth fire with a simple wave of her hand, an innocent attempt to help out, the family's friendly attitude was lost. Valana quickly found herself locked in a cold, damp basement, where she remained for the night, until the Templars arrived in the morning to take her away.

Valana's life in the circle of Magi was an uneventful one. There was no room for Valana in the Ferelden Circle, so she was sent to study magic in Orlais. As a fresh new mage-apprentice Valana found herself fascinated by the glamorous and powerful Knight-Enchanters. She would take any chance she could to talk to the mage warriors or watch them practicing their craft. Her attention did not go unnoticed and, little did she know, the First Enchanter was arranging for her to be groomed towards becoming a Knight-Enchanter herself.

Valana was not destined to continue her life in the Circle of Magi, however, as the Orlesian Commander of the Grey made a call on the Circle, looking for recruits. Valana was one of the few chosen to join the Grey Wardens and, despite her trepidation, she found herself conscripted. Even during her time in the Wardens, Valana never stopped her studies into the Arts of the Knight-Enchanter and before long, she had constructed a Spirit Blade Hilt of her own. She had become a Knight-Enchanter in all but name. She progressed through the ranks of the Wardens becoming a Senior Warden with a small command of her own.

And then Corypheus used the Calling to manipulate the Orlesian Wardens and, Valana was called to Adamant Fortress by Warden-Commander Clarel and informed that she would be expected to use Blood Magic to summon and bind a Demon. Valana had her misgivings, but she would not disobey her Commander. She was never called to perform the Blood Ritual, however, as the Inquisition attacked Adamant before it came to that. In the battle for Adamant Valana fought and killed almost a dozen of the Inquisition's soldiers before the ceasefire was called and the Wardens of Orlais were conscripted by the Inquisitor.

Valana was present at the Fall of Skyhold and fought valiantly alongside Commander Cullen's forces before finally being forced to flee with him. When Cullen was made Commander of the Orlesian/Ferelden Allied Forces, she remained under his command and was ultimately chosen to join his new Order of Silence in the war against Tevinter.
