Welcome to Crypso, an empty world waiting to be fleshed out by a small group of writers. My intent here is to gauge interest among the community for a low fantasy game where the lore, races and cultures are created by the players. The overall premise is a medieval low fantasy world where 3-5 kingdoms manoeuvre for dominance. The political structure, races, and culture of these kingdoms are determined by the respective player.
Featuring ~ Weekly updates ~ Light stat system that ensures no two players are exactly the same. ~ Player free to establish lore, races, cultures, and terrain within their borders ~ Ruler trait that caters to your play style, whether it be through war, plots, diplomacy or economy ~ A World crafted by the input of the players.
Sign ups If you are interested, feel free to fill out a sign up sheet here, which can then be copied and pasted to the game thread once it is ready.
Nation Sheet
Nation: (include the colour of the nation from the political map above, as well as the name.)
Government: (such as a republic, absolute monarchy, feudal monarchy, or something of your own creation.)
Ruler:
Trait:
Prominent Terrain: (terrain will effect your stats, mountainous kingdoms will have high income, but low population. Forest kingdoms will have a good balance while grasslands or river valleys will have high population but low income. Desert or badlands will suffer income and population and be a true challenge. Your desired terrain not mentioned? State it in your sign up and I'll work out the effect.)
Secondary Terrain: (Offering some variety in your demesne and a slight bonus to your stats.)
Prominent Race: (You may include a perk to either combat, economy or diplomacy along with a penalty. You may also stay neutral and receive neither a perk or penalty. ie a race of seafaring humans may excel at trade, but neglect their armed forces.)
Supply: (The max population your kingdom is able to support. This figure will be filled out by me.)
Levy: (2% of your supply - to be filled out by me.)
Income:
Expenses
Treasury (the balance of your income-expenses is stored here, to be used for hiring mercenaries, building projects and sustaining armies in the field.)
Bios: (Biographies of your respective nation and important characters.)
I shall explain more as I gather interest. Feel free to ask questions.
I haven't been around often enough, but I've been craving a NRP for a while and this site is the best supplier I've found. I've done quite a few NRPs on the Old Guild and other sites, but I still might be a little rusty, haha.
I believe we have enough to get started, I'll start up the game thread tonight.
As far as mechanics go, players will post orders in the thread in hiders at the bottom of their IC's. Orders will fall under the categories; war, diplomacy, administration, with plot orders being pm'd to me. Each week I will write an update stating the results of each player's orders and move in-game time ahead by one season.
I'll post a link here once the game thread is up, but remember, this game will have a max of 5 players, so post your sign ups fast.
Also, there will be some things added to the nation sheet, such as navy and banners, banners being your NPC minions whose loyalty may be swayed by the diplomatic actions of other players.

Hey man, I really REALLY appreciate your feedback. Your compliment made my day, but I don't think I can continue with this NRP if it is going to be so twisty (though pretty straight forward), it'll spread me too far between other NRPs. I'm sorry guy, next time!

Hey, no problem. I'd love to have your writing chops aboard but I get it. No point in getting yourself over Committed.
