Gripping the mirror tighter, Jade rounded the corner with Okori with curious eyes. "Wait, don't!" She called out too late, watching as the human-dragon hybrid grabbed hold of the fox. Stepping around the man warily, Jade inched as close as she dared, studying every inch of his body. "Half-human or not, you are still quite impressive... And your wings!" Jade's eyes sparkled, reaching her hand out gently to touch the fabric covering them. Suddenly realizing that she was gushing over a stranger, Jade coughed and stood upright. "I'm Jade, and this here is my new friend Okori. You're saying you don't know why you're here?" Raising an eyebrow at the creature, she continued with an explanation she hoped would suffice. "Think of this as being a game, a murder mystery... Sorry to say our dinner was interrupted by a blackout and a gunshot. Two others are currently investigating upstairs..." She paused, looking him over once again. "Which if you are interested in looking at, you will not be going without me. I do not take kindly to dragons eating my friends." Jade's face was calm, almost kind but her eyes swirled fiercely, screaming that she meant business.

"Light yours as well. We mihhteed the light." Zack encouraged her. "Stay close I don't want us to get even more separated." He held his candle out to her so tst she could us it to light her candle.

Mocha nodded, fishing around in her pocket for her own candle once she had the boy's lit and the matchbox put away. As soon as her candle was properly lit as well, she turned back toward the other end of the hallway and started for the door. "Alright...might as well continue, I guess..." A bit tentatively, she turned the handle, not sure what to expect on the other side.

Okori began to laugh as he was grabbed up in the air. 'Man I was right, this will be fun....Another joins this Corpse Party....' Okori waved his hand back and forth at the Half Dragon. "No problem, now if you attack again like that, I won't hesitate to counterattack... Now Jade, why don't we go back to meet the others, I'm alright for now, I've blocked that memory so the blood will not affect me again, we should take him with us." Okori said.

Jack felt his wings being touched by a total stranger. He shivered and glanced at the girl. "Gunshot? Well if we are all to be murdered, why not at least treat us with a better meal than tomato soup before we die?" He complained. He nodded at Okori "Well if they are upstairs where should we check out?" He asked readjusting his wings inside his shirt. He could smell the others, lighting candles like this was Hanukkah.

Jade's face fell at the dragon's response, resisting the urge to slap her face with the palm of her hand. "As far as I am aware, our lives were not mean to be put into danger. It's all make-believe." She smiled warmly, but a cold pit hung in her gut. I thought this was just some game, like the humans are fond of, but then why did Okori smell blood? Jade took the lead towards the stairs, her footsteps unnaturally quiet on the old staircase. "We've left them alone for quite a while now, maybe they've found something." She thought out loud, her senses kicked into overdrive in her concern.

Okori nodded. He walked up to Jade. "You can keep that mirror, It's useless for me anyways, I already know what I am, but I have a feeling you can change that." Okori said as he began to walk up the stairs to the second floor. Once he arrived he smelled the blood but contained himself, there was also another Faint smell. 'Zach, that way.' He signaled the rest towards a small library. There Zach's smell began to grow stronger. "They are here."

Zack could see the room beyond. It was a pool. The water shimmered in the moonlight. Sky lights he thought. He couldn't beyond the water. It was echoy in him. He felt alone the walk for a switch. "I'm going to try to turn on the light. All I smell now is the pool."

Jack smirked and followed Jade up. He smelled the others, and they smelled bad. "So what kind of name is Jack? Sounds like a guy's name." He said

Mocha nodded. "Alright. Just be careful." Turning toward the poo herself, the rabbit-eared girl wrinkled her nose a bit; even she could smell the pool water pretty strongly. What was with that stuff that people kept putting in them? She understood that it was supposed to keep it clean, but still...

At least the moonlight made it look pretty.

While Zack started searching for a way to turn on the lights, Mocha started walking a ways around the side of the pool, moving her candle to see different parts of the area as best as possible with the little bit of light. She stopped for a second and backed up when she noticed a puddle that she had stepped in. "Ah...did some of the pool water splash up here? Was someone in here recently?" Bending down a bit, she moved her candle in an attempt to get a closer look at the fluid.

Zack nodded. He didn't think that here was anyone here but them but after the gunshot they couldn't be too careful. He kept one eye on her as searched the wall for the light switch. Eventually he found it. He had had to cross half the room before he found it. Of course that might be because they had come into the room through a secret entrance rather than the door. "I found the switch. You might want to cover your eyes it will be blinding at first."

"Ah, alright." Mocha hadn't yet gotten a good look at the puddle on the floor, but she decided that it would probably be easier to see once the light was on, anyway. Lifting one hand to her face, she blew the candle out quickly before covering her eyes. No point in wasting any of the candle, after all. "Go ahead and turn it on."

"Are you sure?" Jade's smile broadened, glancing down at the mirror with curiosity. "Thank you so much, I'll be sure to treat it with great care." Once she had reached the top of the stairs, Jade stepped off to the side and took a deep breath. Eyes closed in concentration, Jade willed her wings into existence, the tattoo lifting from her skin to hang in the air like a mirage. Having no need for her wings to be at full capacity, Jade left them half-phased, placing the mirror into the swirling mirage gently before pulling commanding them back into their tattoo form. Mirror sealed away safely, Jade began moving again, following Okori's lead toward their other partners.

"Remember Jack, no snacking on the friendlies." She warned, not expecting much trouble from the half-breed, but prepared to deal with any regardless.

Jack eyes widened to see wings appear off of Jade's back. Is she a dragon too? he thought. The wings on his own back were lightly twitching, his dragon instincts kicking in. No not a dragon like me, but still... He said to himself. "Hey what kind of bird are you?" He asked bluntly. He really was curious about her, but did not want to seem like he had a caring side to him. Jack caught up to her, stumbling on the stairs as he made his way up. "Do not worry, I will be able to control myself...I think." He said whispering the last part. He hoped that focusing on asking questions about her would help his blood lust instincts. So far so good..

"I'm not a hybrid, if that's what you're thinking." Jade replied, mimicking his tone of voice while mischief danced in her eyes. "I'm a pure-blooded Gargoyle, which I guess in some ways can be considered a cousin species to the dragon part of your heritage. Unlike dragons, however, we can fully collapse our wings into tattoos on our backs." Reaching up to her shoulder, Jade pushed the fabric of her shirt aside just enough to reveal part of the swirling pattern that had reformed on her skin.

Looking ahead she realized she couldn't hear the voices or even the breathing of the companions she had left behind. "Okori... You're sure they're up here still?"

Zack flipped on the light. It took a minute for his eyes to adjust to the light. He was facing away from Mocha so he didn't see her knelt down by pool of blood. He scanned his half of the pool. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary. As far as he could take no one had come this way. He turned towards Mocha and gasped. "OH!!"

Jack raised an eyebrow and moved toward her back. "OOhhh that is freaky...in a good way." He tapped her wings as they were out, then when they reverted to that tattoo state, he touched her back, feeling just skin. His pupils dialated and his instincts kicked in. He almost started to salivate, but quickly suppressed his emotions. After gaining his calm back, hopefully without her noticing, he was in awe. "Whoa, first scales, then skin." He whispered, again poking her back where the tattoo was. He was so distracted he almost forgot about the others. They seemed to be lost or something? Maybe they were afraid. Yes....afraid and lost. His eyes fired up and he sniffed the air, taking in the aroma of the others. "Better than tomato soup, yes, much better" He whispered under his breath.

At the sound of the gasp coming from behind her, the rabbit-eared girl quickly pulled her hand away from her eyes to see what was wrong with Zack. She didn't even manage to fully look over before she noticed the rather large amount of blood in front of where she was positioned. Jumping up and falling back, she let out a shriek that was half-muffled by her hand flying toward her mouth. She tried to kick herself away from it, unable to tear her gaze away.

"W-why is there so much? W-what happened h-here?"

Jade playfully tapped the back of Jack's head with a smirk. "I saw that." She chuckled before holding her hand up, the skin turning into stone before him. "I'm not as edible as I look." With a wink and laugh, Jade poked her head into a few of the rooms before locating one that wasn't quite like the others.

"Something tells me our friends are not as lost as we think them to be." She stated, pointing at the slightly open passage that Zach and Mocha had passed through a little while earlier. Suddenly she heard a shriek which most likely belonged to little Mocha. Rushing forward into the dark passage, Jade gritted her teeth together in fear of what she might find. "Hello? Are you alright?"

Jack perked up to the sound of a screech, and followed Jade as she went ran to them. As Jack was following, he smelled something that made him stop in his tracks. Blood. Jack himself had no desire to consume blood, but his dragon part did. He licked his lips with his dragon like tongue, his eyes orange and bright. Well if someone is about to die, I might as well end it for them. His dragon mind thought. His wings ripped out of his shirt, and right through his jacket. He stretched them, feeling like he was stretching his legs after a 5 hour car ride. He growled, and sprinted, using his wings to propel himself forward. Jack dashed past Jade continuing on until he found the room with the blood. He scanned the floor trying to find a body. "Where the hell is the body?" He roared, light smoke shooting out of his nostrils. His skin started to become scales as his instincts took over.
