Zac was quietly thinking as Alexis and the pixiebot were speaking. Angelic? he thought. I thought the Cyborgels were supposed to be modeled after the demons who came to Earth all those years ago. Maybe it has to do with why they feel so...I dunno, 'undemonic?'

Even though Alexis had told him to turn the pixiebot's volume down, he doesn't seem to notice and says, "Well, as curious as that Latin was and whatnot, I'm honestly more interested in that news bulletin you parroted." Rising to his feet, he looks out the window of the building and adds, "I'm pretty sure I know how to get to the Motorway from here. I'm also certain I know the area those pictures were taken."

Turning to Alexis, he then says, "I think we should go check that out, just to see what was going on. We'll bring the little one here along with us and, with any luck, we'll run into this Detective Noire and he'll have some information for us, like why he decided to have his pixiebot spy on us like this."

Looking down at the pixiebot, he adds, "And we'll go ahead and pass the time with a one-sided game of Twenty Questions."

"So, alive," he said, understanding her meaning now. He was "normal " because he was alive. That wasn't normal for cyborgels. His brow furrowed at the thought, feeling there wasn't something quite right with the statement. After all hadn't that creature from earlier been a cyborgel? Yet she didn't act like one, no more than he was.

He winced as a headache throbbed. Closing his eyes he began to wonder new things he hasn't before. Like why he was made out of flesh. The newer models weren't. He saw chief looking online at them...

Chief's back was turned, only the light from her computer illuminating the room. She had told him to clean the barracks, and after long hours of toiling, he had finally finished. Putting the rags away, he turned to see chief hunched over her computer, clacking away at her keys.

"Chief, can I get you anything? he asked as he approached the computer, his eyes catching what she was looking at. Chief didn't turn around, grunting coffee.

A feeling of sadness washed over him as he realized why he had been left in the ally. He had been thrown away, no longer useful. Honestly he wasn't sure why he was functioning considering his injuries.

"Why was I made with flesh?" he asked to no one in particular.

"Amazing, isn't it? How under control they are now... Under our, control...."

The voice echoed quietly with a hint of reverberation, and it sounded so close to Lexie's ear that she could have sworn Mery was right beside her. Lexie curiously turned around to see where these words came from, but she was only greeted by the dust particles that reflected in the beams of light. To be truthful, she had a clearing around her of a few meters to the closest onlooker, and even then they were too distracted by the Prototype that stood up on the stage analysing itself. In other words this statement she heard came from the air more-so than the lips of her co-worker.

"Our Control?" Lexie quietly spoke out, unsure as to whether Mery was somehow listening or not. Carefully she stepped aside, moving along while pirouetting and analysing everything around her. To Lexie, this didn't feel right. Mery's voice was so close to her ear that it was so crystal clear. "What are you talking about? Why would the audience be under our..."

Whilst moving along Lexie have moved back to where her and the stage hand were completing the touch ups to improve her presentation for the reveal. She could see a mirror positioned nearby that was used for people to check their appearance one last time before they ventured out on stage. She stood there and analysed herself within the reflection, bringing a hand up to her face and towards the corner of her eye. She noticed how dull they looked with their lack of colour before coming to a conclusion.

"You're not referring to the people are you?" She looked deeper into her eyes and saw them lightly flash a green hue while narrowing their gaze. "Which brings up even more questions..."

As she stared into the mirror she noticed her reflection shimmer ever so slightly.

Both Lee and Razielle were going to fix up Ethan. To Yuri, the mechanic was unlucky for getting hurt and lucky to be healed up by two Cyborgels. The Russian could not wait to rub that on Ethan's face. Lee had asked Yuri a question though, about what they, the Cyborgels, were.

Yuri cleared his throat before beginning. "I don't know if you remember but a couple of decades ago, angels from Heaven descended to the Earth to bring the world's end and to transfer its inhabitants to the afterlife. The humans were, of course, not really sure about the whole 'dying' thing but the angels promised the transition would be painless. But then, a number of humans began speaking against the angels, claiming they were actually demons here to wreak havoc upon the world."

"The rest of humanity believed them and the preachers of the lies, Desium Corp., handed out weapons that could defeat angels and waged war against them, uniting the world in one society. In a short span of time, the angels of Heaven were utterly defeated and taken prisoner. Every last one of them. The government said they would release the angels back to Heaven but we saw nary an angel that flew back to the sky. Perhaps they returned via teleportation sure but then Desium Corp. started giving out Cyborgels." Yuri continued, inhaling once before continuing.

"These Cyborgel servants were very reminiscent of our 'enemies'. Why? Why didn't they manufacture robotic servants that look more pleasing than the 'enemy'. Could it be that the Cyborgel design are made that way to mock the defeated angels? I doubt that. Save for the mocking part. Desium Corp. certainly mocked the angelic race when the imprisoned angels were transformed into mechanical servants."

"Well servants no more as you both are clearly not serving anyone. You know, save for that boy." Yuri finished.

Alexis frowned at the duo, still a bit sore about not being able to rip the little machine into shreds. While Zac's kindness had brought her to warmth and food, he was a bit too kind. Did he honestly believe the thing was some form of hostage to be bartered with?

"If you are so intent on accessing the bot's internally stored information, it is much more efficient to link its processor to a computer and read the memory core." Alexis leaned heavily against the wall as she stood, still barely in any shape to move. "It likely contains some manner of beacon or tracking device that will lead unwanted danger towards us. I suggest extracting its information and deconstructing it. I may be able to make use of its miniature wiring and transmitter."

The pixiebots wings fluttered in their bonds nervously. Jacobi would not like this at all. Then again, now would be a good chance to get more research for him. Her arms were still folded and she resigned to her current fate. She looked over at the cyborgel and at him curiously, quirking a brow.
"You're gonna go out in public dressed like that? Don't you stick out a little?"

@NuttsnBolts

"You've lost your touch Lexie," The face in the mirror behind her said. Her eyes narrowed softly and she folded her arms. "I'd be more surprised except that this is completely unsurprising. You always were a lesser demon. If you want answers you'll have to sweet talk them out of Atemisk. Not that he cares anything about us..."

@Ruki

Mel found his question to be quite interesting.

"It's just synthetic skin!" She answered with a smile. She held out her arm to him. "Go ahead, feel! Your skin is different than mine!" If she had an emoji for a face it would probably be something like ^u^. The artist did always enjoy how the litter bugs expressed themselves.

@PaulHaynek
Lee listened and while it sounded so right... she felt something was missing. "How would ...humans even know how to make weapons to take down something like an 'angel?'"

Doing as he was told, Liron reached forward with his good hand - and the only non-mechanical one - and felt the skin on her arm. It was softer than his and not as hard, after all she was an artist not a firefighter - they wouldn't have the same muscle tone. Still it felt like his, unless hers was synthetic as well. But that wouldn't make sense, so he threw the thought away.

"It feels the same to me," Liron said rather bluntly. "Plus I am bleeding-" he gestured to his wounds to prove his point. "Plus, what is the point of synthetic flesh? The newer models don't have it."

There was definitely a trace of sullenness in his last sentence. Who could blame him? While he was still fuzzy on the details, he realized he had been thrown away and now he was asking a human who didn't build him the equivalent of philosophical questions. If Mel had ever watched Digimon, it was like he was reinacting BlackWarGreymon's quest for answers. Except with a whole lot less destroying.

Zac chuckles and rubs the back of his head. "Well, there are a few problems with what you said, Alexis," he says. "First off, I know next to nothing about computers, much less own one. I just figured it'd be easier to hold onto her until we get to a computer or until this detective finds us."

Turning to the pixiebot, he adds, "And as for your question, we're not gonna be walking outside. In all the time I've been on my own, I've been able to memorize the sewer tunnels as well as the back of my hand. There's an entrance in an alley behind this building which should get us where we wanna go pretty quickly."

Lee had a question with Yuri's story. It was about the weapons that defeated the angelic race.

"I... honestly do not know, Lee." The Russian answered. He had been also been pondering about that since he joined the Revolution. All he could do was speculate. "Perhaps humanity, or a small part of it, has foreseen your arrival and developed countermeasures for it. Or maybe they secretly developed new weapons and found the perfect test subjects when you came. I really do not know, I'm sorry."

"You always were a lesser demon."

"I am more than a mere pawn amongst this world of peasants!" Lexie spun around and was once again found herself alone back stage. The words she spoke didn't even echo within the room, giving it the feeling that it fell upon deaf ears. "I am more than that," She quietly spoke out, "I was more than that..."

"If you want answers you'll have to sweet talk them out of Atemisk. Not that he cares anything about us..." This time the words were clear and unaltered as Lexie felt two hands rest upon her shoulders and the sight of Mery the B's head lean past her ear. She looked at Lexie, waiting for her to make her mind up.

In the distance Lexie could see Atemisk finishing up his speech with the MechaCyborgel nearby. She could it moving about as it seemed to be assessing itself. She knew that it wouldn't be long before the presentation ended and she would get an opportunity to talk to him about everything that has been going on with Desium Corp. Maybe she would even get the opportunity to discuss the Cyborgels and what they were going to do to control them. She stepped forward closer to the stage and waited along the edge for her given moment.
