The Plot: In 2112 After the world economy crashed due to a a lack of resources on earth, what was left of the world's space programs decided to roll the dice. With reach of our craft was a suddenly opened wormhole gaping and mysterious. With no time left and little options left 6 massive ships carrying 7,500 people each entered the hole. Near the end of the trip, the hole split and 2 of the 6 fell into the wrong tunnel separated from the rest. Emerging into a unknown section of the universe, with no contact with earth or the rest of the fleet, the two ships began to colonize the fertile worlds discovered and make use of the long lost technology sealed away in temples on the new world

The Mission: You are a member of the CDF (colonial defense force) part of a task force ordered to investigate a undercover cargo ship with information on the Carseti crime syndicate (a violent world spanning gang in open rebellion of the colonial government)

Hey everyone who is interested sorry for the lengthy intro, just trying to set the stage! I have few restrictions on character creation when we start but I would like to see if there is any interest before accepting CS, just the basics, no overpowered characters, in fact chances are your character might die. As for numbers I have a slot reserved but I would like as many people as I can get.
I've taken inspiration from Resident Evil, Dead Space, and a little bit from the card game Tyrant.

Power armor as in something a Spartan or a Space Marine would have no. Armor of a standard soldier is a suit of Kevlar with tech at the joints for ease of movement.(Makes the armor feel and move lighter than it is without sacrificing protection) Yes there are personal energy shields. Cyborg? I'm intrigued so yes I'll allow it.

How long ago was first contact(landing) from when we start the RP?

Did both ships land on the same planet or is our mission concerning the second colony ship?

What is the tech level of our Colonie?

Is the planet Terra-formed or are we in a dome city?

How many worlds have we colonized since first contact?

What kind of government structure is in use for our Colonie?

First landing took place 174 years ago, so the new society is fairly established, with one Colony ship (New Frontier) landing First on the capital world of Dawn. The second ship (Fool's Gambit) Landed in a different solar system, both worlds had the highest number of ancient temples of worlds discovered. As most scientific research has been centered on technology found in the temples most weapons and utilities are similar to earth but enhanced, though groundbreaking discoveries have been made in propulsion systems and shipbuilding allowing faster travel between the systems.

The Colonies are spread across 9 different worlds, 3 moons, in 4 solar systems.
While the tech is available to terr-form the process is lengthy so the more inhabited planets have higher oxygen and EE (earth equivalent levels). EE is also used to measure resource and livability levels. Dawn is EE 3. While Fool's Gambit is -EE2 (less then earth equivalent).
The Government is a bicameral representative democracy where each world or moon elects a representative for the first house, and each of the 4 systems elect a rep. for the second. The Carseti cartel leaders claim to be descendents of the officers of the Original Fool's Gambit, and where forced into serving the new government.

Something I seem to have failed to mention the mission is to investigate a ship that has gone silent in transit, so it is still in space.

There are stories among the soldiers of the higher ups who can vanish from the air only to reappear to deal the death blow. However for the lowly recruits it's just a dream. As for space craft, such schematics have been found in the ruins, but those eggheads in research and development haven't found a convenient way to power it for more than a few minutes, and even then sensors can still trace the ship.
