Levita stopped completely when Archie simply jumped to naming their soon-to-be exploration team. No way the registration process was that easy. There had to be a catch, some sort of dungeon quest or battle they had to do. But no, she could not detect a challenge within their words. They were just...in.

And now she was being given the decision as well. Levita turned to Rebecca and remained silent for a moment to think. "Team...Crescendo," she finally answered, blinking as the name surprisingly fit. "Yeah...Team Crescendo."

Levita noticed the confused look from Archie, and took a deep breath. "Alright, we aren't a soprano group, but the name reflects the team we're going to build, from fresh beginnings to one of the first-rates," she explained to Rebecca, raising her arm-strand, and she then felt some confidence return to her. She was reminded of Cobust, reminded of the time where they fought which each other, reminded of the time he trained all night long, reminded of the time he left home. If he was here...he would have said the same words, full of energy and ambition. "Just you wait. We'll get there."

"Well, good luck. There will be challenges, and you two better be ready to face them," Archie replied; his words were genuine, but at the same time, tired. He had heard many Pókemon say the same thing over and over again. There was already those three strange exploration teams and the guildmaster to deal with. With a chuckle, he muttered, "First the Magnemite and his team, then the Goomy, and now this...heh. Wow. These young Pókemon never ceases to surprise me."

Archie smiled and beckoned the two with his talons. "Well...if you're content with the team name, I should be giving you two your team badges and starting supplies. Unfortunately, you may not be able to take up any contracts on the first day, not when it's so late today. I think it will be best if you just explore the guild and the town by yourselves and open up a room for you two to sleep in," he added before giving the two a satchel, filled with a stack of team badges - more than two, obviously, for recruitment - along with a guide book and a map. "If you have any questions, please find me in the guildmaster's office." And with that, the Archie walked away from the two.

Kamina

Since the strange Eevee (not Celes, she had already evolved) wasn't saying anything, Kamina decided to leave her be and return to the fight at hand. Upon seeing Spruce get sexually assaulted by a Ghastly (ie, get hit with Lick), he immediately spoke up "Hey! Just what do you think you're doing to him!? Fighting is one thing, but that's just sexual harassment, and in frount of his lover no less! I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!!!!" With that, Kamina plowed into the Ghost Type with a Flame Charge

Tini

The new stranger's words made poor Tini's little brain implode from shear mind-blownatude (that is totally a word). "How...how could something so horrible happen to someone?" His little eyes started to water up with unshed tears "to have to live you whole life so deprived...and I thought I was suffering, living in content agonizing pain, never knowing when death would claim me before I was saved by lord Xerneas. You're so strong..." The tears were now flowing freely down his face. Quickly rushing to Eralion, Tini coiled his body around the Fighting Type in a cuddly hug "don't worry, it's going to be alright now; we'll get you more cookies then your stomach is capable of holding. I don't know how...but we'll find a way. So please, just hold on for a little longer. You can't die yet!"

“Team Crescendo…” I repeat as Levita proposes her idea, testing the sound of the name. It sounds awesome, and when Levita explains her decision it becomes downright radical in my eyes. I’m a bit disappointed when she says we’re not going to be a soprano group on the side, though. Maybe we could have a regular band and make some extra money on the side? I discreetly grab my notebook, flip to a new page, and write:

  • Note to Self: Strike up the Band?

Then I quickly change bullet point into a little musical note before putting the book back away, because doodling adds visual flare to any list.

“Yeah,” I eventually concur with growing confidence, “We’ll start off small and subtle, but eventually we’ll swell in power and volume until we’re nothing short of a power ballad! Our every attack will hit with impact and style! Our coordination will be perfect down to the last beat! When we help those in need, they’ll be humming our tune for years to come!” pumped up and inspired, I spin around and point my right arm skywards to punctuate my speech. Archie just stares at me with a reassuring smile before leaving, leaving me quite embarrassed over my little outburst as my arm falls limply back to my side..

“Well,” I say after he’s gone, deciding to carry the other satchel myself upon realizing that I had no idea how much a Drifloon could actually carry. “I guess we should get a room first, considering we don’t have much spending money yet…” I feel kind of reinvigorated, now that I think about it. I ran into a few hurdles, but with Levita’s help, I’ve managed to overcome them, and we’ll hopefully be able to keep overcoming hurdles until there aren’t any hurdles left to stand in our way.

Martin's conch horn had summoned enemies all around them. Matt instinctively put up Reflect and Light Screen as soon as the battle started. Anthony went straight for Martin, and it didn't seem like he needed any help at the moment. Xeno, on the other hand, was attempting to attack a Swablu, but it was flying too high for him to reach it. Josh aimed a Water Gun at it, which caused it to lose a little bit of altitude, but it was still in the air.
"Go after the walking enemies, Xeno." He said. "I can handle the flying ones."
There were a lot of Pokemon soaring above them right now. There were two Swablu and a Starly at the moment, and that was just the ones that he could see. There were probably plenty that were hidden by the fog, as well.

The Swablu that Xeno was trying to attack went for Josh, now that it saw him as a threat. It used Round, and did a good amount of damage to him before it was blasted out of the sky by another Water Gun.
"I'll never get all of them at this rate." Josh said, just as a Hoppip flew down from above. to replace the Swablu Josh just knocked out.
"Perhaps this will help." Matt said, pulling something out of Josh's bag. It was the Thunderbolt TM that he bought back when they were in Scale City. He completely forgot about it after Zane showed up in front of the hotel, and it's been collecting dust in his bag ever since.

Without hesitation, Josh took the TM, pressing it against his forehead. The bright yellow disc emitted a soft glow for a moment, then faded to a dark grey colour. Josh threw the now-useless TM to the side. The Swablu that Josh knocked to the ground earlier flew back up into the air. It flew towards Josh, but it was interrupted by a bolt of electricity. That was more than enough to finish it off. Josh looked over at the other flying Pokemon.
"Come at me. I dare you."

"Right, okay!" Xeno shouted back, watching as the swablu switched targets once he left it be. For a moment the sableye's eye's failed to find a nearby pokemon that wasn't flying, though one quickly found him as he received a Fake Out in the back of his head.

It didn't hurt though, and Xeno only stumbled forward before looking behind him to see a Tyrogue looking somewhat confused and displeased. "Was- was that meant to hurt?" Xeno asked, touching the back of his head where the move had contacted. "It was," the Tyrogue began, a glint appearing behind it's eye as it used foresight, "and now it should." With force the Tyrogue tried Fake Out again, it's open palm hitting Xeno square in the chest which caused him to stumble back and flinch. While he was vulnerable the Tyrogue followed up with a tackle, knocking Xeno to the ground and eliciting a short fit of laughter.

Unhappily, Xeno pulled himself up and began readying for his aggressor, focusing his mental energy into a Zen Headbutt. His skull felt heavy, giving the impression that he'd been knocked dizzy as he stood up. Obviously feeling cocky now the Tyrogue rushed forward to use tackle again, but before it could properly connect Xeno swung his head forward to connect his own attack. The strike had been unexpected by the Tyrogue, meaning it was all the more devastating as it's legs buckled and it flew back a short distance. "Good, Arceus- that hurt!" it shouted, obviously in a great deal of pain as it clutched it's head and kicked it's feet. All Xeno did was smirk, feeling accomplished as he looked about to be sure nobody else would try to attack him.

Rebecca's metaphorical speech confused the Drifloon and left her silent for a moment. Seriously, she sounds more like a Meloetta now... Levita thought. This team naming added another issue: who was going to be the leader? They probably didn't need one now, but sooner or later they were going to get more members, and they had to be ready for it.

Levita nodded at Reb's second remark. Now that she realized it, they were dirt poor. Apparently when they arrived here, the town Pókemon were trading with some gold-standard currency they called Póke, and now that she thought of it, a few of the wild Pókemon in the dungeon were holding a small pile of those coins. Darn...I should have picked these up when I had the chance. "The rooms shouldn't be too far from here," she noted, and went close to Reb's satchel to take out one of their team badges. It was the standard guild badge with cartoonish Audino ears coming out from the side, but other than that, the center looked plain. Maybe she could get Reb to draw their team insignia on it.

The two went off to find the rooms, which were conveniently located down a long hallway next to the message boards. A few of the room doors were decorated with signs or posters; Levita assumed they were for recruiting lone members. It was a bit hard to find a room, since the guildmaster and his second-in-command didn't exactly assign them one, and most of the rooms were taken anyway. Levita ended up having to test some of the doors to check if they were locked, and finally, nearly twenty rooms down, they found an unlocked room.

Whew...at least I don't have to share with some str- "Hey, you two! Get away from my place!" a Pókemon suddenly shouted; Levita looked up and immediately saw a purple-eyed ice cream figure. He had something in his mouth, and at first Levita thought the Vanillite was chewing on something, until after close inspection, she noticed it was just a small teaspoon. Ice-types... "Get away from my door! Scram!"

I stare down the long hallway. Would I really have to walk this far every time we got up in the morning? Could they really not make another hallway that sort of branches off partway from this one? Well, I guess I could teleport, but still; not a good way to start the day. My complaint are more or less confirmed when an open room sits a whopping twenty doors down from the guild’s main hall. Much more suspiciously, however, it seems to have already been taken by a very grumpy Vanillite.

“Levita,” I ask accusingly, “were you invoking Finagle’s Law? Because this seems like an awfully Finaglish scenario if you ask me…” I shrug as I let it drop, deciding that there wasn’t really any point in disputing it now that it’s already gone into effect. I look the very grumpy Vanillite up and down, wondering why a Pokemon that looks like ice cream wouldn’t be more cheerful, or at least more polite and understanding. Of course, no one has to behave exactly in accordance to how they act, but it’d still be really nice in this case. Either way, respect and kindness are their own rewards.

“Wait a second,” I ask after a few moments, the very grumpy Vanillite’s words reminding me of something else. “‘Scram?’ Your name wouldn’t happen to be Oscar, would it…? Also, wouldn’t it technically be the guild’s room? I mean, I guess you got here first, but…” I decide to stick to playing the Giratina’s advocate for now; I’d much rather have a room without a very grumpy Vanillite if I had any say in the matter, as it would probably be detrimental to my inner glow. It’d be like running into Leon right after he wakes up in the morning; very grumpy and no fun at all.

Levita grumbled back in response; never mind about some law, there was an Ice-type yelling at her and she wasn't going to just take it. If it weren't for the fact that she just entered the guild...ooh, Arceus, she was going to teach him a lesson. The Vanillite stared back at Rebecca blankly, almost as if a Pokémon had done something crazy right in front of him. "Hmph. What kind of wimpy name is 'Oscar'?" he shot back, and he swung open the door.

The Drifloon was able to get a look of the inside of the Vanillite's room; right in front of the door was a bed, a single fridge-like bed next to a table with a single chair. The room hardly had any decorations, and Levita felt a cold draft blow against them. A satchel with a guild badge pinned on it, presumably the Vanillite's, hung on the pegs of the bed. "Now. Who's place does this look like?" he questioned them flatly. "Obviously you two aren't blind and deaf, so you two losers will have to stay away from my chill zone. Guess you and balloon-head have to share with someone else. Speaking of the balloon-head...I didn't know you learned Explosion."

As the Vanillite slammed the door, Levita stormed her way back. "Come on, Reb! let's go find someone else who can offer a place to bunk."

"Could you get your fucking head down John?!" Of course, I was the only one actually doing escort duty. The rest of us were fighting off Pokemon and ensuring we wouldn't die out here. Funnily enough, most travelers typically get rescued despite astronomically low odds of Pokemon finding them. Then again, there are instances where Pokemon are known to disappear, go missing and even die at times. This battle certainly reminded us of that danger.

Alright, enough of that. It's just me getting bored while hunkering down with John. I know there's a lot of danger out there, but hiding away from danger just points out you've got nothing else to do. "Well, now I know why you called us." Chances were, if I did another electrical attack, it would probably burn down the swamp. John called us for that matter, though he didn't count on us having an electric Pokemon. Well, he got what he got, muttering to himself and trying to avoid talking to me. I peeked over the rock we were hiding behind, noticing we were going up against a damn wall at this point. Everything else was down, but the Solosis was going to screw us over. Of course, this was reality, not some video game. I assumed there was still some odd weak spot we could exploit, but the simultaneous shimmering and gleam of the shields made it hard for me to see.

“Actually, I technically don’t see a lot with my eyes; it’s really more of a complex system of-” I start to explain, but I’m cut off when he rudely decides to slam the door to his admittedly barren room in our faces. It’s kind of weird that someone would have a “chill zone” and behave in a way that could never possibly be construed as “chill.” I take a deep breath; now Levita seems to be very grumpy as well. I don’t know how a Pokemon with no legs could storm down the hallways, but Levita somehow manages to pull it off. She could probably stare down a Bastiodon. Maybe even Rayquaza, too, if she had to.

“It’s not a really big deal,” I say to Levita in an attempt to calm her down. “Some people are just really grumpy like that. Besides, it’s like you said; we’ll be in the big leagues some day, but it’ll be because we’re oozing in competency, confidence, and compassion. Scrooge with Extra Sprinkles over there is never going to make it that far, because he’s too abrasive for anyone to consider working with him. Which is also why we shouldn’t look like we’re going to kill someone when we try to find a roommate.” I give the Drifloon a nervous smile as I follow her through the hall, running a hand through my hair.

I stared at Tini wrapping around the pancham, and then say "We're all crazy here, heh..." and I look at the mission board, seeing Bonnie eying a mission with a Scyther on Mt. Pinnacle. "Let's take that one!" I say, pulling it off of the board, and staring at the mission's details. It never said exactly where, but we'd continue going until we found him! I got my stuff ready and climbed the ladder, looking at the sun. 'I might need some stuff... maybe a few oran berries, possibly a warp orb...' I thought, looking down at Allure Town. I went in that direction and came to Bob and Ed's, going towards them and ordering two oran berries and a warp orb. I had but 100 gold after buying that stuff, and I left Allure Town in the direction of Mt. Pinnacle, after my teammates came with, of course.

For some reason, M seemed focused on the solosis, who still had his reflect and light screen up. I could almost swear that the thing was sticking its tongue out at me. Earlier, M scolded John to keep his head down, and John was going to say something, probably something to scold M, but decided against it. The gastly seemed hurt pretty badly from Kamina's flame charge, and decided to use lick on him, instead of me this time, leaving me to think for a moment. Unfortunately, while I was thinking, the solosis used recover, healing whatever damage it took from Celes' swift attack. I then recall what I said about leech seed, and just how helpful it would be in this situation, and I try to remember how Vine used it on my adventures with him. The memory was vague, but, I somehow eventually managed to pull it off, apparently surprising the solosis as the attack, which was known to miss when you really needed it to hit, actually hit, and planted its seeds on the thing, which quickly came into effect, draining the solosis' health, and actually healing me somewhat. John then shouted "Do you guys usually have this much trouble with this area? I mean, are you sure you're qualified for this job!?" I decided against attacking John, despite the fact that, at least to me, he had a very punchable face right now.

[Bonnie]

William, despite the fact that we JUST completed a very exhausting mission, where nothing sounded better than bed right now, decided to run off to this other mission. "William...!" I try to shout before he races off to buy items and head over to this 'Mt. Pinnacle' despite us having never been there before. I finally catch up to him, and shout "We JUST got back from a mission, one in a DESERT where I almost DIED! Don't you think it'd be nice if we had some sort of, I dunno, BREAK in between the missions!? We'll do this one tomorrow, but I really can't go on another mission right now," I then head back to Treasure Town, grumbling to myself and working under the impression that William was actually going to follow me. If he didn't, then it's his funeral... I couldn't even go back to save him if I wanted to thanks to the condition that last mission left me in. Yeesh... he really needs to curb his enthusiasm... though, I think this is the first time he's ever been this excited to go on a mission, as in, ever. What the heck's wrong with him today? I think as the guild gets closer to me. I enter the place, and head straight to the dining room, saying "Hey... you guys. Do you want dinner? I think they're serving it right now," when I pass by my teammates. I then sit down in my usual spot, though, it seemed a little empty now that William was either slow, or off on a mission by himself, of course, that didn't change my appetite, and I ate pretty much whatever happened to be the closest to me at the time... I didn't know or even care what it was, but I ended up eating all of it in a matter of seconds... well, okay, not really seconds, but I was pretty dang hungry.

[Anthony]

I continue using absorb as Martin continues using tackle on me, with my absorb somehow showing some signs of improvement since the last time we fought... as was obvious on Martin's face whenever I used the move on him. Martin, however, still had enough time to sneak in an oran berry every now and then just to make sure he doesn't faint... which left us in the same stalemate as we were in back at Beach Cave. It seemed like so long ago, and this was bringing back all those old memories. "Hey, Anthony," Martin says to me as he uses tackle, not hurting me quite as much as he used to, with him continuing, flinching as I use absorb on him "W-where'd you get that stupid-looking helmet from?" I simply glare at him. He didn't need to know that information, and my new helmet looked awesome, not stupid... right? All I did say was "Even if it looks stupid to you, it just so happens to make me resist dragon-type moves," Martin laughs at that thought, and continues with another tackle, with me using absorb to reheal the damage I took from his attack. He then uses yet another oran berry on himself, healing the damage HE took from my absorbs... basically resetting everything, again. "Anthony, you should give up. You're outmatched! Can't you see I'm doing so much better than you? I mean, look, I could literally do this all day, and probably will until you start using struggle, and killing yourself for me!" I mumbled something, not wanting to give up, and he continues with "Y'know, you can rejoin my team. You're always welcome, and I can forgive your, ahem, horrible attempt at back-stabbing me... best friends, remember, Anthony?" I look to the side, and mumble again, and he asks "What was that?" I then finally answer with "I'll never join you! You lied to me! You're no friend of mine, you're just another criminal!" Apparently shocked, Martin, that is, after another round of tackles and absorbs happens says "How could you say that to me? Aren't you my best friend? Haven't we been friends long enough to overcome this petty difference?" I used this 'speech' as an advantage as I snuck in another absorb, which caused him to use another oran berry... as if he had some sort of 'auto berry' ability, or something...

Levita's episode of anger was almost comical; sure, she could stare down a Bastiodon, but the balloon Pokémon was hardly intimidating, and looked like she was just inflating herself. When Reb finally calmed her, however, she deflated back to her previous state and sighed. "I guess you are right, Rebecca. I'm sorry for how I acted," she muttered, rubbing on her cloud-puff. "Just...how would the guildmaster accept an unrefined Pokémon like Mr. Freeze-Cone? He doesn't belong here, not with that attitude."

But before Levita could finish her ranting, a door opened nearby her, and a big, orange head peeked out of the opening. "I...um...heard you want a room," the Scraggy interrupted, and Levita immediately leered at the shedding Pokemon before hesitating and dropping her angered demeanor. Unfortunately, the Scraggy had noticed her sudden change in emotion and went silent for a moment. "I have room for the two of you."

The Drifloon went silent as well, before smiling and nodding. "Oh? T-thanks then, fellow guild member!" Levita replied, raising her arm strand to greet the Scraggy. "Well, my name is Levita, and my Ralts friend here is named Rebecca. We're the members of Team Crescendo. Perfect to the last beat!"

She had just came up with the slogan after listening to Reb's speech, and the Scraggy's cheeks blushed; Levita didn't seem to notice, however. Wow...these two girls don't just look attractive, they're cool, too... he thought, widening the door for the two. "My...my name is Scraps. I've been in this guild for....three weeks now," he introduced. "Your team's kinda awesome. I can let you...sleep here for a few nights until you two get your own rooms."

"Nice! You're pretty awesome too, Scraps," Levita responded, deciding it would be better to return a compliment as well. After all, he did give them a place to sleep. The Drifloon pulled on her satchel and floated her way in, but then a sudden rumble quickly startled her. "What was that?"

"AERIAL ACE!" Another Pokémon shouted, his voice muffled from the wall next to them. "Alright, good job, Kinder! But you won't be able to beat my KNOCK OFF!" Shortly after, there was another loud slam against the floor.

"Oh, that's Team Frontline. They usually train with each other at this time," Scraps explained. "Team Frontline is a recently registered exploration team. They're currently two weeks old, but they certainly have an endless amount of energy. Yeah, their training gets noisy at times, but at least they've agreed with the nearby neighbors to keep it down at sleep-time."

Another "AERIAL ACE!" was shouted past the wall, followed by another rumble. "Wow. Looks like the team is really going all out," Levita commented with a chuckle. The guild was starting to get stranger and stranger...

"Anyway, it's going to be dinnertime in a few minutes," Scraps reminded, sitting on one of the straw-piled beds while tapping against his pants-like skin idly. "You two should put down some of your stuff here, and we can go to the dining hall to get something to eat."

Wait, it's that late already? Huh...we've done quite a few things that I've lost track of time. Levita thought. But yeah, dinner sounds great. I wonder what they have right now. "Yeah, sure Scraps. I just realized we haven't ate anything yet!" she answered, setting down her satchel on another bed and floating out the door. "Well, actually, I mean Rebecca...Ghosts don't need to eat anything to survive. We just do it because of the taste."

As Celes looked at the Solosis who decided it was a good idea to use recover to get back his dang health points, she pondered a bit, feeling the ghosts in the area. It was getting overwhelming for her... She didn't know how she could react and fight them, especialy gastly,. She then looked at the ghastly. If only she could hit him... but Kamina probably had it covered. She turned and looked at the solosis, before going to use swift on him. Though with all the feelings she had here, she seemed to be unable to use it... It was strange... as if she was... forgetting how to use it now. She concentrated and then attacked... only for it to be used as a Ominous Wind attack, right towards the Solosis. Another move Celes was not even suppose to be able to use. Suddenly the move hit the solosis and actually weakened him, and make Celes feel... stronger.... She regained confidence before looking back at John who actualy insulted the group. She growled.
"Do you want to be left here with no one to defend you? I sudgest you stop insulting us all the time! We are doing our job, don't expect us to just beat everything here in one hit, cause I am pretty sure you can't do that." she then says annoyed at John.

Eralion listened to everyone until Tini went and actually curled up on him, telling him that he was strong to not have gotten as many cookies and that he would try to have as many as he could, as well as something about Xerneas. He looked at him in the eyes right there.
"Please... listen.... I actually do like cookies and all, but I kinda do have my own kind of sweet." he then says, giving a small smile. He then give him a hug.
"So don't worry about me..." he says, letting Tini down before then opening his bag and getting.... what seemed to be a bamboo stick, that Eralion opened up. A sweet aroma could be smelled from inside. Eralion took a small sip, smiling, and closing the container.
"Good old sweet berry water from back home... Lucky my mom showed me how to make it." he says, smiling at Tini. Sure, he did like cookies, but he liked his mother's personal sweet water recipe as much as cookies. Always did keep him awake and up when he needed it. He then see Bonnie come back after talking to William that seemed to rush for another mission. Well... he could not say he was not full of energy. He smiles as he hears about serving dinner.
"That would be great... I didn't eat much for quite a while. Saving supplies for the journey and such." he say.

There was a Swablu, a Hoppip, and a Starly flying around Josh and Matt. The Swablu flew towards them, only to get hit by a Thunderbolt. It wasn't knocked out yet, but it was pretty clear that it wouldn't be able to take another hit. It used Fury Attack on him, which luckily only hit twice. Josh used Thunderbolt yet again, this time knocking it out and sending it to the ground.

The Hoppip whispered something to the Starly, who did a slight nod in response. They both attacked at the same time, with the Hoppip going for Matt, and the Starly going for Josh. Thankfully, the Starly wasn't anywhere near as resilient as the Swablu. One Thunderbolt was enough to knock it out, leaving only the Hoppip, who used Sleep Powder on Matt.

He slowly floated down to the ground as he drifted off to sleep, dropping Josh's bucket in the process. A bunch of the water spilled out as it hit the ground, but surprisingly it was still upright when it landed. Josh had no idea if Hoppip was weak to Electric moves or not. Matt would probably know, but he was asleep. Josh decided not to risk it. He used Acid, which seemed to do quite a bit of damage. It hit Josh three times with Bullet Seed, then got knocked out by another Acid.

Meanwhile, Anthony was having some trouble fighting Martin. As much as Josh wanted to help, he was too far away to hit Martin with anything, and since Matt was asleep he had no way of moving any closer. He looked around, and saw Xeno nearby.
"Xeno!" Josh called out. "Anthony won't be able to beat Martin on his own. I need you to carry me over there so I can help him out."

“Well, you don’t really need to apologize or anything, but…” I start to say, before I’m interrupted again. It’s just a little bit annoying that this has happened twice in a row, now, but this time it’s a much more pleasant interruption, considering that this time we’ve found someone who actually has a place for us stay! I greet the young Scraggy with a smile and a wave.

Perfect to the last beat… I think to myself. Why didn’t I think of that one? I softly shrug, deciding that it’s better than having to repeat my speech every time we need an introduction. ‘Perfect to the last beat’ would go great on a business card, actually, if those were actually used anymore. I guess they were just kind of a weird novelty even back then, but hey, it sounds kind of cool to be that one person who presents a business card and be all “I do hope you’ll keep us in min”-

“Oh! Yeah,” I say, Scraps’ compliment tearing me away from my daydreaming, “I guess we kind of exude that aura. Letting us stay at your place for a bit is pretty cool of you, too.” I’m already thinking about how we could personalize the place, or our own, if we ever get one. We could have a huge banner above the entrance, and it would say “Team Crescendo”, but it would be in front of a staff, and all the individual letters would be placed like musical notes. I flip my sketchbook to my notes page and write that idea down, too, so I don’t have to go to the treble of remembering the idea later.

“Gah!” I shout when the sudden attack calls begin to sound throughout the room. “Do-do Pokemon actually do that? Or maybe it’s some sort of rehearsal? For a play or something?” You'd never get to the top by making yourself so obvious, unless it's your ultimate attack, but even then, the only thing you need to do is resist the urge to say "no one could survive that!" and shut up anyone who dares to think of doing the same. The rumbling of my stomach is enough to bring me back to more important matters; food!

“That sounds like a pretty good plan, actually.” I answer, putting my sketchbook and the satchels on an empty bed. After some deliberation, I decide to take my scarf off as well, not wanting to get any food on it. The food probably isn’t going to be as good as anything back home, but I didn’t really walk nearly as much back home, either, so I can probably make do.

Xeno's ear's twitched upon hearing his name, and he turned to see the Josh with his bucket resting beside and unconscious Matt. Somewhat panicked, the sableye dashed over to his teammates on all fours, momentarily ignoring Josh to be sure Matt was alright. He looked alright though, and the Reuniclus' (?) soft breathing revealed that he'd only fallen asleep.

"Anthony is the other squishy one, yeah?" Xeno asked, looking to where the goomy and mudkip were fighting to try and reassure himself. If he was wrong Josh would correct him on the the way, he was sure, and so Xeno moved over to where the Skrelp sat in his bucket. With a quick fit of huffing to prepare himself grabbed the handle with one hand then wrapped his other arm around to the back of the bucket to brace it before he began awkwardly pulling it towards where Anthony was busy fighting. "I wish I was stronger," Xeno huffed, opting to try and half pull, half lift the bucket with both hands on the handle after his first way of moving had proven quite ineffective.

It didn't take terribly long to drag the bucket close to where Anthony and Martin were, the two seeming quite focused on their duel meaning Xeno didn't attract much attention. "Okay, should I help now or-" the sableye began asking, his sentence cut short as he was tackled to the ground by the tyrouge. The two tumbled away a short distance both of them suddenly caught up in trying to grapple the other in an advantageous way.

Kamina

Wow...that Ghastly just licked him...time for pain "How dare you! I will not tolerate this kind of sexual harassment!" Kamina's body ignited again as he rammed into the Ghost Type with another Flame Charge, ignoring the numb feeling where he had been licked. However, this time things went a little different; while his attack still connected, it did a bit extra. Like sending a burning Ghastly into a Solosis. "Huh..." Kamina mused upon seeing the result of his attack "didn't see that coming."

Tini

Tini's eyes started to sparkle "...yes..." his voice was soft, yet carried further then it should have "YES!!!!!" He tightened his hold on the Pancham, although not tight enough to be painful to a Fighting Type. "You're going to live! Do you hear me, live!" The little Dragon was now crying tears of joy "I was so scared. I couldn't stand to watch someone die so young...like I almost did. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get you precious live giving cookies in time. Now I see that we do have time, so much time." Tini continued to sob into Eralion's fur, unaware of anything else going on around him...like say the rest of his team talking about their next super mega awesome adventure. Yeah, he had no idea that conversation was going on.

As Scraps gave their room a final check before closing and locking it, he fitted in an extra answer to Rebecca's questions. "No, not a lot of Pokemon actually shout out their moves; Team Frontline is the only team who bothers to do it. It sounds unnecessary, but one of the other guild members, Kawazu, claimed that move-shouting intimidates or distracts the foe and increases your chi," Scraps explained. "I mean, it does make sense. I tend to yell when I do my kicks and punches."

The whole concept still didn't make a lot of sense to Levita; she wasn't a direct fighter who used her body often, anyway. So she found it appropriate to just comment with: "That's interesting." Once the Scraggy closed the door, the one next to them opened, and Levita was able to get a good look at what seemed to be "Team Frontline". A black paw with red ends emerged from the door, and out came a Zorua and an Aron...with a Fletchling on the Zorua's head. They looked like as if they've just returned from a dungeon mission, though it was likely they were just fighting with each other in the room all this time. "I totally won this time," the Zorua commented smugly; he seemed to have a green armband with a badge, drawn with a symbol of three arrows pointing upwards.

"No, you didn't!" the Fletchling retorted; she had a high pitch in her voice, and gave the Zorua a quick peck on the ear.

"Did – OW! What was that for?" the Zorua whined before glancing at the three in front of them. "Hey there, Scraps. I didn't know you suddenly got popular with the ladies lately. Did you sleep with – OW!"

"Don't mind Ebon here, he's just being a dirty little fox," the Fletchling berated, her wings folding before smiling back to the three. "Oh, congratulations, Scraps. You formed your own exploration team now?"

"Scraps is just lending us the room for a few days," Levita interjected; she couldn't help seeing someone get their facts wrong, and moved in front of the Scraggy to point to herself confidently. "I'm Levita, and she's Rebecca. We're part of Team Crescendo. Perfect to the last beat!"

Ebon found another chance to talk again, and pushed away the Fletchling to get close to Levita and Rebecca, giving them a quiet stare at first. "Team Crescendo?" he repeats, before raising his paw and shaking the two, his attitude changing an entire one-eighty degrees. "Well, it's nice to meet you two! My name is Ebon. Cinder's the Fletchling, Collier's the quiet Aron. We're Team Frontline – always on front, always first." Levita accepted the shake with a blink, looking at the Zorua's two other members; Collier merely answered with a "Hey."

"So, we're neighbors! For now, that is," he continues, pulling on his armband. "And it's dinnertime as well. Mind if we all walk along?"

"Am sad. Not good," I say as I scuttle up to the guild leader's room. "Am not happy. Want quit. Can change?" I ask the annoying one. He stared at me. "Could you say that again?" he asked. "Want change team!" I say, and the guild leader says "Well, I suppose... no one's joined your team so far. So, what team do you want to switch to?" and I look at the list... "Can't see. Blind. Please read?" and he reads off a list of names, getting to a mysterious-sounding one called 'Crest Shen Doe'. "Join that! Chip wants to join that!" and he repeats the strange, oddball name. "Yes. That one," I say, and he writes down my name next to it. "Well, go down to the crew rooms and find them then," the annoying one says, and I scuttle off into the crew rooms. I scuttle around and open a room that had loud bangs and thuds and yelling and asked if this was the right team, but they said no. I open the next room, and ask the people in there "Is this Crest-Shen-Doe?" while staring around. I heard speaking of 'scraps' and 'girls' and 'dinner'. "Dinner?! Food? Mmm. Want lot of food."

I see Bonnie exclaim disbelief of going on another mission right after we finished a mission already, and I head back to the guild, a little angry and confused. "You're the one that was looking at the mission board, so I thought you were ready to go on another one," I say to her as we go back into the guild. Someone mentions dinner, and I walk into the cafeteria and get enough food to fill me up.
