Ever had a moment of an RP that just made you proud for having done it? Well, share!

What have you done that makes you smile now and go "That was a good moment", or "I can't believe I pulled it off." We all have highlights of various RPs.

__________
For example, one of my proudest moments was an attack I successfully staged in an RP with a meeting between two leaders. It was a Naruto RP to be honest, but the attack killed one of the leaders, and the other one literally only just crawled away. It was something planned out for months and months between me and a few other choice players and GM's. At the big reveal, it shocked alot of people who had been apart of the attack IC the entire time. Characters everyone had thought were just weird turned out to have been setting up the attack the entire time. One of the Kage/Leader had an assistant/secretary he claimed to have trusted with his life. That claim did not end well by the end.

Another event I had was using the power of friendship in a fantasy RP and dragging a traitor back to the group he was in AFTER he founded an evil group. The traitor had no intentions of coming back, and his player admitted he didn't expect that to ever happen. My character just wouldn't let him be a villain.

Other achievements, mostly in trolling, that make me proud:

*Giving a character a magic seal and telling him it would make him stronger if he wore it. It blew up.

*Wrecking a Dragon with a teacup. (Makes more sense in context)

*Having someone else's character do a self-destruct attack against a powerless Doppler of the main villain.

*Beating an arc villain with a character in crutches. GM saw it and asked me to keep the crutches.

*Different Naruto RP- Riding the Eight-tails Beast like a Rodeo with a Chunnin.

In this one NRP my nation happened to be a major exporter of high-tech waste disposal and fabrication products based off of energy-matter conversion. The Earth became uninhabitable due to the one-two punch of an antiproton attack that destroyed a quarter of Africa and two nanoviruses. The UN met on an orbital station to discuss what to do, when terrorists attacked (Not one UN meeting happened in this RP without a terrorist attack). Well, these same waste disposal and fabrication devices were used by my nation as teleporters. A fleet came in to stop the terrorists, but the UN delegates were in danger. Leading them to a trash can, my delegate told them to all jump in while he hacked the station network to let the teleporters on the starships connect to it. Everyone got away safely.

Then there was the time that the reapers were invading in the precursor to my current NRP (We liked references, okay?). My humans were desperately trying to hold them off with the other species, but they were running out of ammo quickly. When their ammo was all spent, the entire fleet burned as hard as possible for the reapers, launching escape pods on the way. Those escape pods also burned as hard as possible for the reapers. The Reapers didn't have a fun day.

But what I'm most proud of?

The international dick measuring that took place in that one Roleplayer's Resort all that time ago.

An entire nation's starfleet came to a random island to put on a lightshow and prove how much more awesome they were than another nation's.

Then the artificial moon came down and did the same thing.

I'm not sure how proud I should be of it, but years ago, like a month after I first started RPing, I, for one reason or another, decided to make an RP based on the Where's Waldo? books... I'd wager someone had already come up with the idea that I was working it around though. It was basically a man-hunt roleplay, with Waldo being a globally infamous criminal/terrorist recently escaped from confinement. One person took on the Waldo role while the rest of the players played representatives from various real and fictitious agencies working to track him down (and ultimately kill him, probably). That notwithstanding, it pretty much shaped up in a way that would have made it a good parody RP.

The idea had hit me late at night/early in the morning; that hour where I was so tired that pretty much anything that I came up with that wasn't totally serious (and I honestly didn't think that it'd ever pick up any sort of interest) just seemed hilarious. I laughed so hard, and for so long, that I actually had to leave my room so I wouldn't wake my roommate. I think I spent like forty-five minutes laughing at myself and what I had posted. To my surprise, the next few days saw decent interest from that site's RPing community. The role of Waldo was even taken up by the best possible person for the role at that time.

Sadly, like most RPs, it didn't quite make it to its prime. I'd definitely try it again, with more emphasis on it being more of a parody, even if just for the s-and-g.

I have written enough for a single RP to compile an entire novel series.

Heh, Roleplayer's resorts are great like that. I flooded one with goats and we all ended the thing with a rap battle.

My achievements probably come down to having developed from a nooblet making gamey decisions to writing storylines that have some complexity to them, go somewhere, and have some substance too them. I've managed to develop a writing style that is actually readable.

But the most notable RP achievement I have, I think, is that I have completed a full story arc. Not a small arc, but rather a full sized 50k word plus story about the rebellion of an African warlord and the civil war that follows. That took me... two years, I think? But finishing that was a pretty satisfying accomplishment.

Playing as a Son of Hermes who was picked up last, ends up leading two higher grade god kids and one Aphrodite kid, is the only one who's entire crew actually survived into the end, saved one of the kids single handedly from inside a casino/hotel packed with ghouls and monsters using only his sword and soda machine, and fought a time warping son of juno to a draw all in one roleplay with the only special ability he had been stealth and deceit...which he hardly if ever used preferring his swordsmanship skills over all.

One of the best things I ever did in an RP was have my character accidentally kill them self out of the blue. Me and a mate got bored of this one particular plane-crash survival RP, and so we thought we'd do what would probably actually happen if a bunch of high school kids got stranded on a desert island and both killed ourselves by falling off of a cliff.

That and Feral, an RP I was part of for like 5 years. It's still going technically, but my character got killed in fight with group's leader, once again, playing out what would actually happen when you have a violent killer who's getting progressively more unstable amongst your ranks.

As far as me, I've been in exactly one RP that actually ended and didn't die, and I was so proud of it. Half the genetically-modified creatures got blown up to destroy the lab where they'd been experimented on. It was epic and gory and glorious and heart-wrenching.
The sequel, unfortunately, was all downhill. A blind, deaf eight-year-old died of an infected gut wound; her twelve- and nine-year-old sisters were killed by a crazy psychopathic murderer who was also half-creature, leaving behind a six-and-a-half year old sister who went crazy from the loss. Then another went crazy from losing the only other bird-girl, the GM's ghost (since her character had been killed in the explosion and she didn't make a new one) drove half of the others insane and the other RPers entirely lost interest because of how dark the storyline became.

@RomanAria ....yikes, dude. Any reason for the shift in tone?

On-topic, I have a couple of accomplishments - mostly in successfully managing rps for others, and in one instance able to keep track and tally of dozens of characters and say who needed to post and what they needed to respond to. Considering it was quite a chaotic battle, I'm quite proud.

On an actual rp note, I made a villain character for a rp. He ran pretty much a mercenary organization, granted powers and wishes in return for what amounted to indentured servitude. Despite making a limited number of appearances (his subordinates each got more screentime than he did), he gave some of my rp buddies nightmares. Considering we were all fairly accepting about things like torture, gore, and body horror in our rps, it wasn't easy.
My other rp accomplishment requires some knowledge of Digimon to understand but to make a long story short - I took Nohemon, a rather undeveloped and weak digimon, and turned her into a tactician who could fairly go toe-to-toe with some of the most competent and the most powerplay-y battlers in the digimon rp group. Alas, her distaste for humans got her pushed into villain status.

I posted a 8,000 word post. I'll just put the official stats from Wordcounter.net because I feel I deserve a cookie at least.

8,191 words, 45,019 characters. 612 sentences, 214 paragraphs.
Most used words:
the, he, and, his, to, of, in, it, was, as

And according to Wordcount.net it's a 11th-12th grade reading level.

My achievments...

well, one graduating from a short 1-sentence post to around a paragraph or three posts.

And one being able to make my own roleplaying worlds- though none of them are far from over as I seek IMPROVEMENT!

One roleplay that I'm still doing is going to hit three years old this October.

And the one I'm most proud of is the death of my character, Clair, whom found out her wife was cheating on her- drank herself to death after a bout of rage, crying and curses.

As Dr.Richtofen said "I take your pain... I put my straw in it! *slurping sounds* And I DRINK IT UP!"

Oh, wow, congrats on the 3 year RP, we all aim for RP's that long lived.

I know a couple of mine I was super proud of for hitting that long. It's really interesting to look at how a character changes in that time too. Like try comparing a post from them at the beginning, and a post from them at the end.

I had one character completely change in a 4 year one. At the beginning he was innocent, and was a loyal 'repay my debt' character. He refused to hurt anyone, and was completely loyal, and didn't question things. Yeah... he changed a little bit. He became a leader of a large village, and became a lethal pragmatist, who wasn't the strongest character in the RP, but was by far the smartest. His loyalty was still centerpart of his character, but everything around it changed. He went from nobody to one of the central characters. It was an interesting trip with that character.

I guess the accomplishment was the things that slowly changed the character. He didn't change overnight, it was slowly, 15-20 years IC, and I'm proud of the development. Wasn't my roleplay, though I did highjack the seat of Head-GM for a month.

I had Gipsy Danger engage in a fist fight with the Colossal Titan. The inner 5-year old me whom grew up on Power Ranger giant robot/monster battles was screaming with joy.

Another fun instance? I had not one but two of my OCs kick the living crap out of the Fairy King Oberon from Sword Art Online....I didn't accomplish anything big with developing my ability as a writer or such...it just felt so goooood to do that :)
