"Glad to hear it, somebody has to keep you in check." Jade countered, leading Jack out into the hallway where she could stand between him and the door leading to Mocha. Hearing more whimpers from behind her, Jade glanced over her shoulder at the sound of her name. "Jade's not what?" She asked, looking from Mocha to Okori then back again. "A dragon?" Jade chuckled and shook her head. "If I were a dragon, I'd probably have dissected myself decades ago." She waved her hand dismissively, understanding the confusion. "I guess you could consider the Gargoyles to be a cousin species of sorts. Similar knacks for language and interests in obtaining knowledge, however our nature differs slightly." Jade said, her simple answer turning into more of a class lecture than a reassurance. "It's true that Gargoyles hunt for prey... But those are primarily the males, and hunts are less common these days. We can just buy meat at the grocery stores. We spend most of our time in libraries and various archives, depending on personal interests..." Jade opened her mouth to say something else but realized that her current audience might not care about the extensive history of her species.

"Sorry, I got a little carried away. Long answer short, no Mocha, I'm not going to eat you."

Mocha nodded a bit shakily, glad to hear that she probably wasn't going to become a meal for at least one of her companions.
Of course, she somehow doubted that Zack would eat her either, all things considered. She couldn't tell whether or not she could trust Okori just yet, though the speech probably had to mean something.

...Of course, Coco had thought similar things...

She shivered as she remembered her brother again, before attempting to rise to her feet. She still felt a bit unsteady, but at least she had some slight reassurance. "I...I think we should try t-to find the...the body. O-or where it's supposed to have gone." Looking around the room one more time, she regretted the mess that had been made of it. If there were any important clues in here, they probably didn't have much chance to find or use them now. "I'm sorry. I m-messed up whatever m-might have been here..."

Jack started to laugh "Libraries? Oh right you sit on the top and look menacing right?" He quipped, laughing. His tone got more serious as the rabbit girl started to talk about the body...the one he tried to find before losing his santiy. "Rabbit girl is right, we should find that mystery body, and have no fear, I have an acute sense of smell." He said about to sniff, the stopping himself. "Actually I will pass since my sniffer has gotten me in quite a bit of trouble lately." He said, gently taking the girls hands off his ear. He massaged his ear because it was sore. "You have got quite the grip too" He told Jade smiling.

Okori was getting Dizzy, but he managed to speak up a little bit, but not much. "Let's look for the culprit" He began walking out the melted door, when he tripped on the doorknob. He grabbed unto the doorframe when he was about to hit the floor. Something was draining his energy, yet he didn't know quite what was doing this. He sighed as he walked out the door. 'Don't tell me the sword is draining my power...But I haven't used it in Centuries, It's in my pocket dimension...' "You guys go ahead of me...If you need any help or anything light a fire." Okori sat down on the floor.

Despite the fact that she still felt some fear toward him, Mocha couldn't help feeling a bit worried when she saw Okori trip. Hesitantly, she made her way at least a little closer, taking care to stay as far from the dragon Jade had subdued as possible. "A-are you alright? You're not looking too good again..." She stopped a little ways away. "A-anyways, we can't e-exactly make fires inside a house, can we? U-unless we use a fireplace, I guess, but..."

Zack finally caught up to the group. Everyone seemed to be alright. "I think we need to get organized. "We are never going to figure this out if we don't work together. This house is huge and obviously full of traps. I think we need to slit up into pairs or a couple of small groups. The house is too big for us all to stay together."

"I take slight offense to that comment." Jade smirked at Jack's reference to their creature forms from the old days, not at all insulted by it. She turned her gaze to the rest of the group, bowing her head in thought. "I agree, splitting up would be beneficial to covering more ground. However, with the place being so big, we should establish a meeting place and time to relay any information we might have found while separated." She added, scanning the members standing before her. "Since we don't have enough for even pairs, it'll be a single pair and a group of three. I'll take dragon-boy with me to keep him out of trouble." Jade planted her hands on her hips in a way that made her statement sound more final.

Jack jumped up, ready to do some actual work. "Ok me and Jade will take the dark scary part of the house since our vision is good in the dark. Rabbit girl and Okori should go take a nap with their blankies so they can be weaklings together." He snapped, snickering at the last bit. Jack peeked down the dark hall, and looked around, being able to see everything in it with clear definition. He walked past Okori who was losing energy fast. "Should of had a V-8" He whispered, chuckling as he walked by.

Okori chuckled at Jack's remark. 'Oh He has no Idea what I am capable of doing, soon I'll be growing my Ninth Tail..and that is when the fun truly begins.' Okori looked at Jack. "How Weak you are. Falling for a 3rd Rate Illusion like that." Okori stood up. It appeared that the sword was done with it's snack. Okori was also laughing in his mind. 'Now he thinks he is superior huh?' He looked at Jack with challenging eyes, like if he was saying come and get me. He sighed at the Iq of some people. He looked at Mocha. "Im Okay now, thanks. Anyways, we should probably get moving. The more we wait, the harder it will be for us to catch the culprit. Me and Mocha will check the first floor and the outside of the Mansion. Jack can go and fetch his little snack along with Jade., and Jade, please don't let him burn anything please." Okori said as he began to walk out of the room.

Mocha flinched and looked away at the dragon's comment, wrapping her arms around herself. Of course, someone who had just tried to eat her wouldn't understand her fear. It was probably amusing to him. It seemed like it was to many other people, so she had accepted it and learned to get used to it long ago.

It still hurt, though. That probably wouldn't stop.

As the others made plans for how they wanted to split up, she looked back up with some apprehension. "W-wait, I..." The girl glanced around at the others, unsure of how to actually express her concerns with the arrangement. Eventually, she looked over to Zack for help, hoping that he might understand the issue.

"Don't worry Mocha. I won't let anyone eat you. There's plenty of other things they can eat." Zack offered trying to be reassuring. Mocha was really in a bad situation. He wasn't sure that he could pritect her if the need arose. After all he didn't have anything that impressive in his box of tricks. But hem was pretty sure that he could handle the fox.

Jade frowned at the back of Jake's head, resisting the urge to slap him around for the lack of his manners. "I'll certainly try my best, I can't make any promises though." She replied to Okori, glancing at the concerned Mocha. "You should be relieved by our separation, it does put some distance between you and Puff the magic dragon over here." Jade winked then turned down the path, jogging forward a few paces before falling into step beside the troublemaker.

Jack continued down the dark hallway peering inside some of the rooms. He glanced to Jade "We can hold hands if your scared" He offered, cracking a smile. He turned into one of the guest bedrooms, finding the sheets all nice and tidy. He went through the place, pulling out clothes from the dressers, and went into the closet, scourging around. "I believe I should be able to take a whiff of some of this stuff now that some distance is between me and Rabbit girl." He whispered, taking in breath through his nose. He instantly sneezed, spewing out fire onto the clothes. Jack chuckled and came strolled toward the bathroom. "Oooh I could use a good bath, need to wash off this grime of the day" He chirped digging through the cabinets in the bathroom.

Jade sighed, beginning to realize what she had gotten herself into. She followed him silently, peeking into rooms after Jack to be sure he didn't miss anything important. It didn't take long before he managed to catch something on fire, Jade stamping the embers out before they could grow into anything dangerous. "I didn't think dragons were big on water. Is that a misconception or is that the human part of you?" She asked curiously, not bothering to hide her interest in the rare specimen she had chosen to babysit.

Jade did have a point; it would probably be safer if there was some distance between her and the dragon. And at least she wasn't completely alone with the fox in case he decided to suddenly turn, too. Acknowledging the decision, she nodded a bit slowly, waiting for the other two to make their way down the hall before actually leaving the room and making her way toward the stairs. "I-I guess we should g-go, then."

Jack found some hairspray, and grinned spraying it toward the wall, and shooting a stream of fire out of his mouth. He let go of the trigger and put the bottle down, no damage being done. "Well no, a dragon is basically a big lizard with wings. Now I believe you get the misconception from the fact that fire comes out of the dragons mouth. Well indeed it does, but the outside of the dragons body does not constitute what kind of element that the dragon represents, whether that be fire, ice, water. Dragons can swim and go in the water, no problem. Now certain dragons can be immune to fire, but not all are. I kind of got off track but to answer it plainly, no, dragons have no problem with the water. It does dull the effects of their fire breathing for a short time though" He said. He continued out of the bathroom and grabbed her hand lightly, gently pulling her to the next room so he didn't get eaten for trying to yank her. "So about your species..You all like literature, or are some of you non-fiction and others fiction readers?" He asked giggling. He scanned the room ready to turn this upside down to find whoever it is they are looking for.

"Interesting. I'll have to add that to my archives when I get back home." Jade noted, allowing herself to be lead along to the next room. "What you call literature, we call archives. All books are records of customs and legends, histories and personal records." Her eyes shone with excitement, her memory brimming with various stories she's read over the years. "Sorry, I've gotten off topic as well. To answer your question, yes, different people enjoy different subjects. Personally I'm a fan of science fiction and fantasy, I really think the mundies are on to something with their dreams of the future and alternate realities. But you'll find others of my kind who are interested a particular nation's history or folklores." She paused, lost in thought for a moment before continuing. "But then there are those who are less interested in the written archives and more interested in the sculptures or architectures of the past. We're all very unique." She nodded to herself, placing her palm on the wall of the room.

Jack let go of her hand and continued the search, throwing clothes behind him as he plundered the dresser. He sneezed fire as the dust messed with his lungs. He finished looking through the dresser and looked under the bed. All he found under the bed was more dust, which was followed by a sneeze. Unfortunately the bed caught fire from it and Jack patted the spot, not bothered by the flames. The flames went out, and he went to the bathroom once again finding nothing but appliances. His hand a little smokey from the flames, he did a quick look again to try and find something. He took in a whiff through his nose, and did not smell anything out of the ordinary. Jack looked back at Jade "You know we should check out the library. Your interested in books, and can gain some knowledge, possibly history on this place, or who owns it." He suggested. He whipped his wings, the dust flying backwards toward the bed. "Don't worry the cleaning ladies will get it...whenever they get here" He said, walking up to Jade.

Zack nodded. He didnt know where to go though. They needed a map or something. "I think we should try to find an office or library. I dont know about the rest of you but I need a map. Especially since there are hidden passage ways.

Okori had sat down on the floor. He was meditating, attempting to find where the culprit had gone. If he already hadan escape route, then he must know the whole place inside and out. Therefore it had to be one of the staff or a contracted mercenary to make the game more interesting. "The Maps won't help us if there are hidden passageways, that's why they are hidden. I suggest we look on the first floor, since we've been here for a long time, I guess that he has already left the second floor. He must be either a Mercenary or a Member of the staff. He knew where to hide rhe body right? Well then, May I hear your Opinions?"
