@Kronshi "Only the book of the dead." She said in a gloomy tone. "Its over hundreds of years old."

"Trickster, huh?" Jacque cocks his head a bit to the side, his left brow raised as he digests Renria's words. She hadn't said yes to his offer, however she also hadn't exactly said no. Jacque leans down a bit with a somewhat crooked smirk made slightly menacing by his scars "Well, Renria was it? There's gotta be a few places even you can't take folks simply due to the risks. A shame t'miss out on all that potential cash to be made, ain't it? Perhaps we could work somethin' out here if you're willing to listen to my proposition.". The dhampir may not have been the smartest man to grace the planet, but he knew when there was coin to be made. This halfling before him would definitely be a good source of income if he could sway her.

Renria acted disinterested in the man's proposition, but in her head she was running the numbers.
"A cooperation might not be the worst idea. Wouldn't exactly be efficient though if guiding a small party. Sharing the profits, more expenses, you know. If we were to locate, somehow, a large party of interested members, though, it could be very profitable for us both. Perhaps if we told them the old legend of the "treasure" that was buried near here. Just something to consider."

Ashadon looked over the confusing writing, "Oh, Well have fun with that." He walked over to the bard, "You making up stories about treasure again, last time you did that you really pissed off some hunters and their 10 dogs."

"I'm sure I can find a way to get a higher payout." Jacque says as he begins nonchalantly examining his fingernails, "I find people'll pay anything if they don't have any other options available. For example, say if tomorrow every other person that ran a guiding service happened to have a series of unfortunate "mishaps" that forced them to retire. They can't exactly threaten to go to the competition if the competition somehow shattered both legs in a terrible horse related accident.". Jacque looks over his hand and gives Renria a crooked grin in case his words don't already imply what he has suggested. The sudden appearance of Ashadon, paired with the words he speaks causes Jacque to shoot Renria a perplexed look, "I had my doubts about that giant slaying song. Never figured you'd embellish that much.".

"Well, wouldn't that be interesting." Renria grinned as well. "And me? Embellish? Never! That story just happened to be about another time."

Suddenly, amongst the happiness of the festivities, smoke fills the tavern and screams can be heard outside. Parts of the wall burst in flames and goblin shouts and laughs can be heard from outside.

-Ashadon stands up and unsheathes his greatsword, "Fuck, I thought there weren't any goblins near here."

Jacque grimaces as he hears the chaos outside and pops his knuckles, "Goblins...isn't that just fucking lovely." he growls as he moves away from the spreading flames of the tavern wall. He can feel his headache starting to return after he paid good money to have it soothed. The damper exits the tavern and looks around at the havoc being wrought by the goblin and snarls loudly in challenge. He intends to beat any goblin that comes his way to death, but not for the sake of the town. His reasons for wanting to beat the goblins to death come down to two simple things: they made his headache return, and they may have something of value on them since goblins are wont to loot things.

A large flaming beam falls from the roof and crushes Raven, Renria, and Zargo killing them instantly.

10 goblins rush forward brandishing shortwords and makeshift wooden shields and start swinging at Jacque and Ashadon
