The former gladiator watched her as she dropped a necklace around his neck. He didn't understand Latin only Celtic he wasn't good at learning other languages so he didn't even try. Tucking the chain and charm under the leather tunic, he looked at lulia's retreating form a sigh escaped him. "I'll return by the ancestors I will."

With that he mounted his own horse, getting it in a gallop toward the roman city. He was going to get Alexius out of there, that man didn't belong down there neither he or Alexius did.

As soon as Aiden was out of sight, Iulia leaned against a rock and cried for a while. Her horse nose-butted her until she looked up, cursing herself and her feminine weakness. She hurried around, gathering more fuel for the fire (mostly dead bushes and grasses, since there weren't many trees) When she'd gotten a huge pile of fuel gathered, she bit back a smile. She knew what she'd do while Aiden was gone. With all the deerskins from what they'd hunted, they each had a nice bed, but they still had to lay on the dusty ground.
In some places the grass was longer than she was tall. She gathered the widest blades of it that she could find, bringing back bundles and bundles in her arms. Her horse tried to eat it, until Iulia gave her a sugar cube. Then she set to work, laying out a framework of the really long grass and pinning it in place with rocks. She took the rest of the grass and started to weave it tightly through the other strands. Like weaving cotton on a loom except much bigger.
The result, two hours later, was an enormous, cushy sheet of grass. Iulia dragged it to where they usually slept and laid it down, piling the hides back on top of it. As an experiment she sat down on it, giggling, because she couldn't feel the pebbles under her like she usually could. She was rather shocked the idea had actually worked.
She looked up at the sun, frowning. She should probably go check and reset the fishing traps and the snares. Mounting her horse... Aura. She decided to call the horse Aura after the goddess of the dawn, because the horse did rather look the part, with a golden coat and a snow-white mane and tail. She mounted Aura, clicking her tongue as she gently guided the horse up the game trail they used when headed to check the fishing traps.

Aiden pulled up the hood he had made with the leather tunic, riding through the plains. The roman city came into view after a few hours of riding, getting off the horse he led her to a stable to where the person there could take care of her. With that he made his way toward the colosseum, people would look at him every now and then but he didn't attract attention.

Looking toward the area, where the stairs led down to the dungeon under the arena. Guards were at ready, frowning slightly. This would be harder than he had first thought, a sigh escaped his lips before he brought his hood down. Not many people would recognize the Celt, with that he looked at his options.

The best one he knew was to take out the guards, with that he ran forward hitting them both in the chest. Before kicking them in the head, grabbing the keys and opening the door. Going to the dungeon, he made his way toward Alexius's cell but froze when he saw the princess there.

Aeliana quickly bolted to her feet. "Mei dei!" she whispered, her hand going over her heart. She'd been caught... just like that.
Only... The man didn't walk purposefully like a Roman guard would. He looked rather hunched and kept looking over his shoulder. And from what she could see of his skin he was too dark to be one of the guards, not to mention too muscular. Which meant...
"Virum Celtae es?" You are the Celtic man? "Iulia, mei soror... Ubi est?" Julia, my sister, where is she? But then thinking, for surely the man would be here for his friend, she stood on tiptoe to get the keys off of their hook high on the wall. She passed them to the Celtic man, smiling. "I won't turn you in. As long as you let me come with you, because it will be the death penalty for me if another slave escapes when I was down here." She raised her hands in a gesture of surrender, not entirely sure that the man would understand. But she hoped he would.

Aiden just watched, words in Latin reached his ears. Though he didn't understand, them catching the keys looking back up at her. Seeing her hands up in surrender, before casting a look over his shoulder. Before walking forward he straightened some, he wasn't hunched over anymore. He saw Alexius's eyes widen at the sight of him.

Throwing a hidden bundle to the man a deerskin tunic with trousers and some boots. He turned the princess around so the man could change. He heard a grunt, turning seeing the man in clothes that fit him he nodded his head toward the exit.

Knowing the princess wouldn't understand him, he nodded his head toward the exit. He ran forward stopping at a corner hearing voices. He rounded the corner, punching the first guard in the face and winding the other before knocking them out. Getting to the surface, he made his way through the city through the alley ways back to the stables asking the man for another horse as he gave him his.

Aelia panicked, seeing what awaited her. "Minerva save me." She muttered, trying to figure out how to get up onto the beast. It turned large, inquisitive brown eyes on her, and she stumbled back in panic. "Oh, my gods oh my gods no I don't want to do this."
~~
Iulia absently looked at the sky. She'd built the fire up as high as she dared, since it was rather chilly as the sun went down. She didn't plan on sleeping, not when there were wild creatures around. Just in case she had her sling ready to go with the smoothest, roundest rocks she could find. Having reset the traps, cut the meat into strips and left it over the fire to dry, and prepared the hides, she was more or less out of chores to do. So she did the next best thing, praying to all her gods to bring Aiden back safely.

Aiden watched as she panicked with the horse, putting his hand on the horses muzzle letting him know no harm would come to him. With that he grabbed Aelia, swinging himself onto the horse with the princess in front of him. Watching as Alexius got his horse into a gallop before following behind.

He pulled forward, hitting the plains. He got his horse to a full gallop, looking over his shoulder as he saw the roman city get smaller and smaller in the distance it would take a few hours to get back to the main camp site him and lulia had set up.

Aelia yelped as the gladiator picked her up. She nearly fainted from both terror (Oh my gods I'm going to fall off!) and anger (How DARE he touch a princess of Rome like that?!) but forced herself to stay at least somewhat alert. Aeli, if you didn't faint when your father cast you out of society and had you flogged bloody, you can't faint on a horseback ride.
Iulia heard a commotion from outside the camp, rather like hoofbeats. But there were two sets, not just one.... She dropped into a crouch, her sling dangling ready-to-throw from her hand, another stone ready-to-go in her other hand.

Aiden saw the camp sight come into sight, he searched for any sign of lulia no sign she must've went scouting or something. He stopped his horse, "come on lulia no need to hide from me it's just me I guess I did bring your sister but I couldn't leave her to die oh and I got Alexius out come on out." His voice rang out around the camp sight.

He looked around, it looked like she was busy while he was gone with everything he saw.

"Oh. Whoops." Iulia popped up from inside a bush that was less than five meters away from the party that had just returned. She tucked the sling-stones back into the pouch on her belt. Raising an eyebrow at the sheer number of people. One had left and three had come back. "I guess it's just as well that I was in the process of making a second sleeping mat." She reached her hands up to help Aeliana down from the horse. "Aeli, I missed you." she said, trying not to betray any emotions.
Her sister wasn't so diplomatic. The instant her feet touched the ground she flung herself at Iulia, giving her sister a bear hug. "Oh my gods, Iulia, I'm so sorry. I was so vile to you because I thought that you were ungrateful to our father and disrespectful to our empire. I thought he'd do no wrong. Well..." Her smile trembled and tears welled up in her eyes. "I was wrong. And I'm sorry. And I know I was horrible to you and you'll probably never forgive me. But..."
"You're an idiot, because I already have forgiven you. What did Father have done to you?" Iulia asked, from a purely clinical standpoint, as she hugged her sister back.
"He disowned me as a citizen, had me flogged, and sold me as a slave to Aemilia's family." She answered so matter-of-factly that Iulia had to take a step back. "The wounds are healed, if that's what you're looking for." Aeliana gave her sister a wry smile.
"And what about you, Alexius?" Iulia asked the darker man. "Do you need any medical attentions?"

Alexius looked at Aiden and raised a brow at the Celt who shrugged. "No I don't but thank you for asking so what now?" Aiden looked at the group, well we've been following the hers through the plains. There our Warner's since they start running whenever someone gets close to them." Alexius nodded some, the Celt went to go and tend to the horses unsaddling them and letting them roam free.

"In the mean time you guys can help yourselves to the hare and to the bread-thingies." Iulia said. About two weeks ago she'd discovered that one of the long grasses, when it's seeds were soaked in water and then baked on flat rocks in the fire, made crunchy things that tasted rather like bread. She went back to her weaving project, the other mattress, like nothing had happened.

Aiden watched the horses, for sometime watching them graze. They were wild, but they could still be tamed then sent back out like nothing happened. He missed the clans, but he would settle for this anytime. Though no one really bothered him, he just watched them getting flashes of the fight when he was younger. Though it didn't affect him anymore like it used to.

Sighing slightly, this is what calmed him down most of the time just to watch the horses graze. Horses were like humans in a way intelligent beasts, on four legs too that's what the celts thought of them anyway he didn't know what other people thought of them.
