No. That's what he did, speaking to his motivations. Nice dodge, though.

There's a reason you checked him out on Facebook. Personal vanity, bizarre curiosity, see what the other side of the fence looks like...etc.

Yowch. Kitty's got claws.

I'm friends with many work friends on facebook. Whenever I get a new friend request I always check to make sure I know who they are by taking a quick look at their profile. Even if I recognize the name right away. People make fake facebooks all the time. In addition, I didn't know the guy's last name. There are many people with the name "Chris," so I wanted to make sure I knew who this particular one was before accepting the request.

I've been getting a bit of backlash about this thread. I didn't make it because of vanity/bragging/bitchiness, or whatnot. I made it because it was a silly thing that happened to me, and getting propositioned for a date in the workplace isn't really advisable (even though I know it has worked for some people *coughHolmescough*. Spam is a place for silly things (and bitching at people for posting silly things).

II probably would have checked the page out too. Then again, as I've learned on FB and sites probably unmentionable here, checking out a page before accepting/adding someone is the best policy.

Also. Taaj. He wanted dem cakes doe.

Having co-workers on your facebook isn't too advisable, either. Office gossip gets back to the boss real quick.

I don't post anything terribly unsavory.

Except privacy allows the tagged person to not have anything show up on their timeline without consent. And honestly, I work in a warehouse. Everyone does weird shit when they're not on their shift. I'm probably the least of any supervisor's worries. You might have a point if I were a schoolteacher or an administrator for a clean-cut company but... I'm not.

I guess I just don't like people up in my business, co-workers or otherwise. If I want them to know, I'll tell then directly. Thus no facespace.

Yup. I don't do social networking for that same reason. I used to have a myspace back in the day, but it just annoyed me.

I got no interest in having a blog who's followers include coworkers, friends, and my grandma. Fuck dat noise.

People who reject Facebook just puzzle me. Do you not want a handy, centralized hub to organize your social life? If I had to manually talk to every friend whenever I want to ask if someone can help me with something, or to invite them to a party, I'd spend way too much time every day getting that stuff done.

The data mining and inane comments/status updates/share or your nipples fall off posts drove me away from Facebook, but after seeing the cesspool that most social media sites are, and the fact that Facebook's closest analogue, Google Plus, is an abortion of software programming, I'd have to say Facebook's pretty tolerable.

Facebook is fine if you limit who you add. I didn't. But I don't really care. The drama amuses me to no end.
