"W-well...why can't we just take a map and mark the passageways as we go? It won't help us find them, but that's just part of the detective work anyway, right?" Mocha stopped and looked back up the stairs when she noticed that none if the others were actually moving yet. "A-and if we consider any or all of the staff as possible suspects, then p-perhaps we should look for the servants' quarters. Especially a-an office for whoever is in ch-charge of the rest. A head housekeeper or butler would probably have a list of all the employees." She started playing with one of her ears, thinking the situation through a bit more. Now that she really had time to focus on it, it seemed a bit strange that they hadn't run into more of the house staff since the beginning of the dinner. Not even the butler who had shown them in had made another appearance.

"Um...also, we should really try to avoid messing up any other rooms we find, I think. We could contaminate a part of the crime scene a-and maybe end up missing some important information by doing so...perhaps..."

"Just because someone else is going to clean it up doesn't mean you should go around messing with things anyway. Besides, these rooms don't get much TLC, there's dust everywhere." Jade frowned but nodded at Jack's suggestion to find the library. "A library or a personal study. If we can find the room the previous master of the house lived in we might be able to find some juicy secrets about the house or staff. A list of workers, expense reports... Something that might give us a peek into the workings of the house." Pausing for a moment in the hallway, Jade closed her eyes and cleared her mind in an attempt to feel out the knowledge (as if it were actually tangible like a scent). Turning, eyes still shut, Jade began walking in the direction she thought sounded the most useful.

Jack watched Jade walk into the hallway and close her eyes, and then proceeded to stand there. Jack was trying to stifle a laugh, and then she moved down the hall. Jack chuckled and walked behind her. "With a place like this, I would be surprised if there wasn't a library." He commented looking around the place. Jack, as much as he disliked the meal they were served, was very impressed with this house. He never imagined he would be in a place like this. He wondered what the others were up to..maybe that rabbit girl took his advice and hid in a corner. Jack smirked at this, his mouth watering at the thought. He brought himself under control, continuing to follow Jade.

"It honestly depends on the masters of the house and the local history. There could have been a library at some point that was destroyed for one of numerous reasons or the original owner had no desire for one. I certainly hope there is one though... Books are incredibly good at keeping secrets." She smiled as she opened her eyes, turning down another hallway. "Just keep your nose to the air and let me know if you smell anything different."

Jack smelled the air, coughing a bit. "I smell something...something salty. It usually represents Easter. Its furry and delicous!" He exclaimed, chuckling. They walked around for about 10 more seconds and Jack spotted the library. He shot himself forward with his wings in a powerful thrust and crashed through the doors, sounding like the doors were about to come off the hinges. "Horray! Knowledge!" The library was a 3 story room, and shaped in a circle. There were ladders so you could climb up to get books higher up on each floor. Jack flew around the library glad he could finally stretch out his wings. He soared through the air and spun around, his troubles forgotten. Why don't we research the best methods to prepare rabbit stew? The dragon part of him said. "No, stop talking!" hissed. He flew low to the ground laughing acting like a plane landing, then pivoted upward and soared to the ceiling. This was much better than walking a dark hallway.

Turning back around to start down the stairs again, Mocha stopped for a moment as a sudden, slightly squeaky sneeze shocked her. "Ah...is it the dust...? I hope it's not a cold...there's a weird chill, too..." She reached back to pull the short cloak she wore around her a bit, realizing that she must have forgotten to take it off when she entered the house. I hope I didn't seem rude...

"I agree with the idea of finding a list of employees. There could be only a couple or dozens. We need to know who to interview. I haven't seen any staff since the soup was served. Where did they all go?" Zack asked the others. He doubted that they knew the answer better than he did. "How about we divid the house? One house starts at the top. The other in the basement. We can met in the middle?

"Chill out, you're going to end up knocking something important over." Jade shook her head and entered the library, ignoring the excited dragon. She inhaled the musky scent of old leather-bound books, a gentle smile taking over her features. This is what home felt like to her, her strengths in the house. "Alright." She said, after taking a minute to admire the scenery. "Help me find construction plans for the house and maybe a personal journal if you can." Jade called out, stepping forward to start scanning the bookshelves. "Oh, and if you set fire to anything in this room, so help me I will end your life in less than a heart beat." The glare she shot Jack was hotter than any dragon fire, her protectiveness over books clearly more serious than that of Mocha and the other two.

Okori nodded at Zack's plan. Divide and Conquer as they say. He then looked at the Ceiling. Something was definetly wrong. Wouldn't the Butler have gone to them in case something happened, and what about the Maids? Weren't they supposed to help around the house, yet they haven't seen a single maid. Okori scratched his chin. He had the answer at the tip of his tounge, all he needed was to piece everything together. The Body was found in a room where they didn't even know existed. The Murder weapon.. "Before we go....Zack, when you were up there, did you find the murder weapon or anything with blood on it?" All Okori needed was the dammed Murder Weapon, and he would be able to sniff out the culprit.

Zack shook his head. "Im sorry but no. I didn't see anything that looked like it could be a murder weapon. Nor did a see anything with blood on it. Other then the floor. I assumed that murder too it him. With so many of us having heightened senses I figured that the murder wouldn't want to risk any of us finding it." He understood what Okori was thinking.

As much as she disliked the idea of splitting up again, Mocha agreed that Zack did have a point. "You know, maybe one of us should go back to that room where we think the murder took place...even if the weapon is gone, there might still be other clues left there...a-and we didn't get that much of a chance to look last time, either, right?"

Okori thought about Mocha's Idea and agreed with it. As they say, the criminal always goes back to the scene of the crime, which in fact is a misunderstood concept. Okori scratched his cheek. He believed he was missing something. There was that one piece that didn't fit in the puzzle. He sighed. He began to walk towards the crime scene, signalilng them to come if they wanted to.

Jack landed next to her and gulped. "Okey capi-tan" He said giving her a mock salute. He looked around the library searching for construction plans, possibly blueprints. He raised an eyebrow thinking why the owner would keep blue prints to his house in the library. He concluded that the owner probably would put them somewhere safe, maybe in an office of sorts in the library. Jack scanned the room and spotted what he was looking for. He threw the door open and jumped in filing through cabinets, and the main desk. After finding nothing but some pencils and gum, he went over to the last file cabinet. He saw that on the front it read 'Blueprints'. Jack chuckled and pulled it open, finding all the blueprints they would need. He grabbed them and bolted out, spreading them out on some of the tables that were there.

A bit hesitantly at first, Mocha began to follow Okori down the hall she remembered having fled down not too long ago. Hopefully there wouldn't be any repeats of such an incident any time in the near future. With that thought, though, she stopped for a moment to look toward Zack. "Um...actually...are you going to look at the room as well, or are you going to search somewhere else? I can help search for the employee list if you want..."

Zack bite his lip. While he thought that splitting up was a good idea they had no way to communicate. He didn't think any of them should be wondering alone. But he wasn't sure that everyone would agree. He looked around and sighed. "I guess I will go look for the den. The rest of you might not need a map but I am already lost. I guess we have to hope that the murder doesn't have a way of killing supernaturals."

Jade ran her fingers along the many spines of the books on the shelves, searching for anything that sounded useful or out of place. She plucked a few different books from their places, each covering a different topic she wanted to read up on. One was about the 'hierarchy' or seniority status of household employees, detailing the average jobs of various positions one might have in the house. Another was about the care of various plant-life, one on the architecture used in the house, and a flimsy handwritten journal with extremely faded ink. Returning to the table, Jade sat down the small stack of books and opened the journal, focusing on filling in the missing pieces that had faded with time. "Wow, I think this might be from the first owner of the house. He had the house built way out here to get away from people. Sounds a tinge paranoid if you ask me." She mentioned, scanning page after page for any information that could be useful. "Anything note worthy about the blueprints?"

Mocha hesitated. She certainly hoped that they wouldn't be targeted. This was just a game, wasn't it? They weren't supposed to actually be in danger, were they? She honestly thought the other guests were the only ones she had to worry about. "They wouldn't do that...would they?" She turned back to Zack, feeling anxious once again.

"I don't know why not. My kind aren't that hard to kill. A gun shot would take me out. I know some of you are harder to kill but I am betting that whoever invited us here would know exactly what species each of us is. Why wouldn't they take the time to research our strengths and weakness?" Zack asked seriously. He wasn't going to take anything for granted. So far this had been like the games he had heard about but it felt different then he expected it to.

Jack looked through the blueprints "Hmm, not anything of particular interest. I would not be surprised if there are things that are not on here. You know like hidden passageways." He commented. He looked up from the blueprints. "After we look throughout the inside of the house we should look outside." He suggested

"No, I wouldn't be surprised at all... But whoever designed the extra passages and rooms would need a record of them somewhere to prevent getting lost themselves. I'm sure it'll turn up, but in the mean time we have the general skeleton of the house." Jade plucked a pen from a nearby desk drawer, and hovered over the blueprint. "We're here." She pointed to a section of the map with her pen, a correctly labeled square signaling that they had returned to the main portion of the house. "But we came from this direction, so from this point back to where we first entered was a part of the house that was unoriginal." Marking the passage from memory, Jade drew the map on a separate page to avoid damaging the original house plans.

"You're right, a trip outside might prove to be very enlightening. We should probably meet up with the others before we leave the building though, so for now let's mark anything that doesn't match up with those blueprints on this page here."
