In a world full of powers beyond your imagination. Where day and night heroes and villains wage war against each other. You see, everyone has powers. Some have powers that could lay waste to cities. To lift buildings with a finger or control you to dance like a monkey. To control the oceans or to speed through the skies. To never die or to be the shadows. Gods among men.

You are not one of these people however, you're quite the opposite. In fact your power is rather...useless. Take Dave for example, his "power" is to know if there is at least one person in a hundred meter radius of him. You might think that would be useful, But Dave lives in the center of one of the busiest cities in the world.

For you are quite low in the pecking order...quite...low. People look down upon you, they think you are useless. People who will never make a difference. Stuck with low-end jobs. Spat upon.

Perhaps you wanted to be a Hero...or a villain. Maybe you even try now, while everyone around you has an advantage. Though often you will find yourself just living in a world filled with daily explosions and near Apocalypses.

If anything he's more scared than people without any power at all, because he's just threatening enough to be on a minor villain's radar, but not threatening enough to fight back, so he keeps a very low profile.

Appearance: Looks like a female version of the guy from jumanji, mustache and pith hat and all. (I'll find a picture eventually)

Powers: Tracking. Nothing can outsmart her (<not technically true)

Personality: To call Alex a tom boy is to do her and the term tom boy a disservice. There is pictorial proof of her as a young girl smoking a cigar with the ease of a 50 year old man who's been smoking since he was 18. When she discovered her ability to track she learned how to hunt to hone the ability. Her favorite weapon is the blunderbuss, who wouldn't like it! It is really hard to miss with it. She is not a physical person and has little body strength.

Bio: Born to two rather mundane powered people Alex has always been used to being looked down upon. That does not mean she's okay with it. From a young age she looked... masculine, and has often been mistaken as a boy. She doesn't appreciate that and wears dresses quite often. She taught herself how to hunt from about the age of 6. She works in a taxidermy office to earn money and has an assortment of animals that she killed.

Power: The ability to summon fish. He has to use a fishing rod and line to do this. He has to cast it as if fishing and when he reals it back he has a fish, usually large tuna. (after about 30 seconds the fish disappears)

Personality: John loves fishing, always has, but to be honest he's not that good at it and that makes him sad.

Bio: John owns a small fishing boat. He can't catch anything though because whenever he casts his line he summons a fish. Do you know what that does to a man? He has no family, and no fish. He is a lonely man. He takes people deep sea fishing though and their joy is what keeps him doing okay, also their money.

Do you have a supervillain/plot in mind for the group to deal with, or is this going to be a case of "play as you go"? I have no problem with either, but I'd like to tailor any character I write up to your plans as a GM.

There is going to be a plot, what it is I won't say (As it might change depending on other people and even me changing it for the better/ Deciding the idea I'm going with is silly), but yeah there is a plot going along that the group will be dealing with. Along with the sub-plots people come up with.

At the very start though it will be a bit "play as you go" just to get the feeling of things.

Super Speed – Not a useless power you say? Well, tell that to the guy in the wheelchair.

PERSONALITY:
Eliot has a dry, dark sense of humour no doubt related to his overall aura of depression and melancholy. He reacts poorly to pity – and, by poorly, that means aggressively. He enjoys picking fights with Good Samaritans who try to help him move away from superhero fights. The good thing is, if they get close to his fist, he has a mean uppercut!

BRIEF BIO:
Eliot's powers manifested at the tender age of seven, back when he could still walk. For a good month, he was envied in school even by others with relatively 'good' powers because, well, who doesn't love super speed? Eliot certainly did, and he practiced with it all the time, impressing friends and family.

Then, ironically, when he was in the car with his parents who insisted that they drive him to the park due to battling in the skies above Century City, he was in an accident with a resulting spinal injury that unfortunately left him unable to walk. When his powers were still uncontrollable as a young man, he broke more than 5 wheelchairs a week, thankfully paid for by the huge insurance payout.

Now, on his way to work in a Call Centre, he only breaks one every once in a while.

Skin Illuminessence - she can make her skin shimmer and produce a soft glowing light. It could help you find your phone in your bedroom at night!

Personality:
Desi is often considered the hyperactive child stuck in a woman's body. She's bubbly and talks all the time. She giggles at inappropriate times and smiles quite often at everyone. There are moments, however, when a switch goes off and Desi turns into a rueful witch. When she gets angry she doesn't hold anything back- screaming and fighting with someone at the drop of a pen. As long as she's taking her medication she's a really nice person!

Brief Bio:
Desi first discovered her gift at the age of six- when she turned her illuminessence on and couldn't figure out how to turn it off. She walked around glowing and shimmering for three weeks straight- try having to sleep like that! The only thing she found nice about her powers was he never had to turn on the light to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And it was also pretty to look at, but other than that it was useless.

Desi was diagnosed bipolar at the age of ten when a male student called her power stupid and she stabbed a pencil through his hand. She has been on medication ever since- antidepressants are the reason behind her often inappropriate responses and constantly smiling. She now works as a waitress in a small coffee shop in the middle of the busy city.

Personality: Janine was always a curious person and a bit spacey at that. She has over time sort of adopted a more cat like outlook on things, namely being less inclined to listen or actually do anything she doesn't want to. Generally she is well behaved but she has her moments and seven years as a cat has sort of taken its toll on her patience with people. She would rather be treated as an equal by other people and tends to get a bit sassy with anyone who continues to annoy her about it.

Brief Bio: Janine learned about her power when she was thirteen when she started mimicking her cat and turned into one in the process. She thought it was amazing at first having thought she was normal in a city full of super humans but she quickly discovered it was both a blessing and a curse when she couldn't return to being human. Her parents had to make some adjustments for her making sure she had food and water while they still had to live they're lives. It wasn't all bad considering Janine had her cat as company and the two of them became a fair bit closer considering they could better communicate than before. She actually managed to continue her schooling as awkward as it was for the private tutor they hired at her behest but college was something out of the question until something could be sorted out.

Eventually she ended up living with her friend at her request when her cat passed away from age which gave her a bit of freedom. She kind of got babied by her friends because of her state and she got annoyed more and more with it because she hated being treated like she couldn't do anything. There were definitely things she couldn't do anymore but she tried her best not to let it get to her and has done her best to keep going. She actually stopped a thief from robbing the apartment with a few good scratches, a bite or two, and some nasty language she most likely wouldn't repeat. Janine tried to help other people once or twice when she snuck out of the apartment a couple times but its hard to get noticed when her power is as limiting as it is noticeable.
