So we all know that story. Zombies, radio active waste, nuclear warfare, aliens, etc. just an overall role play about something that threatens to wipe the humans off of the face of the planet. But whatever happened to their pets? The thousands of dogs, cats, reptiles, and various domesticated farm animals? What about all the zoo animals? Lions, Tigers, Bears, Elephants, and other various non-native animals that live on thousands of acres of reserved property? What happened to them? Did they just die off as well, or are they trying to survive this apocalyptic horror like we are?

Needless to say I would like role play an apocalyptic setting through the eyes of various pets and other native and non-native animals. Doomsday doesn't necessarily have to mean 'zombie'. Again there's always the eruption of super volcanoes, nuclear warfare, virus, flooding, super cell storms that ravage the planet, those kind of things. Right now I'm only looking for about four people cause I want to keep this relatively small at the start, but add characters and other situations as the role play continues.

The idea is cool, but I'm more focused on common house pets rather than lane expiraments right now. We could do some kind of nuclear warfare if that's what you (and others) are into.

I may be interested--Though I do have a question. Will we be playing pets as in, normal pet animals that can't speak to each other?

All the animals would be able to talk to eachother. Just at the start have only house pets, and then as the rp progresses add more and various animals. As for prey-type animals like Rabbits and snakes and mice, at first because the pet type animals are so accustomed to dog/cat food and pellets they wouldn't think much about hunting. As the world becomes more and more 'uncivilized' then it would be more so that the prey animals would turn into prey as the house pets would move farther out to the wilds.

As for starting I figured that they would live in the same neighborhood and it's not until their owners are evacuated and all the pets haven't eaten in a while start to wonder what's going on exactly. If it's a natural disaster it would be more apparent of the danger as the humans get rescued and the pets are left behind to fend for themselves.

It depends on the kind of doomsday everyone would be up for.

I'll join up whenever this gets going. Have you thought of a completely hypothetical situation where every human just disappears?
