Paige smiled and leaned around Lincoln to wave to the newcomer. "Hey, I'm Paige." She introduced. The remainder of dinner sped by quickly. It was only the first night and she already had a nice little group of people that had the potential to become great allies, maybe even friends. She headed to her room and wished both of the guys goodnight befitting retiring to bed.

Paige was up by six thirty. She spent the little extra time she had and did some push-ups and sit-ups in her room. After a shower and breakfast she braided her hair and let it hang down her back. She got dressed quickly and stopped to admire how she looked in the mirror. This was a look that would never become outdated in her eyes. She left her room and arrived down at the training room about five minutes early.

Lilith woke up at five o'clock, because she had fallen asleep next to a book she claimed was her new favorite and had to finish it. After she got done, she went into the shower, coming out with her hair in a nice bun and her clothes already on. She didn't want Zeph to see or do anything to her while she was vulnerable. She fidgeted in her guard outfit, which she wasn't used to wearing. She went to get breakfast, and headed to the training room immediately after.

She saw that plenty of people had already arrived, and she smiled at the. Apparently she was early because the instructor hadn't arrived. She felt happy about that since she could check out her surroundings a bit.

Derric glance over at Alda and the new girl before hearing the announcement that dinner was over. "Well I'm sure we can continue this lovely conversation at another time." He promised before nodding at the new comer and winking at Alda. "See you guys tomorrow!"

Derric got up two hours before it was time to meet in the training room, going for his usual early morning run and work out. Once he was fiished he went to grab breakfast before showing up with the others a few minutes before they were supposed to start. He saw Tarvas and gave him a wave before searching around for anyone else he might know, mainly Alda.

"Sure, see you tomorrow" Sarah shouted as she left, quickly following Sarah made her way back to her room. Making sure every single door and window were shut, she quickly telekinetically stripped out of her clothes and into her pyjamas. Climbing into bed it took her a few minutes to fall asleep as the excitement of both her first day and meeting Citrine took a while to subside. Waking at around six thirty, after quickly checking to see if her friend was awake, she did some push ups in her room.

At around quarter to seven she changed into her uniform and after checking herself out in the mirror and and giggling a little in excitement, she made her way to the cafeteria where she grabbed a quick breakfast before heading to the training room. Once there she managed to spot her friend at the back, making her way over she leant next to her and asked

"You ready?"

The dinner really did speed by quickly. Mostly because Lincoln was trying foods he never even heard of. Being able to sit back and est your hearts away was a luxury Lincoln never had, and he wasn't about to go to waste. Eating while talking with two people that you enjoyed was another plus. When Lincoln made it to his room, he pretty munch collapsed. Today was a long day, and a good night's sleep was in store.

Lincoln was an early-riser. He always was. Back in Slight, he always had to wake up around 4 AM. Loggers back in Slight couldn't rest, since Focal bought a lot of wood to build camps and such outside the walls. Lincoln decided to sleep in till 5 AM because he didn't need to go out and cut trees. Instead, Lincoln worked out. He thought now that he is going to be fighting Anomalies, he needs to build some muscle mass. Not too much, he still needs to be mobile. When he was done working out, he took a long shower. It was amazing. After he finished, he got into his Guard clothes, and headed down to the training room.

When he got the the room, he was shocked by all of the different equipment. This is a room where he would be spending a lot of his year in, so he better come to like it. Lincoln saw Paige already there, but before he was about to greet her, he thought he didn't want to become a cling-on. So instead he made his away around the room.

Lincoln stopped in his tracks, his eyes widened. He noticed a girl he did not see before (@CallaLily). Lincoln hasn't seen such a pretty girl before. Lincoln quickly looked away, afraid the she might notice him. He didn't want to be a creeper the first day of classes.

Mason had been awake since 5:00. He'd woken up with a terrible headache, and had occupied himself with his tablet. When 7:00 came, he got up to prepare for the day's classes. He slid on the uniform shirt, once again uncomfortable with it's tightness. He slid into the shorts, and found the fabric was cold after sitting through the night. The feeling sent a chill down his leg, which caused his calf muscles to stiffen.

The young man slowly pulled his duffel bag from under his bed, still having not unloaded it's contents into the dresser. He removed a pair of sleek, black running shoes, and slid them on his feet. He rarely wore the shoes, as he proffered boots any day. However, he assumed they would be running a good bit today, so he opted for the more athletic choice.

He left his room, not bothering to check on Chess. Starting down the hallway, Mason walked with long strides. He entered the Weapons rooming and saw the other recruits there - but they still lacked many others. He also saw that the instructor wasn't there. He spotted Lilith - the only person he'd spoken to beside Estella and Chess. He stood a couple feet from her, silently waiting for something to happen.

She smiled hard when he picked her up and out her down next to him "self control is strong with this knuckle head" she joked as he went on to begin 21 questions. Before she could reply Nau called it to and end and Colt picked her up and carried her away in his back again. She smiled into his back and held on again before he stopped in front of her door. "Don't do anything rash dumbass, seriously don't do anything stupid...slow is what he wanted" she smiled and watched as he was looking into her eyes and then suddenly he cupped her face and her mind went blank all over again. She started on her tippy toes but then he let go and apologized "no please don-" he went into his room and slammed the door, locking it "go..." She looked at the door and went into her room.

"Am I not good enough?...you were to pushy...you always ruin everything you dumbass" she took her pillow and slammed her face into it. She got up and undressed, getting into bed she rolled over onto her back and stared at the ceiling "it's only the first day..." She feel asleep in the frightening silence.

She woke up to the sound of Colt leaving his dorm room and she waited till she couldn't hear him anymore. Getting up she went to her wardrobe and pulled out the recruit outfit. Turning she saw how tight it was on her body and she smiled slightly "when did I grow this thing?" She moved her hands over her butt, the suit made her realize just how far she had gotten and gone in life. Opening the door she walked out and saw the time, 6:30 am and counting, so she took it upon herself to go get breakfast. Sitting by herself she hate her door and silently prayed Colt wasn't around so that she wouldn't be a dumbass and make things worse.

After breakfast, she went to the gym and did a set of workouts she did in luminosity when she had time, before stretching and heading towards the training room. There were a couple of people around but she was looking for one in particular, seeing him she moved seeing as he hadn't quite seem her yet and she stood beside Colt her hood up. Her heart was beating before she sighed, pulling the scarf of the hood down, she stood on he tippy toes and kissed his cheek "listen, I don't know if I did anything wrong but if I did, I should be sorry. I can understand if you want space and I'll leave you alone, but please don't shut me out completely?" She didn't look at him, instead looking at the ground with her back against the wall and her hands behind her back.

Nya woke to a stream of dazzling sunlight in her room. She stretched slightly and felt stiff. I should have eaten more than just junk last night, she thought, forgive me please, body. She rolled on her side and glanced at the clock. The bright red numbers blinked 12:01. “Oh shit,” she breathed. She leaped out of bed and grabbed the watch on the desk across the room. 7:34am. Nya breathed a sigh of relief, her heart still pounding fiercely. She wasn’t entirely late but breakfast had to be fast. She threw on her guard uniform and whipped her hair up into a messy ponytail. It would have to do. She jogged to the dining hall, doing lunges while she ate, and then jogged to the training room. At least she’d have that minor warm up. A few students were already there, lounging around casually while they waited for class to start. She saw two girls up against the wall, chatting quietly. They looked like they knew each other pretty well. Nya also saw Paige across the room. She waved at her but decided to walk over to the blonde and brunette talking to each other. Personality analysis of every recruit was a necessity, even if it meant tedious social interaction.

It was with clear half-irritation and half-amusement that Alda left dinner, but she'd been in a good enough mood to wink back at Derric, and that could only be a good sign.

She woke early the next morning as she usually had back in Slight, took a reasonable amount of time to get dressed in the bland uniform, and do her makeup (which was more of a habit than an actual need; she'd probably just wipe everything off later). Still shaking off the mental cobwebs of sleep and not a very hungry person in the mornings, Alda grabbed a very small breakfast before making her way, still yawning, to the training area. She looked forward to the day, as she could definitely use some waking up right now.

As she'd done last night she scanned the crowd quickly before seeing Derric and Tarvas and striding over to them.

The three of them hardly gave her much to work with but two of three seemed to at least consider her words. The quick end of the conversation would prove even more problematic but the boy said he would continue the conversation, at the least he has a spine. She finished the remaining bits of food, and walked away without a word.

Arriving at her door she noted her hall mates door, and recalled the rather strange girl for not being a servant she certainly lacked presence. She took a moment, debating on if she should attempt to explain her reasoning. No. No she wont. If a girl wants to act so childish she shall be ignored as one should with any intolerable abomination. With that confirmation she would not reemerge till the morning.

Awake with enough time to ready herself for the day, a complete set of the Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1-3 to ensure she was warmed up for her day. Her shower was rather meticulous applying various products to ensure her skin and hair maintained the level of perfection that matched the goals she had for herself. Getting dressed was and fixing her hair was as simple as a uniform and two hair clips, she smirked. Likely out of a feeling of relief that she no longer had to waste time with what she felt was just lying about how attractive you are.

Arriving at 7:55 she waited in silence, Paying little attention to those that had arrived both before and after.

Derric glanced over to see the girl coming forwards and waved, leaning against the wall with slight welcoming smile. Honestly the smile was more to calm his nerves than to say hi to her... This was a big day, it was the first day after all. In other words it was the day where you could either fit in or humiliate yourself.

Obviously it was a fairly pessimistic view of things, he realized that, but he sort of just didn't really care. As Alda came up he gave her a nod. "Ready for today?"

Estella woke up at five; she needed the time to look her best. She took a long, warm shower, and blow dried her hair. That in itself took an hour. Then she reluctantly put on her uniform. At least it was comfortable and made her figure look flattering. She decided against make up because it was Weaponry class and the last thing she wanted was to look like her face is melting off. She instead put on a bit of light pink lipgloss and curled her eyelashes. Lastly, she put her hair in a fishtail braid.

For breakfast, she just quickly grabbed a blueberry muffin and a banana. She was going to be late at this rate, so she hurried to the training room. She looked around and saw Lilith and Mason standing next to each other and went to join them. "Good morning, Lilith, Mason," she greeted cheerfully. She noticed that a boy was stealing glances at Lilith and made a mental note. Clearly someone had the hots for her but she didn't tell her yet, maybe at lunch.

"Born ready," Citrine said with a wide smile on her face. She looked as a new girl approached them, one she had seen at dinner and earlier in the day yesterday, but she hadn’t talked to. She smiled at the new girl and said, “Uh, hello.” She glanced quickly over at Sarah before saying, “My name is Citrine and I’m from Luminosity.” She was trying to be very polite, but she had never really had anyone just walk up to them randomly and not say anything. “Where are you from?”

He had seen her in the gym when she was in there and he was running laps, but he didn’t want to talk to her. Not today. She just made it worse when she came over and kissed his cheek. He moved away from her on the wall, trying not to look at how well she looked in that outfit. “You didn’t do anything wrong,” he said as coldly and as distantly as he could possibly do. “I don’t need space. I’m fine, babe.” He said the “babe” as more of a sarcastic comment than a real term of endearment and he shifted away from her, moving farther away.

Suddenly the door to the room bangs open and Sky stalked in, a scowl on his face. Sky stopped immediately in the center of the group, staring everyone down. He gazes at all of them before announcing, “My name is Sky Carlson. You will call me Sky, no more, no less.” He scans over them again. “I see a few of your classmates are running late. Not a problem, though they will have to deal with consequences later.” He paced in the front of the room. “I will be evaluating your former education for these first couple class periods. Because this is a combined class, you will have three hours in here rather than one and a half.” He paused his pacing again and walked over to the wall opposing the students. He tapped on it and it lit up with a gold glow, exposing a bracket. The students’ names were listened on the side at the far end.

He smiled almost scarily. “Starting off, we will be having a hand to hand combat tournament. The person who wins this will receive twenty points. The runner up will receive nineteen and it goes down from there. Alright, first match is… Dyana Dolaso versus Sarah Moringstar.” Sky looked at the two girls expectantly.

Lilith looked silently around the room, she noticed Mason stand near her but she couldn't find anything to say to him. She watched as people came through the door and smiled at them all, though she was mostly sizing hem up. She saw a couple boys here and there, but none of them particularly caught her eye. Except for one, who had stopped in his tracks and stared straight at Lilith. After that he broke eye contact, which made Lilith purse her lips in confusion and fidget a little.

When Estella entered Lilith turned her attention to her, with a wide bright smile and a nod in Mason's direction. "Morning Estella, morning Mason. " She would have said more but in that instant the instructor stepped in and started a small speech. He then called two names Lilith didn't know, so Lilith shifted her focus to the mat where they would be fighting. She wasn't sure if she could use her Anomaly in this situation without blowing a whistle. Maybe she could use a bit more punch, or a tougher hide like a rhino. Instead she decided against it, because it was risky and very stupid to try. She didn't even know if she could do it again.

Lincoln jumped a little as the instructor bursted in. He introduced himself, and made it known that he wants to be regarded as "Sky." Sky was intimidating, but in order to make it through here, Lincoln wasn't going to let him be. He stood up straight as the instructor made his way down to the far wall. Sky began telling us the details of the class, and said that we'll be fighting today. Lincoln knew how to handle himself, or liked to think that. In Slight, boxing was popular among the younger people. Lincoln boxed a lot, so it gave him at least some basic knowledge. Lincoln was relieved that he wasn't the first one to fight, but didn't show it. He didn't know the two girls that were paired, but was eager to see them in action. Lincoln gave a couple of quick looks at Lilith, but soon stopped. He was still admiring the fact that she was the prettiest girl he has seen.

"Hella," replied Alda, the corners of her mouth turning upward. "I am going to kick so much ass," she added, with a hint of sarcasm: with her leg the way it had been ever since her accident, she wasn't entirely sure that she would be able to win a fight. She made a mental note to herself not to tell a soul that her femur had been shattered a while back, although perhaps the Slight boys knew. She also told herself to hide her limp, which was definitely easier said than done. Maybe she could use her ability to give herself a boost... but she didn't want to risk that; it would be absolute suicide.

The instructor barely managed to turn her head, but when he did she gave him her full attention. Her muscles tensed and she bit her lip, quietly and barely-noticeably flexing. Her ambition, although the odds were against her, made her heart quicken. Maybe, just maybe, she could get those twenty points. Then that bitch from dinner wouldn't have such a nerve! Her eyes flickered from person to person as she nervously sized up the competition. There were certainly some who would be hard, if not impossible, to beat. But that didn't mean Alda wouldn't try.

Her gaze returned to Derric. "You ready?" she asked, softly so as not to attract Sky's attention.

Finn was mortified. He had slept in much too late. God damnit they're all going to think I'm some flake from Principle. He opted to skip breakfast in favor of getting dressed and even then he wasn't done until 8:01. Ugh I'm late. I'm late. Finn ran down to the Weaponry classroom where he burst in, his cheeks flushing in embarrassment, right as the instructor finished talking. "I-I-I'm sorry I'm late," Finn stammered, suddenly taking a great interest in his shoes. God I'm so stupid.

Nya knew that watching the other students in combat was a very effective way to scrutinize their physical weaknesses. The short ones were generally faster while the larger ones were generally stronger. It didn't always work that way but most of the time it did. Based on how the students took Sky's criticisms, she would know who was too strong-willed for their own good and who was a good listener. It would also show her who was a natural born leader and who were the followers. There were pros and cons to being each type and she needed to know where they fit best. When Sky announced Sarah and Dyana as the first two to compete, Nya thought the fight was going to be a good one. Both of the girls were pretty small. Sarah looked like she was a natural fighter but Dyana had a wild streak in her spirit that Nya wouldn't underestimate. She leaned back against the wall, waiting for the action to start.

Dyana Dolaso versus Sarah Moringstar

Dyana heard her name and looked up to see that her name was first "great..." between Colts reaction and now having to fight she was shaking with anxiety "Just take it out on your opponent..." she walked up to see Sarah and she stood adjacent from her.

Sarah and Dyana face up to each other and bow. Circling each other, Sarah and Dyana stared into each others eyes. Sarah moved first, throwing a punch towards Dyana's face "Oh shit she moved faster then I expected" connecting. Dyana stumbled back smiling, quickly kicking Sarah who tried rushing her.

Sarah tumbled to the side and held her stomach "damn that hurt like a bitch..." She caught her breath, while Dyana stood in a defensive position. Sarah stood back up and they started to circle again. Sarah sent a punch to Dyana's face, to which she blocked, but missed Sarah's kick to her left side, hitting Dyana in her ribs. Dyana winced, before blocking the next punch and throwing her own, punching Sarah in the side. Sarah went to grapple Dyana, to which Dyana sent a knee towards Sarah. Sarah jumped over the knee and tumbled, landing and sending a sweeping kick. Knocking Dyana off her feet, Sarah went to jump on top of Sarah, but Dyana used her feet to throw Sarah over her head. Kicking herself up, Dyana turned around to see Sarah charging again. Dyana swung and Sarah ducked under it, however did not realize the knee speeding towards her face. Taking her hand, Dyana grabbed Sarah's face and kneed her, knocking her out almost instantly.

Sarah fell to the ground and Dyana snapped out of battle mode, turning she went to make sure Sarah was okay "Oh shit, Sarah are you okay?" she felt for a pulse and felt it, breathing out heavily "Dammit, that scared me..." she stood up and bowed towards Sky, looking at Sarah and then to Sky "So do...um...I help her off and make sure she's okay?" she bent down again and looked up at Sky.

"Leave her. If she's a true Guard, she'll stand up on her own," Sky snapped, glaring at the winner. "Winner: Dyana Dolaso." Dyana's name moved up on the bracket and then Sky turned to face the boy who entered his class late. "I will deal with you later. Right now, up against the wall with the others." He jerked his chin toward the wall where the other Recruits were standing and he turned to face the bracket once again. His eyes skimmed over the bracket, heading down to the next fight. "Alright, next up... Alda Bayne versus Derric Adams." Sky looked toward the two, gesturing for them to head out to the floor.
