Mhm, usually RPs that are Casual and Advanced can take lengthy time to move on, especially if it involves a large group. It can't be helped depending on what kind of genre and story progression!

And pffffft, I've been working on this post for a few hours anyway XD Plus it felt like I might get left behind if I don't at least post once a day in this rp.

Nah boom, there are roleplays filled with players who simply prefer an ultra slow pace. Even if you posted and replied quickly, they'd still be slow as a worm.

well i think its because the gm isnt very active on this forum and since the story is kinda centerd around his chareter it could explain why it could take a long time. not that im blaming him or anyhting that guy peobably has a lot of work or something.
why do people like taking it slow? gigety XD actualy i think i already know the answer to that its becaise people like to think about what there writing or the words just come slower to them.

There is a common misconception in High Casual and Advanced sections of the forum that goes like "The longer the posts and the longer the time it takes to interact between characters, the better the character development"

Dunno where they got that misconception, but it certainly is an ineffective way of writing.

That's literally what happens to me, the slow words and thinking a lot, cause I dedicate myself to the post, usually trying not to half @ss it. Rp is srs bsns 2 me. But eh, I guess it depends on the mood as well. And real life is natural for most people, a lot of the people here have work too, you know! :P

And tbh, the GM talks a lot about his ideas and possible plot stuff to us, not on here tho.

why are you taking rp so serious i dont mind that you do but its rp making a few mistakes here and there doesnt realy matter as long as people get what you writing but thats just my opinon.

Mmmm I guess but to me, RPing is also kind of like my practice to learn English since English is not my first language. Making mistakes here and there are fine, ye, but I'm somewhat-not-really perfectionist too.

It depends really, you can post three lines and have it be perfect in quality just like you can post four paragraphs and make it perfect in quality too. I go for a concrete writing style. I write what's happening as seen from Teige's eyes with minimal interruption from her thoughts. Imagine if I were to write each thing that comes to her mind when she sees a human. My posts would then triple in size and capture 1/3rd of the current interest they gather.

Boom, writing an interesting character takes a lot of practice. It's taken me 4 years to get to where I am and I still have a long way to go. Some of us take things more seriously because they are super passionate about writing, which is a good thing. Others are more relaxed because it's only a hobby, which is also a good thing.

How many times must it be said, there's no fighter bay. This isn't a goddamn battleship.

anyways, you can't expect an rp to always be fast paced, it always has times where it slows tell. Well, go back to normal that is. People got lives outside rping ya know.

But yea, the majority of the talking about what not is done elsewhere, so it's not like its just, out-of-the-ass kind of stuff.

If you want fast paced shit, there's always the free roleplay section.

Erm most of it goes on in a chat out of RPG, Skype to be exact. Not sure if GM will create a group for this thread specifically but someone volunteered to make it if GM doesn't.

But mmmm yeah, overall, Casual and Advanced is somewhat slow, possibly by you and other people's standards but like what X said, Free is actually pretty quick, most of their posts containing only lines to a paragraph or two.

If someone could make a chatzy or the like, it'd be perfect.

And actually Boom, this RP is a lot faster than the norm at the moment. If you're looking for quick fixes of writing, the Free section might be your jam. Last time I participated in a Free RP, there were about 50 IC posts per day.

It's a chatroom. I use one in mibbit for another RP I'm in, it's really useful for keeping an RP alive through slow times.

He said Personal ships are fine but not that there was fighters or a fighter bay.

And I offered to make a skype group for it if Sword doesn't want to. Will have to wait on what sword has to say on the matter.
