We're currently waiting for Ink to finish up with college exams and end of the year folly. He's pretty busy, so its hard for him to get much done.

In that case I may try and get a post up for the Prince. I really need to do that, been slackin'.

A little change of plans. I've finally found a job, a construction gig. It's schedule means I will be unavailable from Monday to Saturday. And I very much doubt I will have PC and/or internet access during that week. Make no mistake, I am still interested in this RP very much, it's just my schedule might be a bit... chaotic from now on.

Alright, that's cool. If you want to pm me we and talk further about how Maldron will work during this period of chaos. We can either pre-define his actions or you can delegate control to myself or somebody else if you so wished while you're unavailable. In any case, we should discuss our options.

There, after a bit of delay I have posted once again. It is passable at best, but eh, what can I do - at least I found a moment to catch up and make up for my lack of posts. Besides, me being out of country is not a lasting condition; my availability should improve immensely after that.

And indeed, I am female as can be concluded from the fact that I can conveniently use my hips as elbow-rests and other anatomical particularities, and for the matter also identify as a woman ("girl" is a term I reserve for people who haven't finished puberty yet, and suffice to say, I am quite a bit past that ... similarly, I won't typically call a twenty-something or older man a boy, either).
- I am not entirely certain whether I just act and speak (or type, as is the case) in a manner that is closer to what is more likely to be interpreted as stereotypically "masculine" or that many people just tend to default to male (NewSun wouldn't by far be the first person I've met to state something like that), but it seems to be a fairly common mistake for people to make. (Though, I've seen people state they don't use their true sex just because they're afraid it will change people's attitudes towards them... Never have had any issues with that myself, even where people plainly know what sex I am.)
I have also noticed that I am one of the few women out there who dares play female characters who are necessarily neither cute nor beautiful, my character in this RP probably included. She is supposed to be kind of average-looking, I suppose, more endearing than anything else; then again, I mostly just have a kind of mental image of her, and being heterosexual myself I am also a terrible judge of feminine beauty... My best chance is probably just drawing a picture according to my mental image and just asking random male friends and acquaintances what they think. (On more random note, she is probably the most submissive RP-character I've made in a long time... For now, anyway.)
Coming back to the original topic - what bobert said actually quite reflects my opinion on the recent wave of all kinds of sex- and gender-related topics. More often than not, I just wish they did away with all that rampant finger-pointing and just treated everyone like a human being.

@ShienvienWell you write well, so I like you. Did before and still do, so we can be done with this topic post-haste and continue our foray into the unknown.

But you do raise some interesting points, mostly ones concerning the nature of characters you play, and it might even be a wholesome topic of discussion to consider. I'll leave this one open if anybody wanted to continue the conversation in that direction, but other than that i'd like to think that we all avoid treating somebody different based on gender, and it's just a fun fact that will be essentially forgotten in a few days - in the nicest way possible, of course :P.

*whistles* Things are moving. And only getting even more confusing for my poor character, I'm afraid... Not sure whether should post next, should I find the time and energy to do so, or wait at least a couple of more posts... While she can run, she'll probably run ... unless the "But I can't just leave my companions behind, now can I?" part of her takes over, anyway. If she can't run anymore since something or other has pulled ahead and turned to face her, however? That'd be another matter entirely.

We'll have to see if Laue is up for posting this weekend, and it's down to whether Atomika and Churro wish to do a quick post about their escapes. If not, i'll do a little setting-prompt to set you up for what your characters will be facing without the Turncloak on your escape path.

Also, note to all:

I missed out a critical line of dialogue in the Turncloak King's last speech-thing. I've edited the post, but I advise going back to the last section and re-reading just so that things go smooth.

Is there anything I can do to get you guys going again, or are you happy to wait?
