A little over three weeks for me. We're about halfway through. It's been gorgeous weather too, and the campus is beautiful, so we've just been outside a lot. :D

Nice :D That's a decent length for a holiday ^^ And awesome that the weather has been so good!

(Sorry for the late response)

Well, I feel like a huge jerk.

I've been trying and trying to get back into writing for role plays, but I can't find it in me. I really don't know why this is happening to me. Writing used to be my outlet, and now it is turning into a stress thing.

I love you guys, and my characters and the storyline, but there comes a time when a person has to do what is best for them. I do hope everyone can understand where I am coming from. Anxiety, depression and other health issues are just making life for me so hectic.

I do think it is time to pass along the GM torch. It's only the fair thing to do. My characters can be written out in a manner that I could still come back if things get sorted in my life, but someone else will be running the show. I don't want people to feel held back because I (the GM) am not posting.

As my Co-GM, it's only natural that I would ask FaithsRose if she wanted to be GM.

If she does, great, if not, this is such a small group that everyone could be "co-gms" in a manner of speaking. No pressure for anyone.

I am so very sorry and I hope I have not ruined anything. Though I won't post in IC, I will try to pop by OOC every now and again to chat.

With lots of love and hugs,
Rarity

Sorry to hear you've been having such a bad time, Rarity. Here's hoping you feel better soon.

As for the roleplay, I think it might be time to consider our options. We can go on posting sporadically as we have been, or try recruitment, start over (possibly with our current characters already knowing each other), pick up the pace between us, or lay World's End to rest.

Hey guys, sorry didn't get a lot of time over the past 4 days to really think about or reply to any of this :/

I've got one more super busy weekend to get through and then I'll be able to dedicate more time to RP things in general.

I've messaged Rarity back already but wanted to talk to you guys about it.

I'm not entirely convinced I'm even GM material o.o' co-GM sure, but actual GM status I don't know. Would either of you consider the role?

As for what to do with the RP now, I strongly believe that in order to keep this going a reboot with (or without if you prefer) our current characters knowing each other would be the best next step. Some new blood would be good for this right now ^^

Weren't there plans for the group heading to a mall at some point? It could be a good starting point, a mall would make it easier for new survivors to meet up.

That's my thoughts on the situation ^^' How are you feeling about this?

That might not be such a bad idea. Have a reboot with the current characters already knowing one another, maybe having some off screen sorta development of at least knowing what the other is like.

While getting the chance to meet new ones who have no idea.

If you don't feel comfortable GMing, maybe you can make it into one of those eps that sort of share the status with everyone. Like a democracy kinda thing where there isn't really one single ruler.

Fox's democracy co-GM idea is a great one. As is the reboot. We could begin as the characters who already know each other have (somewhat reluctantly/are forced to) leave the countryside for whatever reason (perhaps the fight in town attracted too many zombies, or someone got infected and they had to get out fast).

They've lost some friends and the mall is their best bet for supplies.

EDIT: It might be an idea to come up with something else that sets this zombie apocalypse apart from the rest if we're going to recruit people.

Mhmm unsure what uniqueness one could have with zombies that hasn't been done.

Maybe the outbreak isn't actually happening in the entire country and just a sectioned off piece as a Government experiment? And it's our survivors who discovers this and possibly finds a way to get a cure?

I dunno. Sick and brain dead right now xD

Exactly. At least we can try and rely on keeping character development and what-not at the forefront.

Although your idea is pretty out there.

I rather like the idea of the democracy ^^ A good way to limit the pressure build up on one person and could lead to a nice change in pace throughout. Think the off screen development would be a good idea as well, give a settled kind of approach to things.

The only thing I'd say about the democracy is would that be between us veterans or would that be extended to everyone who joined?

As for how the group got moved on, perhaps overrun by a zombie herd? If we do reboot this and nobody minds, I'd like to have Ash removed from play, perhaps by a zom-zom bite or something sacrificial like that xD

I agree with finding an idea to set it apart whilst keeping character development as a big part of it <.< The government one is interesting xD Though kind of limits things as to where the story can go if its just a sectioned off piece of land. It's quite a hard one finding something unique to run with >.< Different mutations in the zombies? Secret Organisations? Underground safe zone made by the government for select peoples? Intelligent zombies? Brainstorming a few might be a good idea ^^'

And Cat could be the one to totally Axe her. Since he'd probably be the only one who could do it without being traumatized at having to take a friend's life. Might be another reason why Mercy might just avoid him more.

I was thinking of killing either Cat or Dog, cause that was sorta a plan. But it was going to be quite. Dramatic, and fucked up so I kinda want to keep them both alive for now. Maybe Dog can lose a eye from the little skirmish and wears a eyepatch now,

Mhmm kinda like the intellegent zombie idea. Reminds me of the movie Warm Bodies.

But Ya know, except this universe probably won't have magical brought back to life zombies into normal people.

(It was surprisingly a fun movie for one sorta based off of Twilight. Weird.)

Maybe we can do a little Fallout element to it?

Intelligent zombies is a great idea. They're not exactly dumb as a post, but they're not super smart. Perhaps they have pack instincts, and learn from their actions. For example, they learn that food is fast and they are not, so they learn how to ambush. Learning zombies!

I also like the idea of different types of zombies. Generic zombies, runners, spitters, screamers. Imagine these guys learning hunting tactics.

Mercy, Cat, One-Eyed Dog, Chris and Tony make their way into a city in dire need of supplies after the farm was overrun and various NPCs killed. Rarity's characters could have been separated from ours, so they can pop back in if need be. The same goes for Mistress Cyanide. They'll meet new characters in the city and boom, plot and character development out the wazoo. This sound good?

If we have a clear goal in mind for the plot (i.e.: get supplies and find long-term shelter either inside or outside of the city, plus individual goals like we did at the beginning), and encourage this to keep moving, we can keep the roleplay on its toes.

That would actually be perfect xD Would help with character development! Paves the way for Mercy having a bit more 'bite' behind her actually <.<

One-eyed Dog does sound like an interesting twist ^^ Wouldn't it be worrying if Dog wasn't about to keep Cat from killing everyone o.o

Ooo, liking those ideas :D Gives the RP a whole new dynamic...learning zombies xD I think different zombies would be interesting as well and from what you've said terrifying <.< Runners learning to 'herd' survivors so as to box them in o.o Would screamers be like clickers from the last of us? Or more like the witches from left for dead?

The plot plan sounds good to me as well ^^ What about the long term goal being creating a safe zone/long term shelter inside or outside of the city? :S Only ask because I've not seen it before ^^' It's 9/10 down to the survivors finding one <.< Also would vote for individual goals being a must :) Like the idea of personal goals conflicting with the overall plan xD Also I may add in a new character when this starts as well if you two are okay with that?

Also not sure whether you two saw my question before about the democracy? o.o Would that be between us veterans or would that be extended to everyone who joined?

I'd really appreciate an answer if its not too much bother. Want to know/make sure I'm on the same page as you guys ^^'

Indeed. Also, Dog would be quite terrified herself. Since you know, Cat is the type that believes the weak will die. And losing a eye can be a weakness. So she'd probably be afraid Cat would either execute her, or abandon her when things get too drastic that she can't get out of on her own.

Yet of course, Dog doesn't want to leave him, despite the greater risk of him probably killing her out of 'mercy'

Imagine if she lost a limb.

It's still questionable if he actually does care of his blood relative besides the only instinct of knowing they were only bound by blood. Keeping them together.

As for Democracy, I think it could apply to everyone. But the veterans can help maybe write stuff up, or look over new CS's to make sure they are ok.

Regarding the democracy idea, absolutely open to everyone. I'm not sure what New Guild rules are regarding exactly how many Co-GMs you can name, but at minimum you get one GM and one Co-GM named on the thread. That could be any of us, and we can simply explain to players that they have an equal say in development as we do.

I agree with Fox; veterans should approve characters before posting goes ahead.

I doubt Tony would have survived the farm ambush if even Ash and Dog were injured. So I might severely wound a leg and leave him mobility-compromised.

As for writing stuff up, I did a quick overview of everything we've discussed so far, if y'all are okay with that. All very rough.

Oh I imagined them getting hurt in the fuel run. Ambush is possible too though.

Does make me wonder how Cat would react though. Since he kinda finds Tony mildly interesting. Interesting enough not to kill him at least.

And wow that looks amazing :O you're awesome Tea :D

Fuel run or ambush. Both might work, since they're leaving the farm for some reason. I love the idea of watching the dynamic of the veterans change with the injuries, deaths and new additions.

And thank you, Fox dear. :D

Sorry wasn't around yesterday, sporadic trip.

@Silver Fox Can imagine that being quite terrifying for Dog o.o...more character development :D

On the democracy front, thank you for clearing that up for me ^^ Think its a great idea opening it up to everyone but also in favour of Fox's idea of veterans approving characters before posting.

Well I was planning on taking Ash out by a bite to force Mercy to develop if I was honest, nothing more satisfying than the ol' 'you can't save me anyway' xD Could have been injured during the fuel run or farm overrun, though wouldn't the latter be more of a reason for them to have abandoned the farm?

And whoa @teapotshark that is fantastic :D Thank you for going through the trouble of writing that all up o.o Really loving the different types of zombies xD Spitters look especially nasty now they're all lined up like that ^^'

(I'm not sure if it affects this but I may not be able to get back online until Sunday evening :S After this weekend, I'll be able to be more productively helpful...so to speak ^^')
