Ecen, an ancient land steeped in a history full of conflict and warfare. A land of man and many natural wonders. In recent years the land has been quiet, while bloodshed occurs every day it is not a full scale war, King Ethan Tirius has ruled for the last twelve years, his reign well regarded despite several tough decisions and personal conflicts the king has gone through. Magnificent creatures roam the land while the kingdom of man goes on, the rich flaunting their wealth and the poor just trying to survive.
To the north is the towering mountain range where few venture to as it is a death trap filled with vicious beasts and even more viscous weather conditions. It is said that dragons still thrive in these mountains, but none have been confirmed for years, only rumors and vague mentions. The most notable feature in this range is the remains of an ancient kingdom, said to be of an even older race which controlled all of Ecen and beyond it. The race went extinct many centuries ago, and the only evidence of their existence is the occasional relic unearthed from the land.
In recent days Ecen has been filled with conversation about a mysterious occurrence which drew the immediate attention of the king and a select few that were able to actually witness it. A strange noise filled the land, only falling into the ears of a few 'privileged' people, most notably the king, accompanying the noise was an eerie vision of fire and death, this was finally followed by an echoing roar of dragon. The occurrence was gone in an instant, and it has since been referred to as 'The Sounding'.
The King sent issued a announcement which carried through the land, ordering all who witnessed the Sounding to come to his castle at the capitol, Dragonstead Keep, immediately. These select few are in for many surprises along with an extravagant journey they could barely comprehend...
This will be a fantasy adventure RP focusing on a group of traveling characters from all walks of life. While I do want a wide range of characters in this RP I do recommend picking a character that can hold their own in combat, as that will be a part of this RP. Whether that be with a sword, axe, magic or whatever.
I'm still deciding if I will make it casual or advanced.
Rules:
1. No godmodding, metagaming, etc.
2. Minimum two paragraphs, proper grammar and spelling, character development and more.
3. Expect swearing, violence, gore and very dark plot points. Of course the guild rules still apply. Keep romance PG-13, so fade to black any sex scenes.
4. Original characters only, also no 'perfect' ones neither. People have flaws in real life, they do in this RP as well.
5. No fighting on the OOC. I'll happily help serve any disputes.
6. Maximum of two characters per person, also, your characters can die.
7. Don't just disappear from the RP please. If you are going to be unavailable to post then please tell me beforehand. If you disappear without a word for a week then you will be removed from the RP.
