Crypt’s Island



Crypt’s Island is full of mysteries. You're lucky enough to be stuck there with whole lot of strangers and a lot less hope. Life will get hard… people will die, but for some life will have just been beginning, others will find there home on this island. Forever. You are a person on Crypt’s Island, be you a Native or Survivor you will be fighting for your life. Batting off giant insects and climbing the steps of the ancient temple you’ll find a variety of things to do on the Island. There is more than one way to get off the island and not all of them necessarily mean you’ll make it alive. Crypt’s Island isn’t on the map for a reason, and no one will be looking for your group anytime soon, if you choose to be a survivor, but you may find a few secrets in the heart of the island that reveal these facts yourself. IF anyone ever makes it to the Armory there will be a more Sci-Fi aspect to the RP.

AREAS:

Beach Home: This is where the Survivors call home. They sleep here and call this stretch of beach a safe haven. This area is a safe zone and can be fortified to defend against attack. Some people have taken to building huts and even shops along the beach trying to establish a bit of normality. There are an abundant amount of trees around the beach and a variety of fish swimming in the bay.

Big Bone Ranch: A few Survivors would have taken up home here in the middle of the forest, though this would be a much more difficult start you would be the first to get access to the Armory. The Survivors here will be able to set up a home in the canopy of the trees relatively safe from anything on the ground. These Survivors will face a lot more difficult task such as fighting off the first of the native scout parties and maybe even a few conflicts with the other survivors. Big Bone Ranch has a small building in the center with a store of medicines, arms, and old clothing. People here will also not have to go to the Science Building before finding the Armory.

SHIPWRECK: The wreckage lies here, who know what could be found in all the shipping containers littering the beach and the water. Items may also be salvaged from the boat itself seeing as it's tipped over on its side there, who knows what's still good though.

Science Building: The Science Building is an old Government facility housing a variety of lab equipment and a lot of useful items that would assist the Beach Home, though the Science Building would make a good home in itself. The power generators there can be moved from one area to another and there is also a near limitless supply of water purification systems. There is also a good amount of stored foods here and a security system that can be reactivated for added security against the Natives should they be a problem. At the Science Building you will find a variety of notes and maps pointing to the Native Establishments and the Armory. Deep under the Science Building is a tunnel to Chance’s Underwater Bunker, and in this tunnel is a variety of gadgets and special items.

Shinoup Temple: This is a Temple that even the Natives will not explore and for good reason, it is a place of death as they say. If you travel deep enough into the depths of the Temple itself and retrieve the stones there, they say you will have a power only rivaled by the gods. Enter at your own peril, Each level has a different kind of Power Stone.

Death Fields: Nothing grows here. The land is black as though it has been torched and you can see nothing but land for miles. One could set up a home here but there isn’t much in the way of resources, The Natives call this ground sacred and will demand a battle on the Death Fields upon discovery of the Survivors.;

The Village: The Village is an old Settlement from the Scientist's Day’s on the island. Some stored foods and clothing can be found here along with a limited supply of guns and some water purification systems. The Village itself has an underground bunker chalk full of goodies but it would take a safe cracker or a person with knowledge of the island to get into it. These items will not be revealed untill someone figures out a way to open the bunker or Chance’s vists and brings something out see as he is the only one who knows the actual code to the vault door. There is a stop at this bunker/vault in the underground tunnel that connects the Government buildings.

Chance’s Underwater Bunker: This is where Chance lives. He does not normally bring anyone into his home and it can only be accessed by diving or by tunnel from a variety of locations. There is a Security System and a his Bunker is totally self sustaining, provided he fishes for his meals. Chance would only let people he trust’s dearly into his lair.
Chance’s Plane: This is the plane Chance’s Family landed on the island with when he was a child. He does not even know of its existence. This is one possibility of getting off the island but you would not be able to get more than 20 people off this way.

Snapbone Armory: A Secret Armory that is hidden in the middle of a labyrinth. If you make it through this Labyrinth alive you will find treasure beyond your wildest dreams, and items with properties you could never believe. These items are worth the risk. As is the information that can be found about Crypt’s Island here.

Sis Fort: Most of the Native Soldiers and government officials stay here along with some of the richer of their community. All there weapons and any advanced items they may have found lie here along with some of their own tribal relics which have extraordinary powers and properties. This will be one of the areas that only Natives can enter and any more information can be given later in the RP. Any Survivor trespassing here will be brought to Rasniffin and Judged.

Rasniffin: The capital and biggest city under the Natives control, it is in a state of almost advanced as they still stay in huts but some are even two stories, and they have a variety of marketplaces. In this place the Natives seem almost civilized, and it would take alot of trust to gain access to this inner city. Rasniffin is the name of all of the cities there but Rasniffin is also used to describe the main inner lying city, that housed most of their people and commerce. This got confusing even to the natives so they had taken to calling the land in between Rasniffin and the Fort, The Ras. The Ras is where some of the farming and agricultural native towns are. These Natives may be open to trade.

Pilou’s Lookout: This is the outcast Natives home and has everything they need to survive there. There is around 70 people made up of around 30 families and they are accepting of the Survivors if greeted without hostility and can be used to learn the Natives dialect. Here you can learn about the natives and their culture as well as gain a small access to the trade involved within the inner rings of The Ras. All Outcasts are covered in tribal tattoos to mark their crimes. While these Natives are accepting they will not tell you their knowledge on the island and its secrets. Many of these Outcast can no longer speak due to their tongues being taken.

Appearance: Has the natives outsiders tattoo under his right eye, a double crosshair in a circle right on his right cheek. This means he's made a peace agreement with the natives.

Skills:Diving, Fishing, Familiar with the Island entirely, Knows a lot about the Scientist that lived there. He has a genius IQ and loves making things. He might be able to fly the plane.
Starting location: Chance's Underwater Bunker
Bio: Chance is the son of two famous scientists that one day 20 years ago after the birth of their first son vanished off the face of the earth. Since the age of 7 when his mother and father died one day on an expedition out of their underwater home, Chance has been alone. He and the Natives have an understanding and he even knows a few of their trade dialects. He's lived this long without much of their help and they seem to keep to themselves as much as possible, apart from the outcasts.
He spends most of his days tinkering with his devices and the rest of them trying to find out why this island wasn't on any maps and more importantly why he couldn't leave it.
Personality:Chance is a friendly individual when you get to know him but he has a wicked poker face and an mean side when it comes to certain aspects of the island. He is a good friend if anyone should ever end up calling im that.
Relations: all close relations dead accept for one Outcast friend Nato who lives near his plane.
Personal Items: A huge store of science equipment. Clothes and a few nifty gadgets he's combined to have some crazy effects. Lets not forget about his private stash of Doomsday Goodies that are kept under a lock and key.

Skills: She is calm under pressure, has effective reasoning abilities, is efficient at cooking and taking care of herself and has decent fighting abilities when needed.

Starting location: Beach Home

Bio: Maddie was born into a rough home life. She never met her mother who was arrested for prostitution while pregnant. Maddie was born in jail and brought home by her father. Her father was never home, always working one of his three jobs or sleeping. She spent most of her time with her best friend, a boy who lived in the same trailer park. They would spend hours and hours pretending they were pirates in his back yard. Then she would go home and cook her own dinner and put herself to bed. She did decent in school and has always been comfortable being independent. She would occasionally get into fights with girls who would tease her because of her family life. She eased the depression of her life by partying. She never let it affect her schooling and she graduated on time her senior year. She immediately left home, having saved up money from numerous summer jobs. She headed to Hollywood to follow her dream of becoming an actress. She was , however, discovered by a modeling agency at one of her auditions. She eventually signed with them and was an instant success, becoming the face of numerous clothing lines ; even designing her own perfume. After a few years of fame in the modeling arena, Maddie tried acting again. Because of her fame, she landed a few roles and eventually hopes to be a lead actress one day.

Personality: Maddie is honest to the point that she is blunt and often puts people off. She likes to have a good time but usually drinks too much . She doesn’t judge anything about anyone. She likes to learn and will question everything. She is vegetarian and health conscious. She can be very private when dealing with her emotions and doesn’t always open up about herself easily.

Bio: Karl had always been a bit on the bigger side through life, which made him prone to getting picked on. After highschool Karl had decided to do something where he had more power than the people around him so he had gotten into bouncing at bars and clubs. There was one night that changed his life forever, there was a rowdy customer at the bar and he had to be escorted off the premises. When the customer got there he insisted that he wasn't leaving in fact he was dead set that he was getting into the bar. The customer than got aggressive and took a knife out of his pocket, that was when Karl punched the guy out. Karl knocked him out cold and broke his jaw with just one punch, the adrenaline and thrill he got from that one night brought him into the fighting profession.
Karl had been training for 6 months since the bar incident happened and has been loving it the whole time. It was his first ranked fight that he was going to, this was his first step to making a career out of fighting. One day he dreamed of making it into the Bellator or even UFC scene, this was his first step.

Personality: Everything that Karl has gone through in life has made him a little bit skeptical of new people at first. He is a good person deep if you get through all his barriers. He has a loud and deep voice that travels when he speaks.

@CLIW Depending on where you live may be a little different but the inner society isn't savage though some bands may be of course. So yes some are but not many, if you like you can create a Squanto like character with a juicy background, I say make them an outcast that way they know what life is like to have to hunt and gather on the island for yourself.

Bio: Clint stonewall was a capable and kind doctor, even in his earlier years of practice. He was an attractive man, but not in the way that doctors are portrayed in movies. He had begun developing wrinkle lines as early as his mid-twenties. They grew in the space where his eyebrows knit together when he focused through a pair of rimless glasses, engrained there by years of study and days spent in concern over his patients. His dark hair - which had started to recede - and naturally light skin-tone were bronzed by his days spent in the sun. It was so unlike the woman he would meet on a destined day at the lake. Her fiery hair could not possibly grow anymore red; her fair complexion only freckled in the daylight, concentrated at the bridge of her nose and growing outwards. Her name was fittingly Autumn.

The doctor was bewitched by her immediately, and the two feel deeply, sincerely in love. Their engagement came fast, and the birth of two daughters came soon after - Wynter and Summer. Tragically, their fierce happiness was fated to be cut short. After the birth of Summer, Autumn was found cold one morning in her bed. It is believed that she died from some rare illness, but the details of her death are still unclear.

Dr. Stonewall suffered deeply over the loss of his wife, but managed to cling to his love for his children to pull him through. Though his time was limited as a single parent, he did everything he could to provide his daughters with direction in their lives. He got them involved in things like dancing, and girl scouts to provide them with female mentors in their childhood. When he did have ample time to spend with them, he taught them many things about his work and shared his outdoor hobbies with them. Often, they camped at the lake where he first met their mother.

As a young girl, Wynter's heart was filled with compassion over the compelling tales of her fathers patients, and her mind was always bursting with curiosity on those odd days when he allowed the girls to accompany him to work and sit in his office. As her childhood wonderment matured, she began to question the circumstances of her mothers sudden death. She felt drawn to field of medicine, both to understand the loss of her mother better, and to be able to preserve and comfort others. She felt she would best fulfill this purpose as a nurse. Wynter began a nursing program immediately following high school and has completed the majority of her study, but is currently taking some time to work as a volunteer intern at the clinic where her father began his career.

Personality: Wynter is a rather soft personality type. She is reserved and soft-spoken, but bright and compassionate. She is sometimes easily frightened and not inclined towards violence, but able to work efficiently in a crisis.

Bio: The Brunewell Foster Home was a peaceful and respectable establishment, if one were to overlook the waiflike child by the name of Alexa who lived down the hall. Alexa was dropped off as a baby and grew up in the care of her foster parents alongside the mob of other rambunctious children. Even from a young age, she knew she wanted to be an artist, and she made sure to let her guardians know by re-decorating their walls with every crayon she could find. Her troublemaking didn’t stop there though. Alexa barely made it through high school without having to hide from authority on multiple occasions. Her graffiti, who most believed to belong to a young man, could be found all over the bustling city.

Despite her success, or infamy, depending on who you asked, Alexa was never caught by her foster parents nor was she satisfied. When she graduated high school and left the foster house at the age of 18, Alexa caught a lucky break and began to work on freelanced art. She made a living designing company logos, posters, and other advertisements for customers. Alexa also took up smoking at the age of 15 and hasn’t stopped since. Her athletic ability has been hindered by lung damage, but not extinguished.

Personality: Alexa is a bit mischievous and loud mouthed, but usually not with ill intent. She is usually optimistic in the face of adversary because of her self-confidence, but can become curt and brash if pushed too far. Overall, Alexa is used to taking care of only herself first, and will probably hesitate out of habit before sacrificing her safety for others.

Percy S. Drummond Jr.

Skills: Percy can take an animal and obtain all of the different cuts from it. He has a little knowledge in preserving, maturing and curing meats as well as cooking them. He has a small amount of knowledge in fishmongery as well in that, due to watching his father, he can gut, fillet and skin various kinds, although it's not a clean cut.
Starting location: Beach Home.

Biography: Percy Drummond was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. His father, Percy Senior, a relatively successful fisherman and fishmonger and his mother, a teacher who left the pair of them alone to fend for themselves while he was still young. It wasn't an easy upbringing, but his homelife was good, his father was a kind man who brought Percy up with a steady hand, doing his best to teach him right and wrong. His father sold what he could, but as times were moving on he found it harder and harder, what with the restrictions on fishing getting more and more tight. Eventually, the old man had sent his son away at the age of 16, as he had managed to get him a job as a butcher's apprentice. It was steady work and the pay managed to help him and his father stay afloat as the older Percy had given up on fishing and started a small fishmongery business, which was moving slowly.

It took a while, but Percy managed to get into the swing of things, he became a full time butcher and started his own business further away in Edinburgh. It was a steady one, but began bringing in more money after a while. At this point he was 20 and began travelling on holiday when he could. He wasn't especially an outgoing man but he desired to learn about his trade even more, and as such he travelled to several countries and many more exotic places and learned of many different animals, he even picked up a little more about gutting and filleting fish while he went on his travels, his father had only been able to teach him so much after all.

This is what led Percy to be on the ship that crashed and sank, he was on another trip of his, eager to be home and emotionally exhausted. He had cleaned his knives, sharpened them and replaced them in his briefcase when he decided a trip to the deck would be a good idea. He had picked up his briefcase, it was too valuable to leave alone after all, and walked calmly up the stairs. All of a sudden, something felt wrong. Deadly wrong. He raced to the top of the stairs and on to the deck just as the ship crashed into the beech. The force from the impact threw Percy overboard and into the water, only holding onto his briefcase with a vice grip. In the end it was that which saved him as it was water tight and buoyant. He was able, after a few moments clearing his head, to use it to swim to shore where he encountered the others who survived.

Personality: Percy can be a very quiet individual, solitary. However when he needs to, he can joke and laugh and be less of an introvert, this was a trick he developed to deal with customers in his shop, as one had to be outgoing in that situation. Once he gets to know people he is much louder and will speak freely, even joke, however to get him to that point one occasionally has to prompt him to conversation. In crisis situations, as soon as he can get his bearings, he is calm and collected and able to think clearly to a goal that would be beneficial. He is curious, always willing to learn about almost any subject.

Relations: Percy has only a father and very few friends. He does not usually go outside and when he does he talks little.

Personal Items: In a padded briefcase, Percy has an expensive, custom set of butcher's knives, a whetstone and a steel. These were given to him by his father and which he was able to obtain before the ship sank.
