No I just find children characters don't give me opportunities to role-play my characters effectively. It's hard to have a decent banter going with a child.

Well im thinking about making here like mutt of different species, but appears to be a human child. So she'll probably just sound and look like a child, but act and say stuff a grown person would.

Nah shes like a really old demon controlling a small child, the demon is in almost in complete control, the child not being able to control her body however.

Again it is not a child character it's a demon character in the guise of a child. Not the same thing as a child character with powers.

Thanks for that @Impaqt, that should help alot.

Also, @Skallagrim i think i figured what i want her to be like. Ill make her as close to a child as i possibly can, yet she has a sort of interactive sub-consiousness with a demon.

Children could have some fun banter, having less of a filter on what they say and having unique spins on things, being more creative then adults and such. Some characters obviously couldn't banter well with them if they are too serious or would be out of character to do such things with a child rather then just telling them to stop being a brat. It also depends on what classifies as a child. Naruto is 14 or something but is more reasonably acting like an adu-...okay, he doesn't act like an adult but other characters of his age do. I would say children would count as either before teenager or before adult according to the national standard for the US, so 17 and younger. If we go by that definition, though, I have mostly children characters.

I think shes gonna be 5, but she has really powerful magic, and while she.doesnt really know how to use it, the demon can help instruct her.

Edit: i also think a child character will be interesting, as i havent seen one in arena yet.

In a normal RP, that wouldn't fly. And personally, I probably wouldn't fight it either. That's just me tho. "5 year old with epic level magic; can't control it, demon helps" It just reads like a character that would cause problems in an RP, and not the good kind. xD

My youngest characters I'd probably play as would be around 8 to 12 where it's more reasonable if they are an awesome prodigy they can still kick some butt.

I mean like, she has alot of weaknesses, while having powerfull magics. She cannot take hits good at all, she doesnt even want to hurt her opponent, even when she has to, she is reluctant to do so. The only way she can possibly fight is if some other being ( the demon) helps her do so. And if your character has any kind of holy magic or weapon, or a cross, shes completely on her own, and pretty much screwed. And also, not neccesarily overpowered, because she can only exert as much magic as her body can handle at one time, being small, fragile and young can hinder her ability to do a significant amount of damage. Also, being young, she must exert great focus to use her magic in direct offensive.

And if you still fo not agree with this @Rilla, i could change it to where she has relativeley weak magic, but can use it often, and can hold duration magics for extended periods of time.

I don't even think 8-12 year olds are acceptable. I'm not stopping people from using them(So no, Barti, you ain't gotta change), but anime and the like has really put over young people with powerful abilities.

Ultimately what/who/how you use your character is up to you, in total.

Well, there isn't really an acceptance system in place for the arena as a whole, as its up to an individual's discretion to fight someone or not. I'm sure there will almost always be someone willing to fight any character, though making something which puts off most people will increase the difficulty of finding a fight.
