The Large Skyship started detaching all the fueling tubes and anchor arms. The pilot typed into his keyboard and then turned on his mic and said "Tower we are now free and floating" The town replied "Copy that Ship 541 you are clear for launch." The pilot replied "Copy that tower" The pilot then turned the ship and set out towards the next sky city. (everyone who is on the ship just have then walk around. People on the surface will hear sounds that are similar to thunder, but don't think much of it.)

Jonas stands up from his seat. He is wearing a colourful garish shirt with a picture of a setting sun, Khakis and olive green athletic shoes. Clearly his wife did not see what he had picked out.

Jonas politely scans the room, silently remarking to himself about the young age of his companions.

Choosing whom he assumes to be the most likely interesting conversationalist, he approaches Layla and says, "Hi, my name's Jonas. I'm going on vacation with my wife and kids to The Resort. Have you been there?" after she responds, (he wasn't really listenning yet) he asks, "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. Also, what do you do - I mean for a living?"

Layla smiled at the random stranger looking up from her equations for chemical reactions. "Oh. Hi my name is Layla. I am an archeologist and a scientist. I'm heading to send my research for the surface atmospheres compounds." She stopped she wondered if it would go over his head or not. Or if he cared for that matter. Most people thought all she did was guess work even with all her proof and research.

"Wow!" Jonas says, almost sounding sincere, "That sounds quite interesting. Do you have any hobbies? I've never bothered to make the investment, but I've always fantasized about modifying my arms. I even have some schematics done up. But look at me," he spreads his arms apologetically, "here I am, asking about you but telling you all about me. But really, what do you like to do for fun? Do you have any family?"

Layla was surprised a bit. Vacationing sure made people excited. She might have to go on a trip not work related some time. "Well my parents passed away not too long ago and I don't have any other family outside of them." She said closing her book putting it in her bag for the mean time. "My hobbies would have to be cooking and making blankets." She said smiling even though those hobbies sounded kind of boring.

"Well now that is interesting. My wife knits scarfs and socks for us. In fact, I'm wearing a pair of the socks she knitted for me, see?" He lifts up his khakis to show her the the colourfully knitted socks sticking out of his olive green sneakers. "We both cook. My specialty is small game, and she makes a killer turkey curry. She cooks turkey breast and shreds the meat, then mixes it with various veggies, raisons, and curry, then puts it all on rice vermicelli noodles. What is your favorite dish? Do you have any of those blankets of yours with you that you could show me?"

Alex was sitting in a chair fooling around with a old clock his father use to own. His father said that it couldn't be fixed. Alex didn't believe that and kept trying to fix it.

Layla pulled out a quilted blanket with fabric sown by hand. "Here is my newest one. I just finished it." She says showing him. My favorite dish is cho mien to be honest with you. Asian cuisine is fun for me." She said smiling. He wondered where his wife was but she could not see her.

"That blanket is beautiful. If your professional work is half as good as your hobby work, you will go very far! I can't wait till we arrive. I'm meeting my family at the city when we arrive there. Have you ever been to the Resort?" After her response, Jonas scans the room again. "Do you know any of these guys? That guy, or that guy?" he said, pointing first to Alexander, then to Uruka.

OOC: I assume the following character will die during the crash, or soon after as fodder. Feel free to control her. She is a typical busybody and friendly nurse.
Another woman, who had been reading a newspaper, looked up when Jonas pointed, and noticed him pointing to Uruka. She walked over to the pair, and introduced herself, "Hi, my name is Shenza. I'm a nurse. I actually work with Uruka - he's that one." She says, gesturing to Uruka. "Such a nice man. I hear he graduated top of his class!" Of course, being a gossip, she may have been exaggerating. "I got good grades too. Where did you two go to school?"

Jonas responds, "I went to the Micmac Institute of Technology."

Layla looked at the people he asked about shaking her head. "I dont leave my lab much these days. I set up a bed and room for my things there so I can do more reseaech." She said smiling to answer all his questions all at once in a sence. "I have many reports for that institute. I know it very well." She said looking over his exoskeleton a little closer.

Uruka sat in his seat, feeling slightly uncomfortable. He'd gone on this trip to get away from work and there she was - Shenza. He wondered if she had followed him, but this meant he wouldn't be able to relax properly. Shenza was a very talkative nurse, and no doubt she would be telling everyone about him after she pointed at him. Sure, he did get the best grades in his class, but that was not what mattered. What mattered was helping to save lives. Shenza seemed to have no grasp of the concept, and all that mattered to her was friendship and idle gossip.
He looked to his side, to see a man fiddling with a clock. Some sort of engineer or mechanic, I guess then... he thought. The man seemed to be taller than him and well built so Uruka could only deduce he worked in some labour-intensive job. I really hope he doesn't start talking to me...

Alex was ignoring everyone because he suddenly stopped messing with the clock. He had felt a slight shudder, not a large shudder but just enough to be slightly noticed and made a few drinks move. He then put his clock away and started heading toward the elevator that would take him to the engine room. He muttered "something isn't right"

"Layla, did you see that?" Jonas asked.

Shenza responded, "Oh I know, can you believe it?"

Jonas gestured at the man who was fiddling with a clock and said, "He looked worried, and just got up and went to that door. Isn't that how you get to the engine room? What could it mean?"

Layla sat up looking around when the man looked worried. "It could be anything....but it sure did not look good." She said putting on her seat belt worried. "You should get back to your seat." She said sounding a little worried. She has never been too far away from other settlements. They were in the middle of the sky at this point. This was going to be a tragedy if something went wrong.
