Hero had just finished wrapping a crewmate's burn received from working on the reactor. "You need to be careful around that reactor. You were lucky this time." He sent the crewman off and cleaned up the supplies he had pulled out. Not much had happened on the ship. It was quiet for a long time. It seemed the universe was at peace. Hero didn't know what else to do. His med bay was spotless, everything was re-organized, and the most trouble he had to deal with were minor burns and cuts. Life didn't seem to be too exciting at the moment. That was, until the captain of the ship called everyone to the bridge. Saying that we had an emergency response job and he needed to debrief all his head staff. Hero smiled, finally, there was something about to happen, and he would be on the front lines to see it. He walked to the bridge in a comely fashion, expertly hiding his emotions as he went. He wondered what it was going to be, but no matter. He would go. Once at the bridge he saluted the captain and told him that he was ready for duty.

"Beep!"Beep!"Beep!" "All crew members please report to the bridge." Adrian panicked and banged his head on the table he was hiding over. Wow some master of stealth. Everything has been so peaceful on the ship recently and when it's peaceful it's boring. So being the generous person Adrian was he decided he'd steal some extra food from the cafeteria every day and give them a detective case to have fun with. Sadly this only satisfied his boredom for a little bit. There was nothing worth enough to actually steal and get a rush. The only reason he hasn't gone crazy is that he hasn't had to delve into the demon world recently to sneak into somewhere so he's actually gotten to get to know his own team for once without being in extreme pain. He's also had a lot of time to practice with his shadow blades and now he can summon them almost instantly.

"Come on a boy's got to have a little fun." Adrian pleaded to the guard that looked like someone just ate the last cookie. Probably because the last cookie is stashed away in Adrian's room. "I mean it's probably a good thing I stole some food so know you can loose some of that weight." He said while poking the guards belly. The guard was setting his plasma gun to stun, his face as red as a tomato. Then "Beep!"Beep!""Beep!""I said ALL crew members get on the bridge NOW!!!" "Saved by the bell or alarm I guess." Adrian said to the guard, that Adrian didn't think spoke English, judging by the lack of responses.

Spinning slowly in his incredibly comfortable pilot chair, Aura lay back as he watched the bridge spin around him. Closing his eyes, he silently prayed for a chance to take the ship off of auto-pilot, before slowing his spins to a halt to stare out the cockpit at the dark, empty void of space. "Blegh," he grunted under his breath; whereas others would sometimes be scared, or driven insane, by the vastness of the void, Aura simply felt disgust and boredom. It's never good for a pilot to be bored; that's when crazy stunts happen. Come to mention it though, Aura wouldn't mind a bit of crazy to replace the current dismal mood.

Fortunately for the rest of the crew (who probably weren't wearing seat belts), Aura's prayers were answered as the captain entered the cockpit, explaining that he would be calling everyone in for a debriefing, and something about an emergency response job. Though Aura was calm and silent, simply nodding and activating the captain's intercom, his thoughts were screaming and cheering with joy. No random barrel rolls today! Giving the control panel in front of him one last look over, checking that all the lights that should be on were on, the meters that should be working were working, he signaled the captain that all was good as he relayed his message over the intercom.

The captain stood on the bridge waiting for his elite members to rally. After an acceptable amount of time had passed the captain looked upon the present members. 3. "There are only 3 members here!?" The captain rubbed his brow and sighed. Standing before him was his medic, Hero. His pilot, Aura, and his infiltrator Adrian. Though, this current line up wouldn't be bad considering the message he had received. "Alright men. We recently received an emergency communication from a military group a few sectors from here. Turns out that they received a distress signal from a colonizing planet and are trying to find someone to rescue them. They can't go because there commander insists that his mission is far more important and can't spare the crew. He was however, willing to pay us a decent sum of money to see if we could do anything." He looked at his little group in front of him. They all looked so excited, he guessed that they would go even if they didn't get payed. The captain kept this in mind as he played the distress signal.

"Hello?.. an..on..there?..S.S we need immedia...evac...help us plea... (Indistinct screaming in the background)"

As you can see, you will be flying in blind if you so choose to accept this mission. If you do accept, then take the "Mighty Light" (a small fast ship equipped with photon beams and a generous docking bay) We will wait around orbit in case you need to evacuate. With that, he dismissed the motley crew and ordered Aura to take them to the corresponding sector.

Aura had dutifully got out of his seat to join the others, leaving the ship on auto-pilot for the time being while he listened to the captain. Standing beside his fellow crew-members, he listened intently to the distress signal as it played through the speakers. Difficult to pick out a lot of information, he thought to himself, his mind trailing as he tried to piece together what was going on. It's clear they're in a tight spot; after all, something had to have blocked out most of that message.

He was brought back to reality all of a sudden when he heard the captain mention the Mighty Light. Aura had always had a good time with that small ship. Oh, the manoeuvres I'll pull off with that bad boy. After having been dismissed, he nodded his head to the others before they left, and then quickly returned to the helm, leaping back into his chair taking the ship out of auto-pilot. Hearing the captain's order, Aura designated the sector in question, prepping the ship's drive core and readying it for lightspeed, following a resounding "Aye-aye captain!".

Giza was surrounded by machinery and the so called operators who were supposed to work them. They kept buzzing around telling her not to touch the vital power source or don't mess with the engines and recently they came up with some bull about the captain needing her. That last part ticked her off, "We're in empty space and about to jump, don't make up stuff about distress calls!" She snapped at them and was about to upgrade their fuel lines when a higher up stepped in and gave her a look. "Heh looks like you weren't lying at all and I'm in trouble now..."

Giza scrambled into the main bridge looking the part of a mechanic, grease smudges and oil stains all over and a smell that was fairly unappealing. "So distress signal, thats real huh? I assumed that the guys just wanted me out of the left engine room.... They don't like how I keep upgrading things." She chattered nervously until she realized that she was either being ignored or stared at by everyone in the room.

Boarding Mighty Light and Preparations

After the captain had dismissed everyone from the briefing Hero left for his Med-Bay. He would need to stock up on all the usually essentials seeing that there were probably going to be a lot of casualties when they got there. He was so busy preparing that he almost didn't notice the ship go warp speed. "Let's see. Medical Tape, check. Extra casings of pain killer, check. Torch and bone saw operational, check." Hero had to make sure that his whole kit checked out before every mission. He couldn't afford for there to be malfunctions with his mechanical parts. He remembered that day so clearly.

His parents and family were dead, killed in the initial invasion, all he had left was his father's med bag and a first aid kit inside. With that in hand, Hero stood there in a shattered building looking on the warzone before him. A group of people were desperately trying to hold their ground against an oncoming invasion of aliens. They were successful, but one of the members had suffered substantial injuries that would have been fatal. Hero, knowing the danger that man was in, stupidly ran across the short expanse nearly getting shot. When he arrived, everyone in the group was confused. There before them, was a teenage boy with a med bag in hand. One of the members, thinking that he brought the bag reached for it. He was even more surprised when Hero stopped him from grabbing the bag and opened it himself. He examined the injured man's body, multiple bullet wounds were in his shoulder, which weren't fatal. What he was most afraid of was the large amount of shrapnel that peppered his body. Hero took out some sterilized gloves and began to operate. The man was obviously in pain, and the crew stared at Hero dumbfounded as they watched this teenage boy expertly save their captain.

Hero smiled, then rubbed his robotic arm. His life had changed in more ways than one that day.

Finally finished with his check log Hero left the med-bay and made his way to the cargo bay where they stored the Mighty Light. Hero wasn't a fan of flying, but he did enjoy space travel. He was pretty happy about the mission, what bothered him the most was the pilot, Aura. He shuddered knowing what was in store for him. Hero had gotten much better at not throwing up during the random barrel rolls and flips Aura would pull off, but it still made his stomach churn. He made it to the docking bay only to see that the pilot was already going through his mandatory flight check list inside the ship. Hero boarded the ship, said Hi to Aura, then sat down in one of the designated chairs. Once seated, he gave himself a weak sedative to help him survive the inevitable flight down to the planet. Once that was over he sat back and began to relax. Waiting for the other members to show up. He hoped Giza would sit next to him. Hero was very grateful that Giza had built this special arm for him. He also thought her attractive, but he would never admit it. What really grabbed his attention were Giza's eyes. He was very curious why the way they were, but he never bothered to ask her why. It was a mystery to him, and something about it being a mystery is what intrigued him.

The thrill of warp travel always got Aura exceptionally pumped for any mission, no matter how dire; as the ship eventually slowed to signal it's arrival at it's destination, Aura could feel his blood surging through his body. This is going to be fun! Once he had set the ship back into auto-pilot, patting and consoling the dashboard a few times while muttering, "I'll be back soon, you gorgeous piece of machinery," he hefted up a small bag of supplies from under the main console (he always kept one ready at his desk in case of emergency) and set course for the cargo bay.

Marvelling at the perfection that was the Mighty Light for a few moments, he quickly shook himself out of his reverie before hurriedly rushing inside, chucking his bag into his designated locker. Once that was done, he got to work on his mandatory flight check list, zipping around the ship hurriedly so that he could get a hold of the controls as soon as possible. Focused on his work, he almost forgot to say hello in response to Hero as he walked past, evidently heading towards his seat. Is it just me, or did he look queasy? Probably just had a bad lunch. Or none at all.

Adrian awkwardly walked around his room wishing he had a list to check off. He scanned his room and in his head he thought "clothes, check... the end." He had payed the Mighty Light a visit earlier only to discover it was completely empty. So he went back to his room and then did, well absolutely nothing. Until he fell asleep.

"Aww what time is it?" Adrian sleepily asked. He glanced at his clock and assuming it would be early, immediately turned to go back to bed. But wait did he see that right? "I'm late!" Adrian screamed as he popped out of bed. He sprinted over to the docking bay only and almost fell into the Mighty Light only to discover an already sick looking Hero and an excited Aura just sitting there. "Well I guess I'm not gonna get the worm, but since when was I an early bird." Adrian mentioned trying to pretend he wasn't out of breath.

After everyone had gotten themselves seated inside the ship, Aura made the last few checks of the engines and thrusters before setting aside his clipboard and shifting himself up into the pilot seat, spreading his hands out across the dashboard. "Buckle up, everybody," he called back, before inputting the co-ordinates for the planet of Gameia, within the Corath sector... At least, that's what the captain had told him anyway. I cannot be blamed for getting lost. Not entirely anyway.

Engaging the thrusters and activating the drive sequence, Aura turned his chair around to check that all the passengers were ready, giving them two thumbs up before spinning back around. When the warp drive had heated up and was revved to go, he began pressing the various buttons, sealing the doors closed and slowly lifting the Mighty Light off the ground. With one push of the throttle, he flew the ship straight out the hangar doors, aligning towards the chosen destination before engaging warp speed, feeling the ship surge forward with incredible velocity.

"Ugh!" Adrian felt like someone just sucker punched him right in the gut. Well someone kind of did, Aura just made a sudden stop. "Alright I can see why you like doing barrel rolls, but random stopping, now your just trying to get to throw up." Adrian said while almost vomiting everywhere mid sentence. "Well you won't have to worry about anymore because we're here." Aura said arrogantly. Adrian would punch him except he was still very wobbly and he didn't feel like giving that jerky wall an uppercut again.

Adrian looked out the window saw absolutely nothing except space and then decided he was going to punch Aura, even though his legs felt like the jelly he "borrowed" from the ship's cafeteria. Except when he got onto the pilots deck he saw it. A giant planet that looked like it was in no danger whatsoever. "If this is another mission where we have to get someone's cyborg cat out of a tree, that cat is gonna lose a few parts." Adrian angrily as he stared at Hero remembering the urgent mission he sent him on last month.

Hero tried his best to remain calm, but it just wasn't possible, at least with Aura at the wheel. Hero never liked it when Aura drove, the bored but amazing pilot always did a few extra unnecessary things along the way. If it weren't for the weak sedative in his system, Hero might have actually passed out from anxiety, and vomited along way. He looked over at Adrian who was fairing as well as Hero was. He smiled slightly, thankful to know that he wasn't the only one suffering from the flight. The shipped came to a slow halt, and Hero watched as Adrian got up and went to the pilot room. Knowing Aura, Hero didn't risk unbuckling. The seat belt was the only thing keeping Hero from heave-hoing all over the cargo section. He just hoped that they would be landing soon.

As he sat there, he looked out the window and saw the planet that loomed before them. It looked peaceful and calm, but Hero hoped somewhat that the signal was true. He didn't want to get down there to only find that everything was destroyed and that all the villagers would be dead. A small clink on the outside of the ship interrupted Hero's thoughts. Looking through the other window on the ship, Hero could see something in the distance. Curious to get a better view, he risked un-buckling himself to get closer to the window. Another small clink outside the ship. His eyes widened when he saw what was coming. He turned around and shouted to Aura, "Meteor Shower! 6 o'clock!"

Aura was about to glare at Adrian for bursting into his pilot room uninvited, but was interrupted when he heard the cry from Hero about the impending meteor shower. Oh boy... Looking at his radar, he saw the shower quickly headed straight for the ship. Gesturing for Adrian to run back to his seat, he swiftly took the controls, pushing on the throttle and zooming the ship down towards the planet. As the meteor shower quickly engulfed them, Aura cursed under his breath as he began making every manoeuvre he could, descending to the planet surface fast.

As he broke the atmosphere, narrowly escaping the meteor shower, Aura's eyes went wide at the sight of the planet up close. What at first appeared to be peaceful and calm, became suddenly rocky and jagged, with nary a landing spot in sight; and the Mighty Light wasn't slowing down. "Buckle up guys," Aura cried to the others, as he did his best to pull up, keeping an eye out for a landing spot. Unfortunately, he didn't pull up fast enough, as he felt the ship surge forward after scraping across the top of a large jagged rock poking up from the surface. Quickly losing control, Aura steadied as best as he could, until the ship eventually landed with a crash at the bottom of a steep, rocky mountain. "Sorry!"

"Uuuhhhh, what happened." Adrian moaned as he woke up to a sharp pain in his head. Maybe trying to fight the person that had your life in their hands was not a good idea. Adrian sat up and looked around realizing they either must've had to crash land in the middle of the mountains due to the meteor shower, or Aura really wanted to make him and Hero throw up on each other. Adrian scanned the mountains for a village or a sign of a struggle but he saw nothing. This planet must be a little more natural than he expected. Adrian had always looked to Hero for guidance since he was who brought him onto the team after Adrian stole some medical marijuana for his friends. Plus Hero looked like he knew what to do right now so Adrian obediently waited for orders.

Hero managed to almost get his seatbelt on before Aura tried to start avoiding the meteors. Of all the times that he took his seatbelt off, (Adrian too) became a nightmare for him. Already, Aura started emergency maneuvers which threw Hero and Adrian around like rag-dolls. Of course they bumped into eacother a few times, and at one point Adrian's head made solid contact with the metal frame on Hero's body. Hero wasn't surprised to see Adrian out could from a hit like that. As soon as they entered the atmosphere though, the gravity suddenly got stronger and Hero along with Adrian (Mid-air) got slammed onto the floor of the ship. Hero was so close to losing his meal, but he desperately fought it. Eventually, they made it to land, among the mountains, in a smoking crater.

Hero eventually got up, he didn't know how long he was down, but he didn't care. He could hear Aura in the pilot room apologizing. Hero didn't care, at least they were alive, but where were they now? He looked around, mountains on all sides, it seemed that Aura managed to land in a valley. He looked around, there was, what seemed like a lake and odd looking vegetation a few hundred feet off, however, Hero quickly turned his attention to Adrian. He breathed a sigh of relief as he watch Adrian slowly get up and walk around. That alone solved most of his worries about possible damage, and concussion (his biggest fear at the moment) was off the list. Once they had all gotten out of the ship Hero could tell that the other 2 were looking at him. Waiting. Waiting for what? He wondered, then it dawned on him. It seemed that both Adrian and Aura were awaiting orders. Hero scratched his head, he suddenly felt nervous. How could this be, why did they look to him for guidance? He was a teenage boy still. He let out another sigh knowing that he couldn't change their minds so he went along with it. "Adrian, I need you to go to the vegetated area over there and bring back some of the liquid and plants over there. Bring back as many different plants as you can, and wear gloves while doing it." Hero knew that plants made great medicine and healthy sources of food, but he also knew that plants had some of the most dangerous poisons known in the universe. He then looked at Aura, "Aura, do a check on the ship and see if communications are still up. I'll look for our provisions and supplies."

Adrian wondered where their other crew member,(Giza) was while he gathered plants. She was on the ship when they left except she disappeared when they crash landed. He tried to focus on collecting the plants when he noticed a strange metallic looking plant he'd never seen before. Adrian definitely didn't know plants properties and exactly what each plant is like Hero, except Adrian has seen a good number of planets and he's never noticed a metal looking plant before. He looked at the plants he gathered and decided he didn't have a good number of plants but he did have enough so he went back to the ship so he could ask Hero about the metallic plant.

It was a good thing Adrian had left when he did, since he hadn't realized how far he'd travelled and he got back right before nightfall. It looked like Aura was still working hard on the ship just like when Adrian left except Hero was just standing there staring at the plant Adrian had found. Hero explained to Adrian that it was a manmade material made of metal, plant fibers, and a nexus core. Apparently they were very rare and had many different uses.

Adrian laid awake on his bed playing with the plant he had found. "What did Hero call it oh yea Newood." The Newood suddenly turned back to the flat form it was in when he found it. "So it reacts to commands" Adrian wondered out loud."Turn into Aura. It turned into a little girl."Perfect, I think we're gonna get along just fine." Adrian said admiring the humor of the Newood.

Aura watched in horror as the two passengers slowly got to their feet, scratching his head as he waited for them to steady themselves and get their bearings. Waiting patiently, he pretty much already knew what he was going to do when he got out of his chair, but Aura had the common courtesy to wait for someone to at least give him orders first. But no matter what they say, my baby comes first. He was relieved to hear the Hero wanted him to check on the ship anyway, and so he hopped out from his chair and rushed out the open door.

As he meticulously went over every inch of the ship, summing up the damage, he couldn't help but feel undermanned without Giza helping him with repairs. Releasing a light sigh, he put that thought in the back of his mind as he got back to work. "Damn meteor showers, ruining my day..." As he worked well into the night, seemingly tuning out everyone else as he worked, he began to inspect the surrounding landscape to calm his mind, admiring the beauty of the jagged, mountainous region they had landed in.

Hero continued to rummage through the wreckage of supplies in the cargo section of the ship. The crash landing had sent everything flying and many containers had open, their contents littering the space. Rummaging around he found some of the survival supplies and the gun chest. entering the code, the chest opened with a slight beeping sound. Inside were 5 Photon Rifles, 6 Phase pistols, a few nexus grenades, and land to space satellite launcher. Closing the chest back up, he grabbed the 250 lbs chest and with the help of his robotic inserts, lifted the chest fairly easily over his head and walked out with the weapons. Once he had set them outside, he went back to the cargo bay to find the survival equipment. As he continued rummaging through, he eventually found it the crate labeled survival and took that massive crate out of the craft as well. Once he had set it on the ground he opened it and pulled out a fairly large grey cube. Finding an appropriate flat space he placed it on the ground, typed in the code and stepped back. The cube opened up and began release its contents. After a few minutes, a small but sturdy and air-conditioned/heated hut stood before them. Hero loved technology in all its glory.
He continued to go back through the cargo bay, and he rounded up all the ration packs and water cells. Little did he know, but night had fallen and he didn't even notice, that was until Adrian came back with a strange metallic plant. Classifying it a Newood, he left Adrian to his own designs and began to experiment on the various plant articles that Adrian had brought back. Some were useful for food, others for painkilling, there was 1 he couldn't figure out so he just let it be. Once he had finished Hero finally felt the day's work catch up with him. After eating an uneventful dinner, he crashed on hi bed and fell asleep.
Once it was morning, Hero woke up and prepared for the day. He stepped outside only to find that it was raining. He grumbled slightly and woke the others up. Once everyone was up, he opened the weapons chest revealing its contents. Upon hearing Aura's report on the ship, the comm system was down and the ability to fly was out of the question. Looking at the satellite launcher Hero asked Aura to make a mini 2-way comm unit to attach to the satellite so that they would be able to communicate with Nova HQ. He asked Adrian to do a perimeter check with him to make sure that there wasn't any nearby danger.

"I bet everyone at HQ died." Adrian teased Hero. He loved pushing people's buttons and since Aura wasn't here Hero was his next best option. Adrian had done perimeter searches before, except doing them with Hero felt like someone was slowly removing a sword from his chest. Hero checked every single inch, and expected every tiny thing that was slightly abnormal, even though it was normally a rock or a spot where the sun shone weird. Adrian liked Hero so he helped him be a super detective for about an hour and then he pretended to care for like 10 minutes. But seriously who does he 2 hour perimeter check.

When Hero stopped again Adrian thought nothing of it and let him expect it by himself. However after a few minutes Adrian got kind of worried you should never let your partner out of your sight even if he was being annoying. Adrian focused pulled his shadow blades out from the demon world and than charged in the woods to save his friend from whatever creature Hero had encountered.
