@babbysama I'm not sure she would count as a member of your dynasty then, I assumed marriage alliances didn't turn over the character.

@Thrashy might have to elaborate and how he intends marriage alliances to work.

@Aristo Forgot to ask---do you mind if the Queen Dowager for Öspa is a Xiang princess? Are you cool with a marriage alliance? I was thinking of naming her Yixin.

My current Queen Regnant is just 28 and her sons are infants. The king is deceased and she has not remarried since; she's got her attention on ruling the Xiang and consolidating her rule. If you would like, your character could be a relative of the former king's as part of an older arrangement. Or, I could add a princess to my sheet and betroth her to one of your royal children?

@Aristo I think the latter would be the best, and it could make for an interesting plot development, as Thrashy wrote one of my vassals as wanting to wed the young king. So yeah, I think the betrothal path would work best, if that's all right with you.

I'd like to see what Thrashy says about marriage alliances tho

@Aristo Accepted, but I didn't see anything related to your Flaw "Not a flawless family 2" in the sheet. You should elaborate on that.

Regarding marriage alliances: you do with them what you will. There will be nothing binding about them system-wise; your dynasty has one of its members in another court, that's all. Breaking that alliance will probably have consequences, but it's really up to the players involved.

I will be working on vassals and catching up today.

Vassals of the Kingdom of Brunydd

House Mossgrim
Ruled by Blair Mossgrim, Duchess of Killdeerwood. The Duchess is an old crone of 70, infamous to her heirs for her stubborn refusal to die. She is known first and foremost for her greedy nature, never giving anything except for in exchange for something else, but also for her big family. The Duchess of Killdeerwood has burned through six husbands throughout her life and has given birth to no less than thirteen sons, most of which are unwed.

The Mossgrims have been around for ages and have always been loyal to the crown, though some times at a cost. It is well known that they are looking for suitable wives for their host of sons, a fact that they usually remind everyone about as soon as something is wished of them.

House Blackthorne
Ruled by Horg Blackthorne, Duke of Cravencourt. The Duke is a sickly young man of 22, only recently risen to power after the mysterious death of his three older siblings. He is currently without wife or heirs, but it is said he has several bastards around the fief. It is also said that the Duke is a vile sadist, and that he is keeping a personal dungeon beneath his keep.

The Blackthornes ascended to nobility only two generations ago when they overthrew the former lords and ladies of Cravencourt in a coup. Their founder was close friends with the King at the time, and thus got away with the fell deed. They have however proven their loyalty to the current ruler of Brunydd.

Let me know if the vassals are to your liking.

They're sweet. I like the grim nature of both, especially the feminine Walder Frey.

Vassals of the Xiang Dynasty

House Beiling
Ruled by Shin Beiling, Chancellor of Xiaoming. The Chancellor is an intellectual man of 35, best known for being a descendant of the illustrious Lei Beiling who wrote the famous book The Principles of Power a hundred years ago. Shin is married to Mei, 32, and they have a daughter called Im, who is 12 years old.

The Beilings have been one of the greater families of the Huaren people for a long time. Indeed, they once served the realm as the ruling dynasty. Their sway over politics is great, but they have shown no aspiration for resuming leadership and are loyal to the Xiang.

House Mailan
Ruled by Han Mailan, Chancellor of Shurpei. The Chancellor is a stalwart man of 45 and has previously been a general of renown in the royal army. His wife died while giving birth to his third child, Jiang, ten years ago. Apart from this son he has two daughters; Fen, 25, and Shu, 18.

The Mailans have only recently become a political force in the realm, but they already had a strong relation to the army thanks to Han’s previous career. Some say the former general has a mindset differing from the ruling dynasty; that he is hateful of the people previously inhabiting Huaren lands, but the family haven’t yet given cause for suspicion and has thus far been loyal to the Xiang.

Looks good to me! Though Chinese and other East Asian names follow a surname->given name format. I just rearranged them in my NS.

Vassals of Dela Ah Mons

House Mimer
Ruled by Luca Mimer, Chieftain of Bifrost. The Chieftain is a young man of 24, known for his love for peace and quiet… and gold. While not a common obsession in the realm, Luca is absolutely addicted to precious metals and jewelry. He has a wife called Julia, 26, and together they have two children; their daughter Sia, 5, and their son Cesare, 2.

The Mimers are one of the richest families in Dela Ah Mons, which isn’t surprising as they control the only trading hub in the realm. Some say they could buy the kingdom several times over, but they have made no such implications and are loyal to the Queen.

House Ymer
Ruled by Ulena Ymer, Chieftain of Westwood. The Chieftain is a grizzled warrior of 35, known for her prowess in battle and her hateful ways towards outsiders. Indeed, were it up to Ulena the Men of the Woods would go to war tomorrow, or so some say. She has yet to marry or conceive children, but has got a younger brother called Ario, 26.

The Ymers are all somehow involved with violence, be it in defending the realm or policing the population. They have been outright aggressive towards foreigners in the past, but have been calmer in recent years. They have also always been loyal to the Queen.

Wasn't sure which culture you wanted for the names, so I mixed something up. Let me know what you think.

Sad, but ok.

On another note, here are...

...the Vassals of Lucrum

House Galini
Ruled by Alessandro Galini, Duke of Meratus. The Duke is an old man of 59 and has a wife called Gianna, 56. Together they have a daughter called Julia, 20. Despite his marriage, the Duke is rumored to be a womanizer of some degree, having spawned numerous bastards around the realm.

The Galinis are the original founders of Meratus and are extremely rich; perhaps the richest family in Seyan. Even in other kingdoms, the saying goes “as rich as a Galini” about wealthy individuals. It is said that the family holds a fortune even greater than the royal treasury, but they are themselves silent on the matter. They have proven their loyalty to the crown several times and have given no indication of change.

House Vorus
Ruled by Giovanna Vorus, Duchess of Dyno. The Duchess is an old woman of 57. She has been married twice but is a widow today. Her three heirs are her sons Julius, 32, Marco, 30, and Falco, 29. It is said that the three sons are always squabbling about the considerable heritage their mother will leave behind when she passes, and that they have tried assassinating each other more than once.

The Vorus's are a relatively new family of nobles in Lucrum, having ascended only two generations ago. They are known for their wide web of connections across Lucrum and other nations. The information these connections have provided have been of great importance to the royal family, and the Vorus family have always shared them freely.

Let me know what you think.

And with that, I can go on and start constructing the OOC, methinks. Please stand by!

OOC not up yet, but from what Thrashy just said he's working on it.

As far as I know there are still spots open, especially since we just had someone drop out. Check the map further up the page.

As for large independent vassals, I don't know how that will work. I'd advise you to ask Thrashy.
