Vanessa looked over at the boy when he'd started talking, having rushed out with a plate of waffles in his hands as if he had meant to give them to her while she was outside, merely stretching her legs. How she'd stood in the road, one could imagine a pair of torn and bloody white wings extending from her back, like a drawing that someone had once shown her. It was how they'd seen her and she'd promptly stopped talking to them shortly afterward, avoiding them to try and keep her distance from them as best as she could. "Worse meaning that I could die." It wasn't a question, she'd already known exactly what it was that he had meant; he wasn't the first to say it though he might be the first that she didn't tell that she didn't care too.

"I think Paisley can handle all of you, she's pretty independent and a few of you are just too sweet to try anything with her." Vanessa laughed quietly as she looked back out over the field of grass, her hands shoved into her sweater pockets. It wasn't often that any of them had seen her without a sweat of some sort on, and usually she'd get dressed shortly after the boys got out of bed; she'd never worn a bathing suit with them either. She hadn't told them anything about her life before leaving home and meeting them for a reason; she meant to leave it behind.

"Sure. I'll be more careful if it makes you all feel better." The poet looked over at the older boy and smiled at him, a smile that she had used before though it looked very genuine when she used it and instead of simply allowing him to say anything else she bumped him on the arm with her elbow quietly, playfully. "So did ya come out here to walk with me or am I being summoned back into the bus?"

He'd actually considered telling them. That was the scary part. If he actually told them, would they believe him.

Probably not. You? The goofy boy who always makes us smile and is always smiling himself? You're joking! This is a prank! He finished his waffles, sighing. It was awfully quiet. Too quiet.

"And then the world ended because there was such silence awkwardness. Inside a band bus. A band bus. Great job guys!" Leo gave them a thumbs up and a smile.

"Worse meaning that I could die."

Orion flinched slightly at the bluntness of Vanessa's words, not quite surprised at her bluntness but still, that doesn't make it any easier to swallow. "Yeah," he murmured, looking at Vanessa with a remorseful expression at what he viewed as his own words being perceived as impolite. Orion bit his lip lightly, listening to her continue.

"I think Paisley can handle all of you, she's pretty independent and a few of you are just too sweet to try anything with her."

"Well as independent as Paisley is and as sweet as a few of us are, I'd be a bit worried about her sleeping in the same caravan as a bunch of party-goer immature boys in their 20s without a mysterious dark bad-ass poet like you nearby," Orion laughed in return, his chuckles drifting off to a more serious happiness hearing Vanessa continue.

"Sure. I'll be more careful if it makes you all feel better."

"Thanks, make sure you do," Orion said with a warm smile, moving some hair out of his eyes as he did.

"So did ya come out here to walk with me or am I being summoned back into the bus?"

"Well...." Orion started, thinking. He hadn't really completely thought through what he was going to do beyond seeing how she was. "How about if you give in to eating some waffles I won't try convincing you to come back to the bus, and you can choose if I walk with you or not," he grinned, holding out his plate with a smile.

"Pretty sure that that is not a legitimate cause of death. Just saying." Paisley pulled her slipper clad feet up to the seat so she could rest her head on her knees. I say this because if it was I feel as if we would all be six feet under at the moment. But again, I could be wrong. I mean, what do I know? She laughed as she looked over at Leo.
