"War, War never changes."

In the days after the war many factions began to gain power, the Brotherhood of Steel, the New California Republic, and the Enclave. However with the Brotherhood divided, the NCR having just barely beaten the Legion, and the Enclave having been pushed almost to the brink of extinction. The NCR would out the western Brotherhood after the fight letting them leave in peace. Destroying or taking all their tech left to meet with the East coast Brothers.

This newly united brotherhood fell under the rule of Elder Lyons as his forces had proved the largest and most prepared. With the Brotherhood moving North towards New York and other hubs of technology, the South-East of the United States has seen the return of the Enclave. With small stations of Brotherhood troops being wiped out before they could report the return of the old enemy.

Supermutants had evacuated after their hideouts discovering, now more and come from further in South, up from Florida. Mercenaries and other groups have taken to fighting them off but with the Enclave impressing soldiers and killing those who will not serve more and more have entered the Carolina’s.

With the southeast in conflict it will take a brave few men and women to sort out this mess, more than just a lone wanderer. It will take some big damn heroes to build up a force that can stop the return of Enclave. So if you're satisfied with your choices, let us begin.

*******

Hello, this is a roleplay set about twelve years after Fallout 3. If I get enough interest I’ll post up a character sheet, the basic idea is a group of wanderers are trying to stop the Enclave. I’d like to world build the cities and enemies with the players. Will also be looking for Co-GM’s.

My goal here is to a do a sort of Fallout RP with the wanderers having to use there skills to try and bring peace to the area. With the Brotherhood's few remaining troops in hiding or dead and other groups being pushed back it's up to our new Hero's to restore hope and find a way to combat these new threats.

Name: Arryn Quinn
Age: 37
Gender: Female

Appearance:

Home: Formerly of the Mojave Wasteland

Skills:
-Guns
-Explosives
-Melee Weapons
-Repair
-Survival

Background: Born in the Mojave, Arryn and her sister Patrice enlisted in the Desert Rangers at the age of sixteen. Patrice ended up being transferred to the NCR Mobile Infantry, eventually dying in the First Battle of Hoover Dam, but Arryn became an accomplished Ranger. With the Ranger Unification Treaty, Arryn took part in dozens of joint operations with the NRC Rangers, including the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. With the Legion in full retreat she, along with many Desert Rangers, requested permission to pursue the enemy across Arizona. These requests were denied and some Rangers, feeling the the Legion threat was not yet over, ended up deserting their posts and crossing the Colorado anyway. Arryn was one of those Rangers. Over the next few years she, and her comrades pursued the Legion until it completely fell apart into warring factions and tribes. The job done, the former Rangers went their separate ways, some even returning to the NCR to face punishment for desertion. Arryn continued heading east until she found herself in the Carolinas.

Equipment:
-Desert Ranger Combat Armor (all insignias and rank badges have been removed)
-Brown Ranger Hat (No insignia)
-Combat Knife
-Modded Hunting Rifle (Scope, Custom Action and Extended Magazine)
-Ranger Sequoia

Name: Achilles Hobbs

Age: 47

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Home: Northern Virginia

Skills:
Guns
Repair
Survival
Melee

Background: A semi-local drifter. Achilles' parents were raiders, and worse, they were well read raiders. They thought they were better than most people out there, less ignorant. But they were just as violent. Achilles grew up as part of a wave of children named from characters from various ancient epics. Growing up was bloody and even the children followed the rule of survival of the fittest. Achilles was somewhere in the middle of the food chain, but he held up among the bigger and stronger children by being more resilient than most. When he was a teenager he was involved in raids, and that was how he was separated from his tribe.
They ambushed the wrong caravan, and lost the fight. Achilles survived, as he always did, but was left to die in the waste. He was picked up by the next passing caravan, who didn't realize who he was. He never said, but took the kindness and has been living his life paying it forward since then. He wanders around, doing odd jobs, usually wet work. He tries to work for "good guys" but sometimes it's hard to tell.

Equipment: The clothes on his back, a 44 revolver and a lever action rifle. A canteen for water, a utility knife.

I'm interested. One question, though: how would I justify a character coming from the west coast? I mean, there's Tornado Alley and The Divide and dozens of miles of Raider territory, radiation-blasted pits, dustbowls, and desert between North Carolina and California.

I'm sure they wouldn't be the first to make that journey. In fact, Suzy's character is stated to have done so. I don't think you need to justify it at all. We can assume the trip isn't easy, but it's not impossible. Especially with groups like the Brotherhood and NCR trying to civilize the wasteland. There's a good chance there's some sort of road or system to get people across.

But the NCR canonically aren't anywhere on the East Coast, and the first (and only) time the Brotherhood tried to make the journey east (in GIANT ARMORED ZEPPELINS), they were very nearly wiped out thanks to the constant tornadoes and splintered into multiple chapters.

I'm thinking of a character with sort of a knight in shining armor aesthetic. Specifically, a knight of an order based out of Fort Kamelot, a hotbed for bioweapon testing.

@Earnest Evans Actually only one of the Zeppelins fell. The others made it intact.

This is true. However, that was the main zeppelin, and it was nearly completely destroyed by one of the many storms covering Tornado alley. I'm assuming that the other Zeppelins made it through dumb luck. For people on-foot without the benefit of being above the cloud-line, I'd imagine making it across America is something doable only through a miracle.

After all, the only stuff from the East Coast that we can see in New Vegas is the Wasteland Survival Guide and some Fire Ants. This implies that some people made it through, but the complete lack of anything else suggests that only those people made it through.

@Earnest Evans It's doable, especially with clear most of the southern mid-west of raiders. The brotherhood was up further north. Going through Texas and then up would be a perfectly safe route. Also tornadoes would only be a problem some of the year. If you had a car you make the trip in 3 or four weeks outside tornado season.
