This had to have been one of the worst days' ever for Raven. Her father was in one of his moods once more, turning to his drinking and violent ways once more. Generally, the girl would have never uttered the words "I hate you" across her lips, but that is exactly what had just happened. Her father had indeed came home from work, muttering about things that Raven had never really taken an interest to as he walked to the fridge, opened the door and opened a bottle of the intoxicating liquid once more. Then was his next action to sit in front of the TV, clicking through the channels until he came upon the news. All she simply did was walk in front of the TV as simply as possible when the man decided on impulse to throw the glass vase at her. Hardly having a moments notice to realize what was going on, the girl threw up her arms in order to block her face as shards of the broken vase cut her arms. "Move out of the way, will you Ray," shouted her father.
"T-that was mom's vase," Raven responded.
"And your point?"
"I hate you dad," she spat the words at him. "I really, truly do."
"Well good for you. Your birth was a mistake anyway."
Unsure what to say anymore, Raven ran back to the way that she had came, pushing the back door open with a loud bang. Her target was her only refuge, the stone angel that had been in her back yard for as long as she could remember with it's mysterious ways. The storm brewing over head as the rain drops made her hair wet and stick to her face, Raven would run towards the statue as she came to halt, falling on her knees in front of it, folding her hands in her lap and looking up into the stone face that met her gaze. "Why can't you ever actually be there for me," she murmured in a undirected question towards the thing.
