Her we are! Any people reading this can submit a character, providing they're up to date with the plot and understand these things:
Somewhere in space, there exists a planet similar to Earth in only a few respects, the most notable being that it can support life. The terrain is fraught with monumental natural structures such as gigantic mountains that pierce the atmosphere, cliffs and trenches that fall so far down that the bottom is unseeable, and oceans that the planet's inhabitants have yet to cross due to their impossibly large span. The planet, itself, offers climates very similar to those on Earth - the further north, the colder.
Dana and his brother reside in the small country of Chern - half of the land's boarder is coastline, the weather is much like that of Italy, and it's primary export is fish and wool. In comparison to the rest of their species, the people of Chern are poor, famished, and in poverty - regardless, they are also considered the most humble.
Another similarity of this planet to Earth is the inhabitatnts' relationships to eachother. Some countries are at war, some are in alliance, and others are too poor and too dishevelled to even consider conflict.
What sets this world apart, however, is its creations. While there is no electricity, computers, or modern mechanics, the planet is host to a number of inventions that would be quite unfamiliar to one of us - ships that dominate the sky on huge white sails are the most notable, however the planet's notability is not only in its man-made trinkets. Huge mammals, more than twice the size of a Blue Whale, walk the same earth that acts as a hunting ground for the predators that stalk all living things. Elite animals of prey, such as packs of wolves that reach numbers of over forty, are feared by even the most powerful of people. It is not a hospitable planet for the ill-prepared.
One should consider this: the world I'm discussing is not less developed than our world, but merely developed in a different way. They do not have phones, computers, or hair dryers in the same way that we do not have sky-ships; they do not have rocket ships in the same way that we do not have certain potions that can make you run faster, jump higher, thing harder, or hide more sneakily. I'll allow the technology of the time be created throughout, rather than impose strict rules. Remember this, though: gunpowder has been discovered, but is only used by the richest of armies; the potions that I have mentioned are also limited - expensive, and only used by those who can afford them.
The most common weapons are made of steel or animal bones, sharpened to a blade. The most common houses are made of wood, sand, or stone (region-dependant), and clothes are fashioned from anything natural that won't damage skin.
This is purely dependant on what came before. If the response needed depamnds no more than a short sentence, so be it. If, however, the sittuation requires detail, explanation, or long narrative, feel free to post anything up to a few paragraphs.
Don't bite. The usual: anything racist, sexist, gory, discriminative, -phobic, or rude should remain IC only. If it moves to OOC and real people are being offended, action will need to be taken in order to keep the peace. Simple stuff.
Please keep the sex stuff down. If it has to be done, move it to PM's and give anyone that needs to know the simplest details you can. Characters can have relationships, but let's keep it PEGI 15. :)
Once characters are all up, we'll start. I'll be playing Dana, anyone can play his brother as its on a first come first serve basis. Any questions about character creation, ask me!
