I think the group of boys are meant to be other hopefuls as well - and now I really hope they fail initiation.

Trust me, they will. you-know-who has no use for "Self righteous, bigoted fools"

Well, we'll see what kind of condition their in after cinis deals with them.

Bt Dubs, you can have her come in right where I ended, or after they've tenderized him a bit when we do the collab.

Either way, they will likely not make it to the beginning of initiation. either that manipulative asshole will deal with them, or one of the senior students will scare the shit out of them and they'll leave willingly.
maybe someone from VLCN? they're third year, all human, and friends with team WGRN, who are entirely Faunus.
that or one of the more human looking members of WGRN.
I do like options.

Heh, my philosophy about characters is that they're like geodes, if you want to see what they're made of, Break 'em in half.

Which pretty much describes the C in VLCN, the brittle-bones guy. he got sick of getting hurt so he took a level in badass.
just so you know, he's the one Kanika's quote in the character thread for the other RP is referring to.

<Snipped quote by Crimson Raven>

1)My character Garen is fourth generation, trained his entire life whilst living in the wilderness outside the kingdom and actively fighting Grimm from the time he could use a weapon, not to mention a direct descendant of a living legend. He's a fucking prodigy and couldn't pull that shit off.
2)If it's flow versus believability, take believability. any time one of my characters expends a large amount of aura, they show signs of it, regardless of the flow of the scene.
3)Please show limits clearly and consistently.
4)teams of 4 students, all of which have been shown or stated to be of well above average skill or ability (except Jaune, but he's some sort of tactical genius waiting to happen)
5)Aura is a metered ability, like Mana. it recharges fairly quickly, but Ruby, from empty, takes about a minute to fully recharge (as can be determined by playing the Grimm Eclipse pre-alpha.)
6)Then why the hell would he climb to the top of the highest damned building on campus just to make an entrance? blatant and excessive showoff.

When I was originally examining the character, I had concerns about the semblance, as it is extremely specific and, frankly, TOO useful.

Now, I've got a couple other characters to reexamine.

Okay, I understand your concerns, I really like the idea of an aura that is useful for more than just combat, so I made it very specific and useful. The original ability could not be blocked and could utilize all metals, so it has already been nerfed quite a bit. Ferrin originally climb the tower, not to make an entrance. (That was a spur-of-the-moment thing.) He first took off because he felt confined in the airship and wanted some freedom. Then he, recklessly, (like a typical teen and I speak from experience) decided to get a better view. I was also going to make that a spot that he goes to think and maybe have a scene where he meets Ozpin up there and get a talking to. And yes, he has a slight flair for the dramatic.

I'm gonna go ahead and request you remove/ater on of the aspects of it, either remove his ability to detect metal, or the push-pull thing. alternatively, make it so he can sense iron, but only in a broad sense, such as approximate distance and vague direction
In addition, make it so he can only use it to move himself if it weighs at least as much as he does, for balancing purposes. feel free to have him railgun those coin things, though.
Flair for the dramatic is great and all, but you're going way the hell overboard.
He's 17 and attending a school where he wil be face-to-face wit monsters hellbent on wiping out his entire species, I think that's plenty reckless.

Damnit, can't remember which other character needed revision...
Oh, right, two of the characters have almost identical symbols. either Tamn or Ferrin needs to change to something other than a wolves head. I'm thinking Ferrin, as Tamn is an actual wolf and thus has a specific reason for it.
Oh, as an afterthought, the prosthetic arm is not as big of a deal s you're making it out to be. things like that are commonplace in my AU, if not RWBY in general.
Hell, 3/4 members of team VLCN have some sort of advanced prosthetic device. L has a robotic leg, C used a combat-oriented exoskeleton during his first 2 years at Beacon, and N has a prosthetic voicebox.

I get the first part, I will make it so he can't really make an accurate assumption, its more of a guess. But I don't understand the second part. The original idea was: If what ever he pushes/pulls is heavier than he is, he is the one moved. If he is heavier then it, the object (anchor), moves. Such as, when he pushes the coin it hits the ground, his weight is transferred through the coin, to the ground and the ground is heavier, so he is pushed up. What do you mean '"In addition, make it so he can only use it to move himself if it weighs at least as much as he does, for balancing purposes."'? As for being reckless, I like reckless, reckless is good. It also makes him unique and can be considered another flaw. The emblem, well that might need some thought, I'll get back to you tomorrow, when I'm not as tired and have had time to think.

Please note, I am not being argumentative, I am trying to come to a peaceful agreement. There is no chance of me quitting if I don't get my way.

I misunderstood your explanation. probably because you've over-thought the whole thing pretty severely. oddly enough, you've missed a few important factors.
Concentrating the entire weight of a fairly robust person into a spot the size of a coin would embed the coin pretty deeply into the ground.
I'm assuming a coin the size of a silver dollar, 1.5 inches. 98kg is bout 216lbs, concentrated onto a point an inch and a half across, that's several times the amount of force needed to embed a steel spike in a concrete block.

whenever, dude. I'm here pretty much all day.
Funnily enough, I was actually more concerned I would have to remove you for refusing to bring your character to a more reasonable level than I was about you leaving for not getting your way.
PS: I'm PST-8, so it's evening here

@Against This My schedule right now is a bit hectic so I think a collab would be difficult. Plus it's probably a good idea to have them move around and possibly meet the other members of their team, or at least some of the members of CRBD.
