Though still curious what would be the result of taking cover from ranged attacks?
Bonus Defence, depending on the cover and how nice I was feeling.
For instance if you took cover behind something like a wooden table you'd probably get +1 Defence. Something a little more sturdy like some metal storage crates would be +2 or even +3. Cover behind something substantial, like a solid stone pillar would give +4 or +5.
It'd all depend on what you put in the narrative when you were taking cover, how likely it would be that such an item would actually exist in the location and what kind of weapons you were facing.
And before you ask, no you can't suddenly have a tank materialise in front of you so you can take cover behind it.
