Peace. It's a word that not many people have experienced in life. A word that many don't truly understand. But peace is the only thing that the people of Arysium know. Cut off from the rest of the world, the people of Arysium have lived in a very quiet and unaffected world full of prosperity, their technology evolving rapidly past all of the filth and pollution and into a new future for them all.

It wasn't until the last century or two that they really found out what strife was.

The first of what was to be called "Meta-Humans" was born around that time, now referred to as 0-P.R., or Post- Revelation. A man with a broken mind, he used his power over fire in an attempt to seat himself as the king of the lands. He was stopped in his tyrannical pursuit by another, a young boy who proved invulnerable to the blaze. A deep fear creeped into the populace...

Now, in the year 223PR, the population of Metahumans is at an all time low. An all-human corporation known as Helios has provided the people of Arysium with protection. Their robots patrol all over, keeping them safe. Helios provides them with food, medicine, water, and even shelter. But what could they need protection from?

The Revolution. Metahuman "terrorists" who would destroy us all if we let them... Or so the good people at Helios would say.

If the people knew that Helios was gathering up Metas and reporting a "drop in birth rate", maybe they wouldn't call it a revolution.

There are those who oppose the corporate rule of Helios, those who hide and strike out against the tyrant. The Freedom Fighters need help if they are ever going to gain the rights they deserve.

The question is: who will you choose to side with? Will it be Oppression? Or Freedom?

Okay, hopefully you've read the bit of history I put up there for you.

This is an idea I had that I really wanted to share with others. I'm hoping that we get a decent roster of people here. This is a reboot of the previous RP by the same name, as I had been unable to log on previously for some time. Any returning players can reuse their old CS if they wish, or create completely new characters (Subject to Approval).

My Co-GM is currently Makarov, and I may appoint more depending.

Locations contain but are not limited to:

Arcadia: the literal center of the world. Arcadia is a massive city, with a bustling population. Anything can be made or found here, and it is the home of Helios.

Emerald Coast: rolling hills, grassy plains, and white sand beaches command the landscape south where small towns and families tend to sit. The Freedom Fighters main base is hidden amongst the landscape.

Scorching Sands: A desert landscape to the west where people are few and far between. Many of Helios' testing is done here.

The Sea of Trees: A massive forest to the north and east that houses many climates. Slowly shrinking due to deforestation, but still imposing. Thins out towards the southern side and merges with Emerald Coast.

Skyreach: The northern mountain range that dominates the land. It's snow covered peaks and heights provide Helios with the perfect place to conduct their experiments unseen.

Mount Brimstone: a craggy, treacherous landscape that culminates into a volcanic ridge. Inactive for some time, be careful not to leap head first into its fiery depths.

I want our world to expand as it progresses, so please share your ideas with me as we go along. I'm part player, part narrator for this story, and anyone who wishes to assist is most welcome.

Now, for the rules:

1. Please refrain from God modding. I'll allow practically any powers and abilities, but let's keep it legitimate. Just play fair and keep it clean.

2. Ask me before charting out huge chunks of the world. We can't just throw fortresses or explosions everywhere.

3. Anything goes. You can do almost anything unless told otherwise.

I will not post much as Aetius, the CEO of Helios, to keep his works a mystery. He is the antagonistic force, after all. Consider him non-existent, as the Strike team and other members of Helios will be the true focus thus far.

If the Freedom Fighters do push hard enough, they may pull him out of hiding, as well as several other things I have in store for them.

So, simply put. I will lead the narrative by controlling the forces at work, and I want the players to push the story forward through their own actions.
