@MihndarI suppose it also includes Velikaya's (muted, secret) reaction to the mention of the Zanshir bombings?
I'm not sure if she's either happy or mad for the elves using that fact to encourage war against Tin.
On one hand she gets to have the two imperialist giants at each other's throats.
On the other hand elves make use of what you personally prepared. It's kind of like somebody stealing your work.

Stealing her work? She'll be filled with glee. She ordered the bombings precisely to start a war; this is what she wanted.

Her collaborators also made a critical success in their roll, killing a rather high ranking and legendary noble.
That's even "luckier" than the assassin who missed his chance but then accidentally still managed to kill Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

Anyways, I mean this in a way that Yllendthyr actually uses this for purely their own purposes. They didn't fell for the ploy but mention it because that became convenient.
Granted, in the end the difference doesn't matter in the results. But Velikaya may notice this and she wouldn't be so happy to know.

Too late now, Tin man.

Actually, I'm currently writing TWO collabs for Divinus, and a hero post. Plus the post for this one. I don't think I've ever attempted writing 4 posts at once, but, lookie there, I am now.

You'll have to forgive me if the next post is a bit short. I'm busy, and I can't elf-style like some people.

Well, I'm still busy so my interlude post should wait till late afternoon.
But the stagnant air in the OOC is a bit worrying so let's change that!

@Cyclone
Military Quiz Time!
How many Tinite cavalry are needed to take a single VP-39 machinegun nest?

Let's make it a double quiz.
How many Tinite cavalrymen can take down an Arqwyen IIC tank? (the one with the chaingun firing 33mm exploding shells)

I'm not singling you Cyclone. It was just the fact Tin was literally the first nation which came to mind.
Of course anybody can feel free to ask quizzes from me in return.

Machine gun nest? Guessing..... a metric shit ton, not to be confused with the standard form of measurement
As for the tank.... zero. Explosive shells won't do shit. Now if they were AP, then we might have a different story.

Also waiting for a certain @Mihndar to post...

Well, I won't comment on the machinegun. I leave that to Cyclone and others.
Though yeah, a metric ton of cavalry actually isn't such a large number. You could get maybe two horsemen with that.

Also I think you confused the scenario. The tank is armed with a 33mm autocannon and shoots explosive shells. Now, the 33mm shells are barely more powerful than a handgrenade but when an armored machine fires these rapidly then I guess things could change. Anyways, the odds aren't so grim. You just need to employ sufficient number of cavalry.
Even if incapable of breaching the armor, standard human wave tactics should not be underestimated.

Alright, Military Quiz to you.

Strike Witch vs Griffin Rider (armed with rifles or machineguns and an anti-tank missile)
While this is a "versus" kind of discussion don't worry, I won't argue with you. At best I share my opinion and then we move on.
This is just a short game to keep the OOC going.

Oh no, I hear ya. Sort of like that... uhh... I think it was called "deadliest warrior" or something. It was really stupid, but fun. Anyway, I would vote that the Witches would win. They would more likely have better climb rates than the griffins and carry heavier armaments than your typical rider. Thus a trained Witch could out preform a skilled Griffin Rider, but it really all comes down to who's flying what. If the Griffin Rider is smart, he/she could try to use their potentially more manuvarible griffons to try to get a foolish Witch to dogfight. But the one thing any Witch worth her salt will remember a key thing from their training. To quote the most successful fighter pilot of history, Eric Hartmann, "Dogfighting? It's a waste of time." Thus, it would be hard to lure a Witch into a dogfight.

Can you tell I'm bored?

@SkepicGuess why did I start this questionnaire to begin with?

And yeah, Strike Witches likely have better torque to weight ratio. As unbelievable as it seem they also carry heavier weapons.
The one advantage Griffon Riders have though is that the soldiers can turn around and aim better than a girl on a flying boot-engine.
Think of horse archers except now they are armed with SMGs and rifles.
Though range could be an issue. Also griffons are considerably larger targets.

Oh well, further quiz time!

@Hael, can you talk to us about your military?
I know, you haven't even wrote that part yet. That's why it's such a mystery!
Today is the military roll. We can quiz for other topics later.
