I like your char, perhaps try take on a differnt role, Henwen had first-dibs on pilot/nav. Perhaps something like the First Mate/second in command owuld suit GUs, since hes charismatic and chatty, its your choice, other than that it looks fine to me. You can make up a role if you have something better in mind.

I'll respect the dibs no worries and yeah First Mate second in command might be fun charismatic guy to keep everyone sorta in line and it goes with the bio too he's been in the business so i'll go with that. :)

You can leave that in if you like, perhaps we could fudge around the issue with something about "experimental fertility treatments" or "GMO foods" increasing the rate of twins on some colonies and Viva and Loire could happen to both hail from affected areas. You can edit if you like but I don't see it as a massive issue. I've grown up in roughly 3 small rural areas and I know of roughly 5 sets of twins and there are 2 sets of twins in my own family (me and my sister who passed away, and then my cousin had twin boys last year).

As for the rest of your CS its fine to me, I did say no stylised pictures in teh appearance section but your description is perfect so thats all above board for me!! I like the potential of a run0in with Viva's brother, perhaps at some point later in the RP he could run into trouble and they end up smuggling him on board to evade the law, or maybe if we go down the route of a crew of pirates/criminals they could do a deal with him! I like Viva's personality and overall its all cool with me as long as you are happy!

If anyone has any pairings or plot arcs in mind just from a look at the characters so far, feel free to comment, its never too soon to start plotting haha

Yeah, I reckon Loire will keep all his past to himself, so no one will know about his role in the biotic implant experiments (he was struck from the study so his name isn't featured anywhere in the research -not tht the failures would be easily found either) and as for his sister, I doubt anyone would do a full background research on him just for fun, and he's not going to bring either of those topics up in casual discussion, but eventually him and Vee could open up and talk about it. If Viva's brother does turn up, I could totally picture a scene where they find him bleeding from a gunshot wound during a deal-gone-bad, take him on board and Loire patches him up while Viva reacts to seeing him (and the trouble that follows him!) after so long.

If you want I kept Gus' mother' story pretty blank and free to play with for any plots turn up as a rival crew or smuggler all good to use as an NPC of opportunity same with his sister. I'm up for any plot really right now can't think of anything to start of with right now though.

Still pretty early days Fuzz, we need a few more chars and I'm sure things will work out ^__^ I think for the first post we could do something simple like the start of Firefly, they are docked on a planet refuelling, so the crew can stretch their legs for a bit, perhaps the Captain or someone on the crew lands a delivery job and then a couple of posts in they all load up into the SIRIUS and then travel for a bit, socialise on the ship and we'll take it from there!!!

So far I love the characters we have, a nice mix of introverted (Loire) and outgoing (GUS!!!) characters

I don't want to be rude @HHShetlandbut if you don't think you're going to stick it out and post in the RP, perhaps you shouldn't take up a slot in this RP, someone else may want a place.

no problem, perhaps you can come back at a later point if you are still interested and are able to stick around and contribute consistently some time in the future. I'm sure once the rp has levelled off (sometimes there an explosion of posting at the start and it cools down as it progresses) there will be space for you to jump in if you are interested.

Well now that I get home from my double shift at work I see all the positions have been nabbed, all but one. I shall like to reserve the Captain, I have an decent idea for him as well. I won't be able to get much up tonight But I will have the Skeleton with the general gist of what I'm aiming for up tomorrow.

I'm having some troubles coming up with my CS, what are some open positions? Would a jack of all trades cook/mechanic work here?

@Magnato There are 3 general spaces, so you can make up a role, a jack of all trades or cook would be acceptable of course (please give a detailed description of the roles/responsibilities etc that your char will be involved in just so there is no confusion)

Up to you, but honestly, theres no need to write something specifically for a sample post, I just like to see that people can post a sizable piece of well written text. Its to ensure someone who is say, free level, or unable to use spellcheck (for whatever reasons) doesn't wind up in an rp they were unsuitable for (High-cas to advanced), the specific quirks of your writing style aren't being graded or assessed, its just to see that players can make the general post-quota of an advanced level rp! I hope this clears it up.

Basically, you can write something specific if you like but its really not essential, the sample post is not for your character specifically, so you can use any character or previous rps!

Should I Pm a CS?

Some potential positions to consider if folks are still having trouble thinking some up:

Mercinary- individual who totes the guns and protects ship and crew
Merchant/Smuggler- individual who knows a guy who knows a guy who needs this thing or that and finds the jobs
Diplomat/Translater- individual who knows about Where we are and Who or What we are talking too and How
(cause i'm assuming we will hopefully be encountering aliens at some point in time? Need to not insult clients)
Hacker- individual who's more computer savvy than mechanical, good at communications and working around 'firewalls'
LongTermPassenger- this could be intersting in the variety of people one could play
* Scientist/Student- travling to study the various places and people we encounter
* Servayer- simmilar to above only focusing more on what potential profit could be made
(Think Miners, or Economics, Trade Goods etc. Or even goverment servayer looking at populations)
**Stowaway- also in the LongTermPassenger type of role, but with more potential for plot-ly things

Keep in mind all these can be mixed and matched to make a more interesting character to play, and make sure everythigns A-Okayed by our lovely Potato Lady!
