The SIRIUS is a privately owned lightweight space cruiser class vessel. With a vibrant crew, She travels wherever the captain wills. Since she is not a military grade ship, nor a commercial vessel, the crew of the SIRIUS are generally informal, tightly knit and operate much like a family in a household.

This rp will follow the stories of the crew and their adventures aboard the SIRIUS.

A sample post is just an excerpt from one of your previous rp's or a piece you've written, just basically a sample of what you write like. I'll get one of my CS's with a sample post so you can use it as an example

I'm all for this, do you have a like, list of positions you'd like filled on the ship? That way we dont double up or overly arm this ship with mercs.

I'm resisting the temptaition to make the captian, I've done it before and I'm willing to admit im probably not the best choice. BUT I WILL if no one else snatches the position up.

Once the RP gets established and settled (and we figure out who are the consistent posters (flakes will drop out over time) I'm willing to allow people to post a second or even third character but in the mean time, I'm going to wait for about 7 characters and then cap it!!

Depending on the captains choices, we shall see. At present, the Sirius is a privately owned light-weight cruiser, so its not a military grade heavy duty vessel, but it is possible it can be used by traders, explorers, researchers or criminals alike!!! Throughout the plot of the RP this is totally subject to change! The crew could be a bunch of law-abiding traders, and then decided to turn to intergalactic crime!

Do you have a particular preference or idea? I'd love to hear it.

Not really, but it's a little tricky to make a character for a ship when we have no idea what the ship's purpose is. Different kind of people are going to sign up for a PMC than will join up for a crew of smugglers or pirates than will sign up for a deep-space survey ship.

Well I don't want to stifle whatever the person who wants to play captain has in mind, if you have a preference, do let me know, so far no one has said specifically what kind of mission this crwe should be on, if you have a suggestion, do tell.

I've decided to make a pilot/navigator type. But once we get more characters lined up, and it turns out we don't have a captain then I'll probably make one to throw in the pot for consideration then. I don't want to take the position if someone else wants to give it a go.

I'll reserve pilot for you, look forward to seeing your char! Depending on how many applications this gets etc, you're free to take captain as a second character (we'll give it a few days first though!)

I had one of those as well. Except they were more ground vehicle and robotics oriented, as opposed to starship mechanics.

Hmm, alright. If you'd like, I can tailor mine to starships and software, and our characters would act sort of like complements to each other. Besides, when it comes to Sci-Fi, you can never have enough engineers.

Well, it's not entirely necessary. Knowing me, it's possible I might not even post anything. But I'll create the CS anyway because it's a character that originated in a different RP so I'd probably re-use them anyways.

I don't want to be rude @HHShetlandbut if you don't think you're going to stick it out and post in the RP, perhaps you shouldn't take up a slot in this RP, someone else may want a place.

Editing the CS page, Pilot and Engineer are reserved for now, I'll hold these spots till Wednesday if thats okay with everyone (you don't need to have a full CS finished by then, but just a bare bones/start of a cs will suffice) If you have exceptional circumstnces and cant fill in a bit of the CS in that time, just PM me, I'll work something out ;)
