I've got this bad feeling that the IC will eventually just turn into a world war between people who think that the war makes sense and people who think it's going to kill the roleplay. Have we forgotten about the whole "Roleplaying" thing? I mean, the point here is to PLAY a ROLE, right?

I've got this bad feeling that the IC will eventually just turn into a world war between people who think that the war makes sense and people who think it's going to kill the roleplay. Have we forgotten about the whole "Roleplaying" thing? I mean, the point here is to PLAY a ROLE, right?


You are an experienced Rp GM it seems, have you ever had a problem like this happen in one of your sci-fi rps, and how in the name of God did you fix it.

Most of my roleplays have been character-driven, which tends to just erase the problem of "LOL I NUKE U U DED LOL". That said, it did happen once. It tends to be a death sentence if it's not the sole purpose of an RP. Of course, I'm a terrible GM, so you might be able to avoid that effortlessly.

Man, I don't want to do the race and religion demographics. Since I have to google the countries' demographics and add them up. Man, that's going to be fun.

And I have to explain how France didn't enter the war and how they got their colonies - most of them - back.

The Nexerus: Since you're playing as United Kingdom, I was thinking of making an alliance between our nations. If you want to do that kind of stuff.

EDIT: Also, I am planning to avoiding wars since they prove pointless and they cost tons of money.

Seems like we're already allies, in that case. Instead of a formal military alliance, let's go ahead and say we have a long-running free trade agreement. Perhaps including the rest of non-GEC Western Europe as well.

@Odysseus You mention in your NS that the Cayman Islands are wholly owned (in the private sense) by Tsao. Are they still under the sovereign jurisdiction of the United Kingdom, though? British sovereignty is hardly a deterrent to the islands' activities in the modern day, and being that Bright and her country have grown largely libertarian over time since then, it would hardly be an issue from a legal perspective.
