The sun rises on Tengoku City.

The arena, for that was the only word that aptly described such a structure, had been built remarkably quickly. Two weeks, in two weeks time the arena had gone from foundations to an impressive structure, circular and with seating to accommodate thousands. Even in a city like Tengoku, such a strange occurrence was deeply suspicious. On top of that, no workers had been seen around the arena at any point. Not a single one. Needless to say, countless investigations had been launched into the arena, professional and amateur. And yet nothing had turned up. Nothing out of the ordinary had remotely been discovered about the tournament. There were no strange disappearances of people getting 'too close', no weird events happening in the area(at least no weirder then Tengoku usually was), no nothing. It was, in all respects, a completely legal and totally harmless structure. Well, aside from the fact that it would soon hold ferocious battles for the right to make a wish.

The allure of the wish had drawn many competitors, and the allure of their combat had drawn many spectators. No-one was entirely sure what to expect, but regardless was the fact that they had all came anyway. The competitors were meant to arrive first and be arranged into dueling pairs, but there was already an array of spectators filtering into the arena. It seemed not even the strange girl who managed every stand simultaneously via some strange method was able to hold them back.

Bag in one hand, sheathed katana in the other, Haruko stared as she watched the throngs of people enter the stadium to find seats, or to be paired up for their fights. She took a deep breath. Was this really any place for a normal girl like her? A battle for something as lofty as a wish, among so many people, with so many more watching the fights... Was it somewhere for her? For a few moments, this thought lingered in her mind.

But only for a few. Glancing to the side, Haruko saw her blade in its sheath, and gave a firm nod as her confidence swelled. Yes. This was where she should be. She would win, and stop anyone with any kind of dark intent from gaining a powerful thing like a wish. It didn't matter who she had to fight. She'd be the person she knew she could be, the person who would stop anyone with dark designs for something as lofty as a wish from gaining it. If there was someone truly in need, she'd make the wish for them.

After all, wasn't that sort of thing just what being a hero was all about?

Daniel yawned. He hadn't gotten much sleep last night, having been too excited to fall asleep. Still, he did his best to stay awake. After all, it was the day of the tournament. It was his time to shine, to beat up every other participant in this place, and maybe even get a wish on top of that.

Cracking his knuckles, he allowed himself a grin. A better day couldn't have come. His only thought was about who he was gonna fight first. As he looked around, he saw many people either gathering into the stands to find seats, or getting paired up with one another for the upcoming fights. Alexander decided to wait. After all, the time would come eventually.

Sound of blade being sharpened against whetstone came as Ursgan sharpened his battleaxe ready for tournament. Furlining of his caot fluttering against the wind. As Light reflected off from his axe when sun came high enough, he stopped the sharpening and examined the edge giving a wolfish grin of satisfaction.

A sharply-dressed female (though there were certainly people that would dispute that part) was yawning as much as the pyromancer, and looking around for somewhere that she could get tea whilst waiting for a match. Despite being fully capable of walking around in the sunlight, as the vampire was doing, she still preferred to be up at the night.

This arena had better have some sort of refreshments...
