Consider me interested. I'll be drawing up a CS soon.

Edit: I do have one question about the LKs. Would it be possible to have an aura of Luminosity? As such, the character naturally deters magic to some extent. Like you were stating earlier, I don't want to put it into numbers, but for instance:

[Magespell] 10 mana vs [Luminosity] 10 mana = 0

So a person with a 'Aura of Luminosity'.

[Magespell] 10 mana vs [Luminosity] 9 mana + 1 Aura = 0

Edit2: Would it also be possible for Luminosity to take on specific forms? Not like a beast or a structure, but a form of energy (i.e: Flame, electricity)

@SPAssemble I'm thinking of having my character in the future finding a Knight close to death that she can't bring herself to kill even with all her anger, but instead heals. We could make your character that knight and he just starts out more on the knights side, still having doubts and a bit unorthodox but more loyal, then has that encounter and starts being the go-between.

Luminosity-based auras are brilliant white, while magic based ones are light blue.

Unlike magic, Luminosity cannot change its nature. No matter what shape you give it, it will still be a glowing light which destroys all magic.

He edited the first post pretty recently, so there may have been added detail you hadn't the chance to look over.

Hope this answers the question x)

Some what. As for the first example, it's an aura based off of Luminosity, but it doesn't mention if it actually effects the area around them.

As for the second -if I'm reading it right- it looks like I can shape the Luminosity to whatever I desire, I just can't change it's nature (meaning I can't use it to heal and so forth)

Ohh, like a barrier? Yeah, he mentions that being possible in the Luminosity section too. I imagine it'd be a constant mana sap though.

As for the fire-shape, yep, it looks like you got dis x)

Kind of, but more natural. For instance, have you known a person that walks into the room and immediately changes the atmosphere? Either in a good or bad way, but the feel of the room is ultimately changed. As such, would a person with a strong enough aura actually repel magic naturally just by their force of spirit or force of their attunement to luminosity.

Hmm, well...

8.3)Aura effects: A powerful aura projects such presence that it may even overpower those nearby. Effects include mild paralysis, difficulties to breathe. Auras can be shaped into specific passive effects, from terrifying enemies to empowering allies. Such techniques, although known, are lost to time.
Laue's first post

Is that along the lines with what you were thinking? It seems like you'd have to be trained by an aura person to accomplish that.

Yeah, something to that effect, though it would not effect a physical person, only the magic within an area.

Maybe that'd be more of a luminosity spell? Like a glow emanating out your character rather than a beam of light?

Make sure to leave room to progress it's capability, of course. We're all like lvl 1s here, haha.

@MadKatzAuras a are a representation of one's power of the soul. Starting characters don't even have enough power to passively generate a detectable aura, let alone manipulate it. Also, the extent of manipulation is pretty much hiding it, changing it's psychological effect and focusing it to act as a barrier. Mostly, anyway. In RPG terms, the power of your aura is your "level". And you all start at "level" 1. You could change your skills into magic, and it could work, I guess.

@SPAssembleThat will provide problems, as mage group at start will be employed by Los Vengadores, the very same group that knights will investigate and fight.

@LeolycanLuminosity can take ANY shape, it just cannot change it's #1 property which is destroying magic. Initially, it will also always look like a brilliant white light. It can be shaped into a lightning bolt, into a pattern of flame, but it will remain what it is. A full body shroud is more than fine, but maintaining a full power, full body shroud like that will be quite draining for a new character.

Alright I'm off to work in an hour. I'll review Leo's character after I get back.

Hey Laue, SPAssemble and I were thinking of doing an intro plot wherein our characters get to form a comrade relationship. I sorta gave you a brief overview in the PM. After the intro plot, we get a piece of info and head back into the city, where we could get involved in the investigation. I could even play as a spy for the Lumies, which would be fun.

That way we'd still be pretty connected to the plot, right?

@Laue I kinda wish you told us sooner. However, My lore starts with me and my (now dead) battle brothers investigating the ChaHorrnets. I was going to reveal that we stumbled upon that mob's connections to mage groups. Would it be possible for me to try to re-connect with my brothers, expose the Los Vengadores and try to not have Nala enslaved (RIGHTEOUSwench's character) and do GREAT JUSTICE?

@Cyrania I wouldn't mind a second healer empower me as I punch a dude to death with my supernova hands. I ACCEPT YOUR REQUEST... so long as you wear a collar too.

The collar, Wendy will never willing put on her neck again nor will she willing return to slavery within the city. The only time she'll wear the collar willing is on her head, as a focus for her power to defeat the Luminous Knights with. Bwa Ha Ha. The key term though is willingly, though it would be extremely ungrateful, inhuman, and dishonorable to capture someone who just saved your life. (She would keep the bow towards you just in case.)

@Cyrania If you didn't look into it, Psykers in Warhammer 40K are hunted unless they fight for the Emperor, at which time they are soulbound to him, increasing their willpower, their abilities, and making them loyal. I'm still a Knight. I know the power of mages and how dangerous they are. I wouldn't force you to do it but I certainly wouldn't trust you until you put the collar back on. Fredric had five of his battle brothers cut down by a bunch of mages, he still wears their sigils around his neck like dog tags to remind him of that. My companion Nala even still wears her collar.

@SPAssemble They would be forced together companions if at all. Either one would be the prisoner of the other or they would have an uneasy truce going on between them.

@Cyrania The collar is a symbol of the absolute trust in eachother. Being an elven mage already puts you and an extreme advantage over me. To be willing to put your life in my hands as I would yours while fighting is a sign of mutual respect and camaraderie. Then again most of you elves are the same.
