Nah, I can't start a meme war...yet. You aren't even in the RP right now, so I can't just drag you into a long, drawn out conflict that inevitably ends in your defeat! :P

Not a hodgepodge, unfortunately (or should I say fortunately?). They're kind of the guides for the wee puppies. In their Essence they're guides, and slightly their Guardians. Not nearly as snobby as some guardians can be of course.

I'm glad to see he has a CO-GM though. Chrono Asylum is a tough RP. Just keeps coming back like a happy virus. =) It was also my first RP when I came to the guild, and Xodus plucked me out of the cardboard box and gave me a new home.

Nope. Alistair toyed around with pocket dimensions. His alch-spec's been changed now though, because pocket-dimensions are a pain to keep balanced and useful at the same time, and I felt like there were alternatives that were more his style. Now he has exceptional reflexes that're almost fast enough to allow him to react quickly to Vail's rapidly changing moods.

Although I do think I remember someone with a pain-themed alch-spec once. Must've gotten the power mixed up with someone else's alch-spec. ^^

@Rumplestiltskin Heyyy! Nice to meet another Chrono Asylum old timer. =P I'm relatively new the the rp in comparision... well, I'm newer than Rtron and Grif, so that says loads. I'd be more than happy to put you into the wait list, if Xodus doesn't have other plans.

@Rtron Well, she's usually a frightened little girl with visions. But I can't do precog here. I can do other things, though, and she grows into a fierce young lady, so I think she'd work. Bits is the opposite. She starts as a typical child, and turns into a very withdrawn adult. *prods her*

Also, if one person can specialize in pocket dimensions, that means any Asylum /might/ be able to use that ability, unless it's a level 2 or level 1 deal. Sparks approves of blowing people's minds, though!

Read through most of the OOC, looking for what I call Xo Insights. Basically extra information that clarifies things. Very, very interesting. ^^

@xodus where art thou? I've made a barebones CS to give the general gist of what I'm going for. Would like to show you and Ryver it before I progress too far and wind up having to change things due to things I didn't know >.<

But here's a teaser for the rest of you:

A black gal known as Smokini (a reference to Houdini), and yes, her alch-spec is smoke. She's a Hybrid. And her "unofficial" partner is a stoic Korean man named Malthier Deatreubenni. A Sniffer and very good at disguises. His alch-spec is Thread alchemy (you know, like strings) and while he ain't no Silencer, it has uses both in combat and outside.

One nugget from their bio is that they were both put through the linking process but it started to fail for some reason, off and on. And then finally it just stayed off. I know Unlinkeds are sent on solo missions, but the idea is that AMRO regards them as an experimental study, and so they keep sending them/will send them on missions that might kill them (being a "liability" and all) or it might jump-start their linkage so they can finally be actual Asylum and provide information for future cases that encounter this problem.

Either way, it's a win-win for the Director. ;)

But yes, I'm just toying with the idea. I don't know if this link-breaking phenomena goes against canon or undisclosed plot material. I'm certainly not married to it. I am prepared to play the dirge. I just think it would pit them mercilessly in middle of the huge discriminatory war I sense brewing between Asylums and Unlinkeds, and would shine an interesting light on everything to make people question what they believe about that hot topic.
