Grif said it well. :D Depends on context - here it is pretty equalized.

I think it ends up being of lesser concern when A.M.R.O. is throwing you at rogue wizards every five minutes.

Is it possible for Haster and Velva to be invigilators like Alistair and Veil? I would wait for an answer but I'm the last one to post in the IC section so I'm just gonna post it and then edit later if its not possible.

@Seeker I am sorry but to qualify to be an invigilator, your character must be:

1) At least 17-18 (this is 8 years ago, current age minus 8)

2) You are a returning member.

At least, that was what I understood from Xodus's early message. I'll let him (pssst @xodus) make the final call. :)

Edit: Here is the link of members allowed to be invigilators... roleplayerguild.com/topics/8..

Come on, stop being so generous.

It's Rogue wizards every 2 minutes. Five minutes would give them time to breathe. :p Not to mention, more than half the people you work with (that you're not bonded to) are borderline insane. Or, insane and the only thing separating them from rogue Alchemists is the fact that they work for AMRO.

*Looks at Reri and Angel.*

@Rumplestiltskin Wait, ISRAELI?! I like this. *Jewish and proud!* HAha.

@Xodus okay so I had a thought. Is vocum casting focused on the words, or the sound? Like, if someone wrote a sentence down, or used sign language to say it, would it be vocum still? I could see sign language falling under motem, because it's movement, but I think if you're /saying/ something by your signs, it's vocum technically. And for writing things, it falls in the border between vocum and sigillum. Like, you could be very refined with written words, making for higher accuracy, and you could build up more power since the cast doesn't take effect as fast as pure sigillum. I'm toying with an idea for later on, and I think vocum/sigillum pairing could be interesting for an artist.

I was always under the impression that vocum would be specifically speach. As you mentioned, the written word seems like it'd be closer to sigillum.

Indeed. Though it does bring up a good point. Is Sigilium anything written, a specific type of written, or anything that isn't writing?

I imagine sigillum has some limits, although considering the specifics of vocum/motem are similarly vague I don't suppose it matters a great deal. I don't think it's ever been mentioned what kinds of movements were necessary to produce specific alchemy with motem, for example. Mind you, this did give me an idea for a character; an alchemist who manipulates ink/colour, and uses motem alchemy to create larger, more powerful symbols out of ink/colour to work for sigillum alchemy. :D

Interesting....very interesting...he/she can only be a heavily tattooed alchemist whose powers rely on that.

...Now I *have* to make them heavily tattooed. The tatoos can be half-finished alchemical symbols which can be finished with a small application of alchemy, allowing them to store "spells".

Deal.

I just have to think of a suitably awesome power to compliment it. ;D

Thank you for the tips, Grif. And just to clarify to all of you: nationality, cultural heritage, ethnicity, religion, etc. are not things I'm big on. Like was said, they are a part of a character, not the first part. I felt it was somewhat assumed that the opposite was the case with me. It's really not. I just prefer to know what a person has experienced and believed before figuring out what they will believe next. Because what you believe first will determine wehat you will believe next. ;)

And that's especially true in AMRO. We may be dogs, but we're not identity-less soldiers. The Chrono Asylums themselves are proof of that. Our identity before joining (however briefly it may have been developed) has an effect on how we change in AMRO. I would even argue that our identity before joining is crucial to being COVERT agents; put on the mask that is comfortable and rarely will you slip.

That's my two-cents anyway. ^^

Alchemic styles weren't around back when I was here, so I don't understand them 100&. I speculate that their hardcoded limits can't be overridden/bypassed with just clever interpretation of the wording. Trust me on that, can't tell you how many times I've driven Xodus to reword things so certain thresholds couldn't be reached/breached until later when a plot point made it possible.

Not that I was intentionally trying to frustrate him >.<

Hmm... storing 'spells' huh? Nothing wrong with that, I reckon. Not a real difference between storing bullets in the magazine and waiting to 'trigger' them lol ;)

Careful you don't develop a trigger-happy mood to spell-slinging... the insanity is real. ^^

Xodus, why don't you love meeeee! I need a response to that PM I sent awhile back before I can get my post up. Hmm, I might just get up the first part of the post for now so that I can at least get my intro post up.

Card manipulation maybe? Card combat, an unlimited supply of cards...a character with powers along the lines of Gambit. @Grif of Hearts

Xodus loves no one. He is a cruel, cruel GM who will stop at nothing to prevent even the holiest of plans and shippings.

Alright the first thing all meemes are to be placed in spoilers so as to keep it all organized. I don't mind a good old fashion meeme war, heck I'll be schooling you lot soon enough but let's keep it clean XD

Nice to see you on Mikael. Oh how Geko has missed flirting with illana. I like the idea for your alch specs. Though an up coming lost number will have fabric manipulation, you can have thread manipulation though, that's not a problem. The problem is with the fluctuating links. This delinking phenomenona only occurs when the link is failing, meaning insanity. So it's not a concept I would promote. Links either work or don't. AMRO won't experiment with a anomaly, you are being connected to the code after all, one does not fuck with the code.

Next I have made some changes, marriage within A.M.R.O is allowed, so are having kids. Though you doom your kids into becoming asylums and AMRO ensures itself "stock".

Bak you are more than welcome to create a villain and I can even incorporate your villain in the story allowing you complete creative control. You can shoot me a pm and we can work it out. Same goes for anyone else.

But yes I am loving the enthusiasm on the OOC, and lovely posts everyone. I shall get started on my own.

Kirra sorry x.x I was swamped with work. I have replied to your pm and I have replied to your pm as well shy.
