Well, my character was refused for being too old...

@RPforthatPRThere were multiple problems with your character that the GM mentioned. I'm sure if you create a new character or fix the problems mentioned your character will be accepted. :)
At least that's how I've interpreted the situation.

The problems he mentioned were completely untrue though.

@RPforthatPR you didn't provide why they would join the group, what need they have in the group, etc. They're not just going to hang around for no reason. I don't know if you got the CS before it was updated, if so then I'm sorry for the inconvenience but that is a required field to fill out.

You also mentioned he joined the army. There are no countries anymore, an army wouldn't exist. A battle with small sides? Sure, but no full-blown armies, no one's organised enough anymore. The world went out with a whimper in this reality, there was no big blow, everything just sort of decayed over time.

And my only issue with the age is the question of why he would join a group led by two teenagers. If you provide a reason I'm sure it would be fine.

Oh and one more thing I should mention. Going dark eyes doesn't mean you lose yourself altogether, you're not a new person, you're just... a shell. I don't think there's any huge issues with yours but just for a pointer for everyone, that's what it is. It brings out negative qualities you already had and makes them worse, you forget what you wanted and let the world get to you. Think of it like giving in to the dark parts of your mind. Be it depression or something worse, but it isn't a new trait that pops up, it's giving in to something that's always been there in the back of your mind.

So yeah, no issues on the age so long as you provide a logical reason for a 48 year old man to hang around a bunch of young adults and teens.

I didn't say there was a huge war, I said he was a soldier, you're inferring things (I assume someone wants to get rid of demons). An army doesn't require a country. He wants to find the cure, as I said, which is reason enough.

I'll give you an impossible reality if you read my CS properly.

RP it's not my place to tell you what to do but please respect the GM. You're here on their terms and Solekii has asked you politely to revise the cs, even given you ideas and pointers how to fix them. Like it or leave it, it isn't your place to argue that everything is perfect if the person who knows what the story is about tells you it isnt.

But what they've said is false.

@RPforthatPR I just can't see anything being... big enough for an army of any kind. I guess there isn't a huge issue assuming he's from far away. Most demons don't stay together, they spread apart, if he were fighting them it would be more like a team of people going out to hunt demons. But it doesn't matter much, an army of some kind has probably popped up somewhere at some point. My mind just went to war when you mentioned it, I'm sorry for inferring anything, but maybe you could describe what he was doing, or if you don't want to reveal it, message me (I just want to make sure it fits with my plan).

And okay, finding the cure is his motivation, I did put a section for that on the CS, I didn't read it on your bio, but I just want to know why he's so willing to trust, from his perspective, a bunch of kids. It's nothing against your character, I'm just trying to imagine how he'd connect with the group.

Again, it's nothing against the character himself, or your bio, I'm just asking these things to make sure no one gets left behind in the RP. I've had something similar happen before so I'm kind of cautious now.

I'm sorry if I jumped to conclusions but I was just working off of what I had.

Okay I re-read your CS. It doesn't say why he wanted to join the group and I think the dogtags are what made me think war, sorry about that. Your CS didn't really say much about what you seem to think I should know. It doesn't really explain much at all, I'm sorry if I'm just not seeing something. I just don't really have a grasp on this character and I'd like to accept you if you gave me a little more.

In short all I want is a little more information, that's all.

This is why I hate CS's in the first place, do you get a biography manual each time you meet someone in real life?

It clearly says he's in it to find a cure.

Do we really need another character besides the ones we already have? Just wondering. I'd be perfectly willing to create another character if one is needed for the group dynamic. In fact, I kind of have one in mind.

Is that a backwards way of telling me to leave?

@RPforthatPR All I want is some more information and I'll accept your character. I'm sorry if it feels like I'm making you do too much, all I want is to have an understanding of the character so I can gage how he can interact with others. This isn't real life, it's a story.

@ADreamofStormySkies We're probably fine, I just wanted one more in case someone decided to drop out at some point (and also because I wanted a better number). I have one more class tomorrow then I can make the first post.

@RPforthatPR yes but if you're going to introduce something like an army you should have some idea of what you're going for when I ask you.

Basics are fine but if I ask you should have something, I just wasn't clear on your character and wanted more clarity.

@RPforthatPR I'm sorry. All I wanted was a little more writing. I did notice you added 'to find the cure' so that's nice. It's too bad you decided to skip out on this though. It could have worked just fine. To be honest I was gageing yours against the other bios, which were long and explained quite a bit. I guess that was a little unfair and I'm sorry for that. If you ever change your mind, we're still here.
