ABILITIES/SKILLS/EQUIPMENT:
The Mask of Insight: A steel mask with several layers that moves the lower jaw as his mouth does. It provides the wearer with insight on objects of interest (People, places, things, etc.). Such insight draws from a vast pool of knowledge both scientific and supernatural. It can be used to decipher many techniques and mechanical processes such as martial arts or gymnastics. Technically it does not offer any direct assistance with mimicry, but knowing is half the battle. The mask contains a sort of real intelligence of some nature. He is personally unsure if it is scientific or mystical in nature.

Engineering Skills: Thanks to the mask of Insight, he understands how to manufacture many tools, even if he physically is unable. Through practice, he has learned to gently dissassemble and reassemble sensitive and specialized equipment, even making improvements along the way.

Stealth Skills: The mask grants him understanding of how to bypass the notice of others, both because of the individuals behavior and environmental factors such as areas that naturally make more noise, or the patterns of shadows.

Agility: He, without the mask, is a practiced traceur who can scale the average building competantly. His reflexes are fast and he is very conscious of his surroundings. He can perform above average in gymnastics, but not enough to win G4's Ninja Warrior.

Fear Gas: After obtaining several samples of Jonathan Crane's various Scarecrow formulas, he deciphered the recipe and manufacturing process before coming up with his own variant and dispersal system. At present, he uses a gun that fires pellets containing pressurized fear gas that causes the target to experience frightening hallucinations.

Web-Line: Investigating Black Spider's means of travel taught him to synthesize webbing of his own. He can fire sprays of fast drying elastic cable that anchor onto their target and have incredible cohesive properties and strength. He sometimes uses this as a means of travel instead of a grappling hook, but makes frequent use of it in combat situations.

Claws: On his own, he created his own spring loaded razor sharp retractible claws that lurch out of his sleeves at a moments notice. They are one foot long and extend off of a pair of gauntlets mounted on his wrists.

LIMITATIONS AND WEAKNESSES:
The mask cannot determine the inner thoughts, feelings, or motivations of a person. It is, for all intents and purposes, a face-fitting encyclopedia. It can provide mechanical and chemical information bountifully, but magical, personal, and historical information are limited by what the wearers of the mask have seen. Sometimes it is inaccurate for various reasons.

While he has an edge over human opponents, he still has no degree of invulnerability and very little besides his ingenuity protecting him from any super-powered killing machine. He is particularly vulnerable to psychic attacks, though.

He is occasionally prevented from sleeping by his mask, hearing voices he can't rationally explain. He's unsure if he's actually hearing things or just plain ol' crazy. Sometimes the voices distract him to the point where he becomes very sloppy, distracting him, sometimes purposefully it would seem. The less he sleeps, the more the voices talk to him.

SAMPLE POST:
"Who did this to him?" asked a teary eyed Supergirl.

"I can't be sure, it's not like they left a hallmark card with their signature written on his corpse." Or did they, he raised an eyebrow as he took a closer look. "Fascinating," Annex purred privately as his eyes bathed themselves in their stimuli.

The Kryptonite lodged in the boy's chest was not of terrestrial origin, as was usually the case. But it wasn't even from Krypton. Definite traces of residual mana linger over the crystals. Put simply, someone had killed Superman's protege with magical Kryptonite. It hardly required The Mask of Insight to know that they were invested in making sure it worked.

The blood splattered off of Sentinel's chest indicated a shotgun blast at point blank range. Beyond the shape of the wound and the pattern of the blood, one fact stood out. The blood sample is incompatible with either humans or kryptonians. It more closely resembles that of a Martian.

NOTES:
-He's called Annex for his tendency to augment his arsenal by adding other people's inventions to it.
-He never takes the mask off
-I'm really proud of this particular OC

That sample post tho. I thought you'd actually killed Sentinel off until that last line.

Bwahaha. Thought you'd like that.

While this is probably my favorite OC ever, I feel he may possibly cross into Kid Qs and Cobalts territory too much as far as mechanical knowledge and engineering proficiency go. For that reason I considered taking him to the other game, but figured I'd just see first. The whole mask of insight thing is really an idea I stole from Bionicle. Love me some Bionicle.

I love it. I love all of it.

I assume you have a 'source' of the knowledge the mask taps into, like the speed force.

The Knitter seems like a silly silver age Jack Kirby-esque Green Lantern substitute. I love it, Natty.

Facepunch, a frequent choice of character for me is Kyle Rayner reimagined to be a teenaged hero. Also, I had actually considered doing a Lantern for these games, but made a Man-Bat and a sociopath instead.

A handful of potential Titans I'venoticed include: Scarlet, The Red Hood's sidekick; one of the horde members from I, Vampire; Aaron Langstrom; and Kitrina Falcone, Catgirl

@Nightrunner

I would recommend not to play Scarlet, not to give off spoilers or anything.
And also, remember this is pre flashpoint, so Kyle would be Torchbearer and everything, so you're probably gonna have to make a OC GL.

@Hillan

What? Play Scarlet? Why--I've never heard a more preposterous idea. I would never..this is an outrage. Can't a man randomly ramble his dream team of comic book recruits without it being interpreted as any linear pattern of thought or suggestion. *Grumble grumble*

Edit: Yeah, I was just rambling, btw. Mentioned Kyle cuz Facepunch asked about making a GL. Truth is, it may be more interesting to make a different colored Lantern in this context.

Haha, I know you were.
Problem with different colored lanterns is that they all rely on the green lantern somehow. Well, blue at least. And we have plenty of dysfunctional sociopaths without a red ragehulk or a kleptomanic orange gluton. So I think green is what you'll have to stick with.

Well, Blue only need Greens for weapons. It'd be a great reason to rely on the team if you seriously are unable to hit back. But yellow could be interesting, but would require one really good explanation. But yes, more lunatics there

Star Saphires, though, not much in the way there. And with Indigo you could totally have all sorts of effects. Green is certainly the most straightforward, though.

EDIT: Not that I'm arguing, master, just thinking out loud-ish

I've always wanted a teenified Kyle in the show Young Justice.

Their Zatanna and one of John Stewart's lines about why they didn't have a "teen lantern" was exactly what gave me the idea.

I considered a blue lantern before I went wiki diving. Their rings are totally and completely useless without a GL around. All it does is let them fly and survive in space.

A Red Lantern would have to act a bit too much like Sentinel, and I don't feel like playing the same character.

Larafleeze is the only orange lantern.

Indigo would be very unique, and could have been interesting. But I like to characterize, and Indigo's are allowed to be (ironically) unique.

Star Sapphire...I only really play male characters since I'm a guy. I don't wan to fall into stereotypes and cliches, and I'm afraid that would happen if I tried to play a female. The only male SS has been Jon Stewart, so I don't see that as an option either.

Black and White are both off limits for obvious reasons.

I could see a yellow lantern being a possibility. However, he wouldn't fit well with the team dynamic we're going for and the rest of his Corps is kind of super evil so that would be an issue too.

Overall, green is just easier.

Speaking of lanterns: Could we pretend the last major GL event was Brightest Day? War of the Green lanterns and Third Army both heavily tie into the New 52; which we're ignoring, so that would turn out messy real quick. This would mean that, in a nutshell:

Hal Jordan is a Guardian of the Universe.

The Guardians aren't totally off their rocker crazy pants

Guy and Kyle are both GLs and members of the Honor Guard

Simon Baz never happened.

This would also mean that the assigning of another Lantern to sector 2814 would make sense. After all, Jon Stewart is technically the only lantern for this sector and each sector is required to have two lanterns. Hal Jordan could still operate from Earth, but he'd have responsibilities across the universe. The same can be said for Guy and Kyle, but they would probably be more earth based than Hal.
