Niinii looked up to the perpetual night sky of Traverse Town, counting the many still twinkling stars, and his heart sank each time a star suddenly become dim and suddenly vanish into the blackness of the night sky. Niinii has been in a state of heartache as he ran away from his homeworld which just a few days ago he thought was the only one in existence, but he was sadly mistaken. Before those shadowy monsters attacked he would've been so excited to be offworld and learning of the worlds beyond the sky. But watching his world being consumed by those shadowy monsters was the most painful thing he ever had to endure. But he had to keep moving forward, for he will not believe that is to be the fate for Ivalice, he will fix it, like he always does whenever he sees a mistake or something broken, he will do everything to bring back his world and fix it from what those monsters destroyed. And Niinii somehow knew that the thing that saved him, will help get to his desire.

Niinii outstretched his short arm and suddenly in a quick flash of light a key like sword materialized in his small twitchy hands, it still felt heavy and uneven in his hands with the key like teeth at the end made it feel lopsided, but it gave him hope, enough to fight back the monsters no matter how much they scared the young Moogle to the core. He has to.

Niinii stood up from the small patch of grass he was sitting on, this was the first time in days he had time to somewhat relax and not be working on the ship that made survive his world destruction. He still felt drained and listless from his endeavours, but once he gathered enough energy to walk around and get a better look at the world he ended up in. When he first arrived there was a sign that told him the town was called Traverse Town. But that's all he knows about it, the people here all seemed to be humes, and the few people that noticed Niinii seemed to point out that he looks odd for a moogle. Maybe if moogles are off world that could explain how there was that ship blueprint back in Ivalice that got him here. But he can worry about that later, for now he needs to figure what to do. Niinii walked up the stairs to the higher level of the district he's currently in, which conveniently called district 1. On the top of the stairs is a large building that seems to take up a good amount of space in the district, there is a sign above and to the left of the double doors that depict the words Jewelry in giant neon lights.

Should he go in?

The Moogle's expression was quizzical and thoughtful as he was unable to decide what to do.

Fion awoke up feeling mild pain which is expected after being launched out of a train and falling who knows how much feet. He began to look around soon found out he clearly wasn't in Twilight Town any more which made him wonder where the heck he was. So Fion walked down from the side street he was in and soon saw what looked a plaza with two doors one to the west and a massive door to the south aswell as what looked like cafe and a jewellery store. it looked like there was a few people here and there so he might aswell ask them...

Fion soon discovered he was in a place called Traverse Town which was apparently a town for people whose worlds got destroyed by creatures called heartless. This was intriguing to Fion as he once read about creatures known as heartless and some known as nobodies but didn't really know much else besides their names.

Fion soon began to wonder if his world was destroyed or if it's fine seeing as he was the only target for those heartless...it also wasn't the first time he's seen them they've always been around Twilight Town just kind of being creepy...

Hmm now I'm curious about that blade I used earlier I wonder If I can summon it at will.

After saying that Fion put his hand in front of him and concentrated the key shaped blade appeared before his hand again...

That's pretty interesting I should probably give it a name or something instead of key shaped blade hmmm Keyblade? that sounds good.

Fion then looked near the jewellery shop and saw a rather skinny and tall moogle well tall for a moogle anyway short otherwise the moogle also appeared to be holding a keyblade himself so Fion decided he should probably talk to the moogle.

Hey you there Moogle im just curious where'd you get your weapon your keyblade?

Atop the roof of a building that flanked the Accessory Shop, one could see a absent minded boy, his stare fixed onto the twilight of the night sky. The boy's name was Nero, a survivor of the infamous Hallow Bastion, and one of the newest residence of Traverse Town. As his hand lifted to course through his spiked blonde hair, his eyes would divert back down the sketch pad that resided in his lap. Upon the once blank page now sat drawings and doodles of many a thing. Some seemed to be portraits of others, where as some seemed to be depictions of a rather well known breed of monsters- the Heartless. As his eyes scanned over his own creations, he tore the page form his pad with a heavy sigh as he drew a pencil once more from his pocket.

As the tip of the utensil hit the paper, a sudden inspiration washed over the boy as he rapidly began scribbling upon the page. At first, what seemed to be a random series of straight lines slowly formed into the shape of a key... Though this was not any normal key. In fact, this was the weapon that appeared the night his home had been taken by Heartless. Pausing a moment, his mind flickered back to the moment he held the weapon in his hand, facing off against one the devilish shadows as it appeared as a glimmer of light in his hand. It was that memory that caused the boy to erase a portion of what he had drawn, extending the length of the blade slightly as he began to memorize the artifact more clearly.

It was only when he heard the faint sounds of conversation shatter the silence, that Nero turned his attention from his latest creation and towards the duo a distance away. As his eyes settled upon them, he couldn't help but notice a distinctly familiar item they both shared.

"No... It can't be," Nero thought, his eyes glancing back and forth between his sketch and the two carrying the physical form of it, "There's more of them?" Nero couldn't help but grin. After all this time, he thought he was something special, something that would be the savior of his former friends and his past home. However, it seemed that fate had other plans. Tucking his pad beneath his arm, he'd begin scurrying about the roof tops as he positioned himself for a better angle. Though he did his best to remain from sight, he attempted to get close enough to hear whatever conversation arose.

Sitting at the cafe and drinking a cup of tea,Asha does not where or when she is. Asha is also unsure if she is even on cocoon any more. She thinks back to the event leading up to now. Those strange creatures are unlike anything she has seen. Also the weapon in the shape of a key. At the time, Asha did not think much of it but now... Asha concludes that finding out more will hopefully help her find a way home. First she must find someone in this place called Traverse town, who will have the answers she wants. Asha finishes tea, pays with the little "munny" she picked and led.

Upon leaving, Asha looked at a notice on a lamppost which was advertising alchemy near the jewelry shop. Aaha decided to go there to find out more about alchemy and hopefully answer other questions too. On her way, Asha came across a boy and a moogle and both weild the key-like weapon. She heard about the moogle back home but this one is slightly different that what she heard. Nevermind that, the weapon is what interested Asha. She thought about it, stretch her right hand out and called for it mentally. It arrived in her hand in a brilliance. Then she willed it away and it obeyed. "Enough of that. It is time for information seeking. Not playing." Thought Asha. Asha walked up to the boy and moogle with the "Keyblades" and asked " Could one of you help me and answer some questions. I am new to town."

Tera hummed softly to herself, a hand holding onto a little music player, to which was attached a stark white wire that led to two small, white earbuds nestled within her ears. She walked along the brown brick path, smiling to herself as she made her way to the town square.

She'd heard of the small crowd that was gathering in the square. Something about visitors from other worlds, and something about keys. The townspeople had been gossiping about it ever since she woke up. The people in question were in the town square, and since the only cafe was there too, she'd have breakfast before investigating. Perhaps she'd find answers as to why she too had a key. Or, more precisely, a keyblade.

The slim, black data disk on her back was, in fact, her Keyblade, but for reasons unknown even to her, it kept the form of the disk whenever it was mounted on her. Perhaps what weird force had turned the disk into the blade was controlling it, she didn't know. That's what she was here to figure out.

The square wasn't crowded, in fact the only real people there were the shopkeepers. Then she saw the boy and the moogle outside the accessory shop, closely followed by a young girl who'd been at the cafe just minutes earlier. True to the gossip, both the boy and the moogle had a keyblade, and judging from how the girl was interacting with them, it was safe to assume she had one too, a suspicion soon confirmed when she summoned hers and put it away just as quickly.

Now, Tera never believed in things such as fate, but she was convinced that it was no mere coincidence that not one, not two, but three key bearers were in the same place. Soon to be four.

She pulled the buds from her ears and strolled on over to the little group, stowing her player in her pocket. As she approached, she pulled her disk from her back mount and, with a flash of light, the disk transformed into her Keyblade. A special sort of thing. Its keychain jingles gently in the wind as she approached the trio.

"Hey! Couldn't help but notice you guys have keyblades too! I have one as well! See?"

She help up her blade, at which point she fumbled with it and it felt from her hand, flashing back into her data disk as it clattered onto the floor. Grinning sheepishly, she picked up the disk and reattached it to her back mount.

"Well, besides that, how did you guys get your keys? I'm curious!"

With the young Moogle deep in thought he was taken aback when the voice of a young hume spoke at him, Niinii jumped in place. And looking up at him with a surprised look. It took him a moment to get over his surprised to possess the hume's words, and a moment of confusion, Niinii figured what he meant by 'keyblade' the very sword which Niinii has unknowingly still carried in his paws. Before the young Moogle could respond a second person, a Hume girl, and right after her another Hume girl with blonde hair walked up from the stairs and pulled out a disk thing off her back in turned into a key shaped sword. Niinii was utterly befuddled, his pompon was standing right at end and his body was stiff and it took the normally quick witted Moogle a moment to think what to say.

"I'm new to town as well so I don't know much besides that it's not my world, Kupo." Niinii responded honestly to the dark haired Hume. Niinii wondered if these Humes know that there are other worlds. Niinii nonchalantly willed his 'Keyblade' into nothing until the next time he has need of it. He crossed one of his arms across his abdomen and put his other arm on top of it so that he can place his hand under his chin to help him think more clearly, for the last few days has been hard on him. He has been thinking of an explanation on the origins of his 'Keyblade' but why he got it there was no explanation.

"Where I got my Keyblade from I'm entirely sure, but how I got it... I was finishing making a ship that would take me to outer space, and BAM! Kupo." Niinii suddenly yelled and widen his stance and extending his arms out to visualize the metaphorical explosion, "Shadowy monsters barged into my workshop before I could escape with the Ship, between me and the ship must of have been dozens of them, and they all jumped at me with claws sharp like daggers and...BOOM! Kupo." Niinii told his story in a dramatic fashion and at the end he lift his right arm up to air and with a flash of light there was suddenly a Keyblade in his hands. "This 'Keyblade' appeared in my hands, so with the power to fight back I fought them with finesse and speed to the dock of my ship and was able to blast them away and make it to this strange town with only the ship and the clothes on my back, just mere hours ago. Kupo." Niinii finished his stories, He always love telling his stories, and it helped to toughen up from his crestfallen demeanor just moments ago. The story was mostly accurate except for the part of him being able to fight with finesse, panicked flailing would've been more accurate. "but what of you three?" Niinii lowed the Keyblade and had the tip on the ground which he then used to lean on with a quizzical look across his face towards the three Humes.

Fion was somewhat surprised that there were even more people with keyblades and further surprised that the blonde girl called it a keyblade aswell perhaps she just heard him call it that. but he felt he should probably answer the moogles question even if he couldn't give much help.

Well to be perfectly honest I'm not from this world either I'm from Twilight Town and honestly we have heartless occasionally hanging out in the tunnels we have in town...Anyway I got my keyblade when a group of particularly nasty heartless decided to attack me I fought back for abit but then a weird train popped up so I decided to board it then woke up here.

Fion made sure that's all he really knew or rather should say by this point. Fion then made sure to take a look at the two girls so he could see who he was talking to and to see what they look like. He then realized he still had his blade out so he threw it up in the air and let it dissapear.

Fion then decided to check what he had on him...

keyblade check....munny 500 check.....and one potion check....

everything was there so he felt he should be fine for now since if they get attacked at least he can heal himself or one of the other 3 with him and since he had 500 munny could probably buy some more potions maybe some accessories like a sardonyx ring. besides that he should concentrate on learning where everyone came from.

With legs now dangling over the ledge before him, Nero had taken a seat on a roof overlooking the quartet as they spoke. It seems they were all curious about each other's possession of the oddly shaped weapon; referring to it as a 'Keyblade'. As the moogle began regaling his story of how he came in possession of his own, Nero's mind absently wandered as he held up his hand. Sure enough, the blade materialized as it had done several times before. It seemed to respond to it's owner's whim, dissipating and reappearing on command as if by magic- though Nero didn't have much experience or knowledge in the 'mystical' ways of the worlds. Even with his time around the others of Hollow Bastion, he could never really grasp the fundamentals of magic, deciding to focus on the more physical aspects of his training; all the while drawing inspiration from his heroes: Cloud and Squall (or Leon as he preferred to go by now).

'Guess it can't be helped,' Nero's thoughts resounded in his own head as he gave a subtle sigh, pushing himself up from the edge of the roof and dimissing his blade. Quickly, he'd make his descent to the street below, navigating his way back around to the courtyard where the four continued to stand. He did not call attention to himself, rather he'd rest himself on a wall not far from where the group had gathered, 'Not yet. I'll wait to hear a bit more.' He shook his head as his hesitance to reveal himself kept him away. He had been on his own for so long now, that even the prospect of being around others deterred him, 'Besides, I've made it just fine without them so far. They'll just be one more thing I have to worry about.' Though a part of Nero may have actually believed the words that were crossing his mind, a vast majority of his person was relieved to see others like him.

Asha was surprised at the links between the boy's, moogle's and her own story. "Keyblade" and "heartless" are two words that Asha has not encountered before. Asha explained her own predicament. " I am from Cocoon. Spacetime distortions are common at the moment there. During one such distortion, these shadowy beasts , what you call heartless, spawned in vast numbers. Despite the best efforts, the monsters pushed my friends and I back. But the weapon, you call Keyblade, appeared to me and the tide of battle turned to my favour. We pushed the monsters back. When the distortion closed, it seems that I came along with the ride."

When Asha was finished, she is happy that she is not only one that has been taken from their "home world". Asha continued to say " we should band together. It seems we all have something to offer. " Asha came to a realization "Oh. Where are my manners? My name is Asha" Although the others might reject the idea of forming a group with strangers, it is better than losing to the heartless. "I think we should get to know each other better. On top of that, we should find someone who knows more about our predicament. I think we have not seen the last of the heartless."

What a place to be marooned. A walled town, three small districts. And nothing beyond the walls. It was surreal, but everyone accepted it to be normal. Well, maybe not normal, but they accepted it nonetheless.

Markus, on the other hand, saw it as nothing but exile. Worse than being on the pirate ship. If he was to leave, he would need to figure out the nature of this place. He had tried to calculate his location by the stars, but they were strange to him. Useless. Maybe he could purchase a start chart, but he'd need money. His clothes were fine, but he wasn't about to pawn them. What would he wear? Common clothes? No.

His sword then. The fine gold filigree rapier his father had given him. With his keyblade(he knew the name for this instinctively, though he had not heard anyone say that word) he wouldn't need it. There was a jeweler, that would be the best. There was a shop that sold weapons, but he doubted they would appreciate the fine workmanship on it. It was no mere weapon, it was a piece of art.

When he rounded the corner, he nearly ran into another young man leaning against the wall, who was looking on at a crowd of people in front of the jeweler. A crowd of people with keyblades, Markus noted with a start.

Markus looked at the young man(probably the same age as him) by the wall and spoke to him.

"Excuse me, sorry to bother. Do you know, by chance, what that group of people is? Only, I'm curious about those strange things they hold. I have... come across one as well and I am unsure what to do with it."

With the sudden voice resounding behind him, Nero rounded sharply as he pushed off the wall by instinct. Now standing before the newcomer warily, Nero eyed him over cautiously before easing out of his ready posture, "... I'm not sure myself. They've been over there discussing something about 'Keyblades' and how they came across their own. Seems like just a random group of kids to me." He knew what he was saying wasn't entirely true... There was nothing random or normal about the trinkets they all three held within their grasps. Still, this new experience made Nero unsure of how to react or respond to these sorts of questions, 'Better to cover for them in case he means trouble.' Yet something just dawned on Nero.

"You say you've seen one? Where?" The sudden spark of curiosity had Nero asking his questions with a subtle excitment, "Were there Heartless about?" As if suddenly realizing his change in attitude, Nero cleared his throat as he scratched the back of his neck, "... Sorry. Guess I should first start off by asking you your name?"

Markus was equally wary now, but did not skip a beat. "Well, it is usually customary to give your own name before asking someone else's. But I should blame myself for a lapse in manners; I should have introduced myself before asking something of you. Markus, is my name. May I ask yours?"

The young man(they must have been the same age, Markus thought) seemed a little excited by the idea of the keyblade. Likely, that is why he was stalking the others.

Akira stood near the cafe watching all of the people nearby. He watched as a few of the others all began pulling out Keyblades and he just shook his head. He had learned that the HEartless were drawn to the Keyblades and having this many in one area could draw them in like moths to a flame. Seeing two others begining to interact he took note of the similarities one had with the poeple of his world and wandered over to the pair.
"Please tell me you both don't have Keyblades as well." he said once he had gotten closer to them. he paused and brushed his brown hair from his face and moved to stand near the two calmly shifting his gaze back and forth from them to the gathering crowd.

"Nero, it-" As Nero began his reply, he'd hear another voice call out from the side, "Seems we have another visitor." As he turned his attention from Marcus to the direction of the new voice, Nero couldn't help but be taken aback.

"Akira?" He spoke aloud, shaking his head before returning his gaze towards the boy. Sure enough, it was him. Though he didn't know Akira all that well, he had met the boy a few times on their home world. It seemed that yet another Hallow Bastion refugee found their way here, "So, you made it too?" Nero couldn't tell if he was more surprised or impressed by the revelation. Yet, as Akira stepped forward, his question made Nero pinch the bridge of his nose, "So, there's seven of them about? Can't be coincidental..." With that, Nero flexed his right hand, a glimmer of light radiated from his hand as his blade appeared shortly after, only to disappear as the glimmer faded. He'd cast a knowing glance between the two about him.

Markus rolled his eyes at the abandonment of subtlety and held his left hand lazily in front of him. His keyblade appeared, held in a loose grip.

"I can't say I know what it means, but I have to agree that they must be related in a way.

"You mentioned, what was it, Heartless? Would those be black and red creatures? Cruel men can turn into them, perhaps?"

Akira chuckled recognizing Nero after he could get closer and watched as the two of them revealed their keyblades before he too held his hand out and in a flash of light his own Keyblade appeared.
"I agree Nero. In no way can this be a coincidence." he said before the other guy began asking about the Heartless.
"Not exactly, anyone can become one they essentialy consume your Heart. Cruelty has nothing to do with becoming one.." Akira said as his voice trailed off as if lost in thought.

"I see," Markus replied, letting his keyblade dissolve into the air. "I've only seen one, I thought a person had to be inherently dark to fall like that."

He didn't say it aloud, but it frightened him to think that that could happen to anyone. Could it even happen to him? Or was his heart too strong to be taken? He didn't know, but he hid his doubt in customary stoicism as they discussed the keyblades.

POP.

POP. POPOPOPOPOPOPOP!.

A display of fireworks began overhead, the crackling and the snapping, the bright reds and yellows, and dazzling explosions went off overhead. The night sky was glowing with color and it seemed very odd considering what was happening on other worlds.

Then the fireworks stopped as quickly as they began.

Smoke and bits of things fell from the air, like a light snow. Had anyone tried to look for the source they would have seen that they were coming from the third district.

Those watching would also notice something else. It was the faint sound of a struggle going on. The giant door to the Third district was shut, assuring heartless would keep away.

Right next to the party the door of the shop opened wide. A man with goggles looked at them for a moment then toward the third district.

"What's with all that racket? Sounds like ya'll are setting off fireworks." For those that knew anything about Traverse Town or the restoration organization in Radiant Garden, this was Cid Highwind. "Hey, are those keyblades?" Cid asked, looking at the large weapons in the hands of the kids.

"Riku'd get a kick outa you guys. If only he were here and no screwing around in.. uh. doesn't matter. What are you kids doing out here?"

Niinii poltely listen to the two talk about their experiences, they both seem to be in the same sort of trouble as the moogle. Niinii was honestly relived to noy be the only one going though with all this.

Suddenly there was a loud popping noise ringing thought out the whole district, and when the moogle quickly turned to look for the source he seen brilliant lights shot out the big door to the west of the district. And before Niinii ran off to investagate the sound the door to the store he was originally go into suddenly open and a man with blond hair with goggles yelled out to the group. And he asked if they wield the keyblade. Guess that what they called. Niinii thought.

"Well Mister Hume, I was going to go into your store, but I got swept into the disscuion about the weapons you called a keyblade, Kupo." Niinii poltely summarized the group disscuion. "And I was about to investigate the origins of that odd noise, I wanted to make sure it wasn't the heartless, Kupo." Niinii responeed with honesty. He doesn't want to feel useless while heartless attacked innocent people. He will go there as soon as possible. "And I should still go over there, Kupo."

"Well, I was trying to escape my world, actually. It was on the verge of being consumed by...something, a virus, I think. I found the portal out but these weird dark things got in the way. I took out my disk to fight back and it turned into a keyblade! That's how I got mine."

She smiled as she listened to the others talk about their experiences. So much to learn in this new world! Not to mention the cute little fuzzy thing in front of her too! What were they called? And how did they get so adorable?

Suddenly -

"Fireworks!"

Tera squeaked a little at the magnificent spectacle above their head, giggling as the flashing lights and wild cracks and booms echoed throughout the square. It was quite a sight, alright, but then the gruff voice tore her out of her reverie.

"We were, um, talking about our keyblades, sir! Do you know where these come from?"
