  • Name: Thena. She never gave a last name.
  • Age: 34
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Elf
  • Appearance: Thena is quite tall, standing at 1m93 with an above-average build. Long brown hair reaches down to about halfway down her back with the pointy ears standard of all elves poking out between the strands. The elf's hazel eyes barely avoid being covered by her hair, with her nose being positioned rather unnaturally low on her face, a centimer and a half above her rather average lips. Thena's muscles and broad shoulders show pretty easily through her red-and-black, sleeveless leather jacket that cuts off halfway towards the waist. It does a good job of pushing back her average chest as it almost seems as if it isn't there while she's wearing it. Across her arm are two long sleeves sticking to the muscle ending in a glove each, embedded with spikes. Much like her top the pants consist of leather dyed red and black. Her pants are tucked into two brown boots secured with miniature belts so that they're tightly secured.
  • Bio: Thena comes from a lower-class society in the plains, born in bad shape. Her parents tried their best to bring food on the table, although this usually didn't really happen. From her particular region it's hard to find work and even harder to find edible things. So they had to steal. And so did Thena, when she came to an age where she could feasibly sneak in somewhere and make off with the food. Although that's just her childhood, and more than that the elf doesn't really disclose. Form that point on she grew up to be a street brawler, and eventually a travelling hired hand. Whatever someone needed her fighting skills for, she'd do it without questions asked. It got food on the table and she couldn't complain, even when doing some... Immoral things. Eventually she made her way to Midcy'ru through the Traticcan empire. The difference between Thena and most of the elves there was astounding, The plain born elf being much less refined and ruder compared to most of them. When her business there was done Thena entered Civitas in hope of finding work.
  • Equipment: Thena's regular outfit, made to absorb force of impact but easely able to be cut through and a pair of leather gloves outfitted with spikes on top.
  • Abilities: The elf fights with her fists, preferring to get up close and personal with someone so she can read their moves and counter-attack with her own. It's clear she learned her techniques from the street, with a very aggressive style that emphasizes on power rather than skill. Still, it's not unrefined as it leaves little opening for counterattack in a one on one brawl and it's speed being superior to something you can achieve with a blade or axe. Still, it comes with a range disadvantage as Thena still needs to get in the opponent's face to actually hit them, giving a major disadvantage to long ranged weapon users... Or magic.
  • Reason for Joining the Broken Horns: Adventuring seemed like an interesting offer, plus she was already travelling as is. Thena could always ditch Rask whenever she wanted and continue on with her usual life.

  • Name: Wretha Thorne (Emerson)
  • Age: 26
  • Gender: Female
  • Species: Human
  • Appearance: Wretha is poised, mysterious, and utterly composed, she is a seductive and formidable beauty full of secrets and danger. She primarily appears dressed in a stately, polished manner and maintains an air of refinement and inscrutability when times permits. Ms. Thorne stands at a modest 5'7 and and is of average weight, leaning more on the slim side. Raven black hair that rolls down the full length of her back is usually kept pinned up, dark sockets surround piercing green eyes and serve as clear contrast to her overly pale complexion. Despite her outward appearance, Wretha is no stranger to kindness and compassion and is far from incapable of friendship and courtesy.
  • Bio: Wretha Thorne, a name that hardly anyone has ever heard before and rightly so. It wasn't until a couple years back - eight to be exact - until she made her first appearance at the border of the Trattican Empire and Midcy'ru traveling with a caravan. With nothing more than the clothes on her back the then young girl spent several years moving from place to place through the elven lands and picking odd jobs here and there, but she never stayed in one place for too long and has always kept her head down. She learned a great deal during her travels about all the different kinds of plants and their direct affect with the human body. Her magical talents have also served her well keeping Wretha out of trouble many a times and having to resort to a more direct approach when the situation hasn't been avoidable. She is more than capable of taking care of herself.
  • Equipment: Wretha owns very little in the way of weaponry, only carrying a small curved dagger used mostly in self-defense. She is usually seen covered in her trademark black and dark green cloak, made of expensive and sturdy - but light- material. In addition, she also possesses a small black book which she carries on her person at all times.
  • Abilities: Ms. Thorne's fighting prowess is damn near non-existence. She lacks any semblance of proper training in the use of a sword or bow or even hand to hand combat, but what she lacks in physical skills, she more than makes up in other talents. Perhaps her strongest suit being an adept psychic, not in the mind-reading sense, but an ability that serves as an extension to her own innate intuition and clairvoyance. Wretha is also skilled in incantations and an accomplished Herbalist (non-magical).
  • Reason for Joining the Broken Horns: The allure of constant travel is what has piqued Wretha curiosity, being one that never likes to stay in one location for too long, this works perfectly.

Name: Howland Morrys
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Appearance: Howland is a tall, thin, pale figure who usually stands a half-head taller than most men with high check bones and is nestled with thick brown hair that is often brushed to the side. He also comprised of sharp facial features and cold, blue eyes with thin eyebrows to top them. Howland is also noted for being handsome, but never smiles.

Personality Traits: Sharp-tongued, quiet, and merciful yet bitter, mainly due to his young arrogance/cockiness.
Bio: Howland was the third-born son of a large, commoner family and was taught the art of wielding a sword by his older brother, a veteran of war and combat. Howland's father was killed during war and most of his education his self-taught and soon learned to be literate with the help of his older siblings in his peaceful farm somewhere in The Plains. In a few short years that Howland would read any book he would find as little as they appeared although most of which were Adventure books or great epics of Dragon-slaying heroes and ambitious warlords. It was in that moment that he dreamed of being an adventurer and explore the world, but to little avail, he was a commoner farmer who would not likely hold any land of his own or see much of an adventure. However, his peaceful life would not be for long as war would soon rage in the kingdom, calling upon everyone including commoners to be drafted into the war.

While his 3 older brothers fought during the war, Howland (who was 13 at the time) was left as "Head of the Household" under it's lord since he was the only suitable male at the time. It was in that moment that Howland learned the responsibilities of "being a man" as his mother told him, he was left in charge to protect the farm from anyone who dared to threaten them. Although guards came to visit from the village near the farm, they were never truly the protection they needed and since the household was left to one boy, bandits soon took this opportunity to raid the farm to seize it's food or resources for themselves. Howland, at the age of 15, his mother, and other relatives (who were mainly either women or underage men) were soon tested as bandits attempted to raid the farm. It was during that raid when he killed his two men in single combat, applying the skills of the art of sword yielding in which his brothers taught him, the third managed to get away with his life but was later found dead from his infections. Sadly however, Howland's mother was fatally injured when being stabbed by a spear during the ensuing violence, it was a year later in which his brothers would return home from war, learning of the terrible news that their mother had died.

With the death of his mother and the return of his older brothers, Howland would soon leave his life as a farmer and take his father's sword, running far away into the thick woods. In order that his brothers would not to pursue after him, he left a note to urge them to not follow him. It's been two years already, while Howland spent most of his days travelling the continent, in search for work which later nurtured his skills in sword fighting. There have been successful attempts as well as failures on his end and Howland stills has a lot of learn if he truly wants to be a notable warrior and adventurer like the ones he read so much about in his books. Luckily, he found the Broken Horns, a group of young and ambitious souls with a passion for adventure.

Equipment:

  • Armor: Howland wears leather armor which is covered a fine silks and a cape to protect him from the harsh, cold mountains. A thick hide of black boots are placed around his feet which is made of leather and fur. Behind the armor, lies a fine, silk shirt which is mainly made of material which can stop arrows from having the arrowhead digging into the flesh, it is an ancient armor which was passed down from a line of predecessors. Rather than have the arrow itself dig into the flesh, the arrow is dug into the shirt which tears the flesh but doesn't tough the skin itself which prevents the arrowhead from ripping flesh when it's pulled out.
  • Jewelry: His mother's gold necklace and a ring of healing which was given to him by a group of white mages.
  • Weapons: Yeoman Longbow (along with 30 arrows), Steel Long-sword of his father, a Long Dagger with a decorated, dragon shaped hilt, 3 Knifes which are safely hidden somewhere underneath his armor for protection, and a ring of healing used to help cast healing spells that is tightly wrapped around his right ring finger.
  • Survival items: Flint, healing scrolls, strings (for trap-making).

Abilities: Decent swordsman and is competent with a long bow, Howland is mainly self-taught but most of his affinity comes from his older brothers and constant hours of sparing, although he's killed a few man. He also knows a few, minor healing spells he learned from run-ins with mages.
Goals: To forget about his past, to live young and venture far out into the world in search of future wisdom.
Reason for Joining the Broken Horns: As Howland grew older, he realized that he never pursued his life as an adventurer and surly his talents with a sword would earn him a way in achieving his childhood dream after internally excruciating moments of bleak despair of boredom that was his home, apart from the feelings of self-blame to protect his mother. The thought joining the Broken Horns would serve as a chance to give him a chance of adventure and what spoils of treasure came with it, if any at all in order to help him forget what was done in the past.

Name: Rekugin

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Species: Human/Elf

Appearance: Rekugin is around 5'8" and only weighs around 70kg. An elven face with high cheekbones, sharp angular eyes and small mouth is perched on a skinny and wiry body that hides a huge amount of strength. His eyes are almost white glow faintly, the only thing seen from underneath the black hooded cloak he always wear. Underneath the hood is long shaggy white hair that he puts into a top knot.
Beneath his cloak he wears cotton underclothes and on top that he has his armour on. His long hands are gloved with black leather, with white cording around his fingers on his right hand. He stands in thick leather boots with metal caps on the end. (He looks deadly)

Bio: Rekugin killed his mother when she gave birth, it was odd seeing as all the elves tried to save her with magic but nothing worked. this was due to the fact that she was human and couldn't handle the pain and magic. Because of this Rekugin's father never forgave him for "murdering a beautiful woman." The only elven child in the colony of elves, he led a lonely life by himself. His father losing the woman he loved started dabbling in forbidden magic and eventually got exiled from the colony of elves. Rekugin was forced to go with his father who directed all his hate towards him.
Rekugin was 13 when he killed his first man. This was a year after surviving in the forest by himself after his father left him there with a message of "trust no one." Rekugin's vowed to do one thing in life and that is to find his father and tell him that his message has been learnt, and stab a knife through his fathers neck. To do that he knew he would have to survive long enough to get out of the forest. He ended up learning the ways of the forest, as he moved through to find away out, but ended up reaching the outer edges one day. This is where he killed his first man. After that he was taken in by a band of outlaws, that prayed on the merchant routes and roads, where he started to learn how to fight. He got most of his weapons and skills from the outlaw band where he rose in ranks as a ruthless leader/killer. His ambushes nearly always bore fruit. He left at the age of 15 to adventure the world and to try and find his father.

Equipment:
Armour-scratched iron breastplate stolen from a dead soldier, greaves and reinforced leather bracers. His cloak is his proudest possession. It is made up of silk on the inside, wool on the outside, with fine chain mail as hidden layer inside, this deflects a surprise sword strokes and whatnot but not a full attack. it covers his body from head to toe, when the hood is up and comes around his shoulder to drape across and cover the front of his body. It actually belonged to a giant of a man, that was the leader of a band of mercenaries protecting a caravan of precious goods for some lord. Rekugin managed to win the fight but found the cloak, a perfect fit for the giant too large for him. Just about as he was deciding to sell the cloak an arrow came and hit off the cloak as he was admiring it, showing him the armour qualities of it, this prompted him to keep it.
Weapons- his main weapon is his longbow, made of a heavy Blackwood it has a draw of around 80pounds. The arrows for his bow are in three quivers, one on his back and the others strapped to his thighs. He has two short swords around half a meter long strapped at his tail bone. One is a gladius blade taken from another soldier. The other one is long tapered stiletto blade.
Misc-He carries his bedroll and leather pack on his back underneath the cloak. A variety of leather pouches hang of his belt with a variety of stuff in them. Things like flint and steel, money, dried meat...

Abilities: Rekugin normally fights from a distance or set up an ambush. He has no morals, he just wants to end the fight. A skilled archer he will normally set up in a position that will give him an advantage and shoot arrows at the enemy with high accuracy. If he needs to fight close-quater he normal uses two short-swords. He doesn't have any magical powers and tries to stay away from magic as much as possible. he occasionally uses a healing potion or a ring of power but never for long.

Reason for Joining the Broken Horns: Rekugin's reason for joining is probably to explore the world and to try and find his father. Anything else is just a bonus

Name: Mordrag Desertheart

Age: 36

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Appearance:

Mordrag's appearance closely mirrors his wild personality. His dirt brown hair hangs to his shoulders, jutting in all directions and meeting his chest-length beard. Both unwashed, his hair and beard might contain bits of food from any time in the past week. Mordrag is a towering hulk of a man with thick, corded muscles from years of fighting mingling with layers of fat from years of drinking and eating. He has strong features with a powerful jawline and bushy eyebrows set in a heavy, furrowed brow. His blue eyes contrast brightly with his tanned and sun weathered skin. Worn over his broad shoulders is a sleeveless burgundy vest, buttoned only halfway up to reveal abundant black chest hair. His black pants have a multitude of pockets attached or sewn in, each filled with different objects. Black leather boots and white cloth wrappings around his wrists finish of his daily outfit. When ready for battle, Mordrag's adds a black, hardleather single pauldron with an attached canvas torso covering to his attire.

Bio: Born in the Gothi Federation to a single mother, Mordrag never knew his father. Because he was always larger than the other children, Mordrag was forced to be a warrior from an early age, beating down every other boy who tried to prove their strength against the big one. These small victories fed continuously into the man's confidence, givimg him boisterous and hedonistic tendencies. Not the most intelligent of his barbarian tribe, the big man grew into the only role he could find, as the muscle for smarter, smaller men. After working security for a few years for a small satellite of a powerful spicing company, the Yellow Traders, Mordrag caught the eye of labormaster who brought him back to the center of operations in The Plains. Upon his arrivalt, the bear of a man discovered that the three barons with disputed sovereignty over this area had decided to work together to bring down the Yellow Traders after feeling threatened by their quickly growing influence. A combination of warehouse raids and forced boycotts – through intimidation, bribery and blackmail – brought about the fall of the great spicing company, and subsequently, Mordrag's unemployment.

Equipment: Mordrag has a tendency to collect a random variety of objects in his many pockets from rocks to jewelry to food items. He is fascinated by each item in his collection be it rare or mundane. Strapped to his back is a specialized marteau de lucerne – long polearm shaft ending in a spiked, double sided meat hammer with an extended spike on top. Underneath each of his hand wrappings are a couple of two-fingered rings, each equipped with a large, square stud to.

Abilities: Just like his outward appearance, Mordrag's fighting style mimics that of a large bear. He utilized his massive size to overwhelm his opponents, crushing or stabbing them from distance with the long reach of his arms and polearm together. Up close, the large man's thunderous punches are accentuated by the studded rings hidden under his hand wrappings. He is not the quickest or the most agile, so he is used to receiving more blows than he delivers; however, the man is able to survive by always making sure to hit much harder when his opportunity arises. Though he is inventive in no other way, Mordrag has an affinity for dealing pain.

Reason for Joining the Broken Horns: Already confident in the strength of his arms, Mordrag is always looking to improve the strength of his wallet. The corruption of the Empire of Civitas and the resultant opportunities for profit and pleasure have always enticed Mordrag to frequent the region. Recently unemployed, the man saw Rask's advertisement as a great remedy.
