In life, there are many obstacles and hardships, this is a fact that cannot be changed, regardless of what world or time period you are from. It's true that situations often help people grow and develop, but what happens when you find yourself stuck? What happens when there is nowhere to go and all you want to do is give up? Run away?

Suppose you find yourself lost, confused and then a crossroad appears to you one day; mysteriously. Maybe this has been happening to you for years or maybe this has only happened to you recently. The crossroad leads to a small, enigmatic cafe filled with bumbling energy and a certain sense of mysticism that you can only describe as "wisdom". This cafe is known as "Star Crossed" and is available to you and only you. True, family and friends may be able to see it, should they be stuck in the same mess as you, but otherwise, you've been selectively chosen.

So, now, you're given the opportunity to visit this cafe and explore it. You might find other species that you never knew existed or maybe you'll speak to someone who lived on the Earth over a hundred years ago. Maybe you'll find something new about yourself or the world around you. Maybe you'll find out the truth behind the cafe. Or maybe, just maybe, as outrageous as it sounds, you might find. . true love?

Origin: Far enough in the future where changing your body to look like, say, a feline is normal.

Reason: Evyn was recently dumped, found out he was adopted, and lost his job. Yes, he's feeling very touchy at the moment.

Personality: Evyn isn’t overly optimistic, and doesn’t like to spill his troubles to other people very much. He does enjoy having friends however, but does not make them very easily. He tries to keep detached from situations and seem very diplomatic but this sometimes comes across as being aloof and unfriendly. Tending to shy away from unfamiliar situations, he also looks like a scaredy cat, when in truth he’s just trying to protect himself the only way he can. The few friends he has sometimes forget this and slip into viewing him as just a coward, which he hates, as being a coward is one of the worst things a person can be in his opinion. This is how he quickly loses friends, as he slowly cuts them off. He also got into computers and technology as he grew, becoming interested in coding and programming. After messing around he found he had an aptitude for hacking and it became one of his many hobbies. He also has a fear of the dark, spawning from his overactive imagination. He has an almost crippling fear of fire, which came from the incident concerning his burns. He still doesn’t like large fires but can handle smaller ones, such as candles and matches.

Biography: As a child, his family lived in poverty, scavenging food and eating as little as possible. Their living conditions weren’t anything to be envied, and his parents had to sell everything they had-not a lot in the first place-just to make sure their children were fed. He felt very discouraged in his early years, and was very reckless, doing things that could harm him, just to get away from the nightmare of his life. It was in one of these endeavours, when he was just 12 years old, that he got burnt. His friends had dared him to jump over a blazing fire. Thinking it would be easy, he accepted. But the previous day, it had been raining and finding enough dry wood was a challenge. But when they’d finally lit the fire, and he prepared to jump, as he left the ground his grounded foot, the one he was jumping off, slipped and he fell, on his left side into the fire. He was rescued from this fairly quickly and dunked in cold water. But his side, face and arm had already been burnt and his mind was traumatised from the shocking realisation that he could die from doing this kind of thing. As he was young, he hadn’t the full consequences of death, hadn’t understood it fully. But now he did and the lasting trauma from that also rendered him mute. There was no physical problem with him, it was purely psychological. And he shut himself away from the world, appearing cold and indifferent to those that met him.

When he turned 15, he started to speak again, just small fragments of sentences, and not for very long. But this was a sign that he was recovering and he is now speaking fully, although does go through long periods of silence.

Ena is a spirited girl with lots of sass. She is a sarcastic girl and thinks realistically rather than cynically or romantically. She has problems believing love exists because of her history with love, whether it be paternal or otherwise. A natural nurturer, Ena can be seen as a motherly figure to the younger (and sometimes older) companions. She can be flirtatious sometimes, but other times she is very shy towards men. Feisty gypsy blood runs through her veins and she embraces it whole heatedly, but her determination can sometimes cause trouble.

Biography
Ena was born to travelling gypsy parents and their huge family clan. The gypsy group was meant to be a group of people that considered themselves family. That was the way after all. Yet, Ena knew the status in the family and she was very low on the pyramid. When her parents died, her mother's best friend, which was the woman she called her aunt, took her in. It didn't take very long until she was forced to marry her "cousin" at 14 years old.

Kindrel wanted nothing to do with his preteen wife, but he knew he had to stay with her for the sake of his family. Ena, at the ripe age of 15, had a child. A small baby boy. He was the only reason she had to stay with her "family" and she would not ruin it for him. That is, until she and her baby were captured by racist Englishmen. They killed her baby and raped her for 2 years until they eventually threw her back into the clan's previous home.

By then, they were long gone. She was alone and pregnant with a rapist's bastard child. Eventually, she had the child and lived off thievery with a child on her back. It was good for a while. Then the child caught ill. She, baby Raven, was only 5 years old when she past from illness. Ena was devasted. She has been suicidal ever since.
