Mason bit his lip. Apparently some of the "corpses" were still alive. He spat a string of curses. "We're in too deep here." He said, readying his rifle. "My ATV's in the garage. Run for there. I'll draw their fire. If I'm not there in five mikes, go back to the school without me. If I'm alive, I know the way to go home."
"Okay...okay. I will." She said readying her rifle turning on auto fire. "On your count." She says as she looks down the hallway more and more with out being seen.
"Mark!" Mason said. He sprinted out into the open, firing in the shooter's general position. The bullets stopped flying at him, but more of the undead were getting closer for a meal. Mason ducked, weaved, and tackled through the horde, receiving minor injuries that would cause him to turn.
Yami dodged around the door as low as she possibly could on the ground at a fast pace. She laid her back against a desk turned over shooting some cover fire towards the shooters when she had the best opening of bullet gap.
Mason ducked into an alcove, staying as quiet as possible. He hadn't been bitten, so he wouldn't turn. He took the opportunity to dig through his bag, coming out with a handful of firecrackers.
Yami ran behind him when she saw it was clear killing off some of the other walkers he missed. She got head shots so they would not bother them later on. She was careful not to be seen as well as she dodged around to be less obvious.
Yami looked back at Mason nodding her head as she headed to the shop room grabbing her sword killing only the ones who got in her way. She did not make too much noise to draw anymore near them. She waved her hand for him to follow her.
Yami made it to the shop room door holding it open for Mason as she held out her sword to cover each other. "I hope this was worth it." She said grabbing a piece of wood throwing it down the hallway to draw them away from them.
