Expressing my interest as well. A question, however, how often would you like us to post because I can probably do a post or two a week. Is that acceptable?
A post or two a week is perfectly fine. I probably won't be doing much more than that myself. So long as I know everyone's still active and working on a post, everything's A-okay.
Question: powers. How high are you willing to set the bar for powers?
On a scale from a retired Barnacle Boy to God, I'm hoping people will aim more for the less-than-astonishing X-Men characters; abilities that are good, but not amazing. Like Rogue, or Nightcrawler.
Then again, I may change my mind when I see what you had planned. If you want feedback on this power you speak of, PM me it and I can let you know. We can always work something out.
Good question. I'm thinking a mage type heroine with pyromancy and control over shadows. Don't want her to be to OP, though. Especially since magic isn't exactly "realistic."
Pyromancy and "umbrakinesis," as it's apparently called, doesn't sound too over-powered to me. It sounds like a good combo - very dark and brooding. Ooh, "Firelight"! That could be a good name.
Some ideas don't sound realistic initially, but if the writer's good at handling and explaining it, it'll be okay. The whole idea of superheroes fighting advanced alien life isn't realistic itself at all. So just explain this "magic" well and we'll be good.
I'm more torn if I want to play a male or female than worry about powers lol. Though I think either/or, my 'person' will have some sort of matter manipulation.
Gender Manipulation. Can change their own and others' gender at will. There, I solved both of your problems at once. I'm so smart.
In all honesty, though: go with whichever one you're more comfortable writing for. Unless you like a challenge. Then go with the opposite one. Yeah, I'm really not always helpful. I try, though.
